Powering On/Off:
To power on the device, press the POWER button. To put the device on
standby, press the standby button.

Getting started
- Take the appliance out of the box
- Remove all the packaging from the product.
- Place the packaging inside the box and either keep or dispose of properly in compliance with the waste sorting instructions shown on the product packaging.
Safety warning and notice
You must read and understand all the instructions before using this appliance. The warranty will not apply if damage is caused by a failure to follow the instructions.
- Never remove the appliance casing.
- Never place this appliance on other electrical equipment.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at the plugs, sockets, and the point where it exits the appliance. Make sure that the power voltage corresponds to the voltage shown on the rating plate at the rear of the appliance. Always pull the plug from the socket when disconnecting from the mains. Never pull on the cord. Ensure you have completed all the other connections before connecting the plug.

Installation options
Mounting on base
Align the upper part of the base with the mounting point on the rear of the
main appliance. Once the base is in position, the circular mount on the base
aligns with the circular tab at the rear of the main appliance. A sound
(“click”) indicates the base is correctly clipped in. Check that the base is
securely mounted and does not come off. To remove the base, press on the
mounting tab to unlock the base and pull it downwards (see illustration
below):

It is important to ensure that no electrical cables or gas or water pipes are
located behind the wall on which you wish to mount the appliance. We would
recommend you have this micro hi-fi installed by a professional. Use the wall
mounting accessories provided and the mounting template to fit the micro hi-fi
system to the wall.
- Use the wall mounting instructions sheet provided to mark the location for the plastic wall plugs on the walls. Ensure that the marks are level before drilling.
- Drill 6.3 mm holes on the marks.
- Insert the plastic wall plugs supplied into the holes until these no longer protrude from the wall.
- Fix the 2 spacer rings on the wall, using the screws provided and tighten the screws.
- Once the screws are tight, the screw heads must be approximately 0.6 cm from the spacer rings. Align the holes at the rear of the main appliance with the screws placed on the wall (see illustration):

Carefully remove the central appliance and all its accessories from the box. Check that you have all the following accessories before scrapping the packaging:

- Mains adapter: 100-240 V~ 50/60 Hz. Output: 12 V 2,000 mA.
- Remote control

- Wall mounting kit (2 screws, 2 spacer rings and 2 plastic wall plugs)
Warning about batteries
This product contains one or more batteries.
- Use batteries correctly to prevent any injury or a fire caused by a leak, overheating, explosion, erosion or other damage.
- Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children or any vulnerable person. Stop using the product if the battery compartment does not close properly.
- If the liquid from an alkaline battery comes into contact with the skin and/or eyes, rinse immediately with fresh water and consult a physician.
- If an alkaline battery leaks, wipe up the liquid with a cloth and replace the battery with a new one.
- Do not swallow the battery/ies. If a battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns within 2 hours and can lead to death. If batteries are swallowed, contact a poison centre immediately and consult a physician.
- Use AA Ni-MH, alkaline or lithium batteries.
- Do not charge these batteries. Charging non-rechargeable batteries causes gas and/or heat emissions that can cause explosions and/or fires.
- Do not use different types of battery or a mixture or new and old batteries at the same time.
- Insert the batteries according to the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not put the same battery poles in contact with each other.
- Remove dead batteries quickly. There is a risk of the battery exploding if this is not replaced correctly or if the appliance is not used for a period of time.
- Replace the battery with an identical or equivalent model.
- The batteries (or battery pack) must not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunlight, fire, etc.
- Do not heat batteries and do not dispose of them in fire or water.
- Do not use metal pliers or metal objects such as the point of a pen or tweezers to remove batteries. Avoid deforming, crushing or piercing batteries.
- Do not disassemble the batteries.
- Cover the ends of the batteries with tape to prevent explosions and combustion when these need to be scrapped.
- Be environmentally friendly when scrapping batteries.
- Do not dispose of batteries in ordinary household waste.
- When scrapping batteries, be sure to comply with the local regulations in force in this matter.
Power supply
This unit operates via a 12 V 2,000 mA external powder adaptor (included) and requires CR2025 batteries (included) for the remote control. Do not try to make the unit operate with another power supply. You risk damaging the unit and voiding your warranty.
Use Operation
Press the POWER/SOURCE button to turn on the appliance. Keep it pressed down to turn it off.
Automatic standby
When you are playing audio media from a connected accessory, the micro hi-fi automatically goes into standby if:
- You don’t press any buttons for 10 minutes:
- The connected accessory has not sent any audio data for 10 minutes.
Adjusting the volume
- Press the button to increase the volume. Press the button to decrease the volume.
- Check the screen display, which should confirm the volume adjustment.
Mute function
- Press the MUTE button on the remote control. The volume is muted and “Volume muted” appears on the LCD screen. Press this button again to cancel the mute function.
Clock and timer Setting the time and date
Once the appliance is plugged into the mains or following a power cut, the LCD
displays the current time and date. To change the time, the appliance must be
in standby mode.
- Press the CLOCK button. “CLOCK” appears: press ENTER to confirm. “Time wizard interval” is displayed.
- Press to select “24H” or “12H” format. Press ENTER to confirm. The hour figures flash on the screen.
- Press to set the hour, then ENTER to confirm. The minute figures flash on the screen.
- Press to set the date, then ENTER to confirm. Press to select “YES” or “NO”.
Setting the alarm
Comment: Check that the radio is set to the correct time and date before
setting the alarm.
This appliance can act as an alarm clock. The CD/BUZZ function or FM radio can
be set to start at a predefined time.
- Press POWER to put the appliance into standby.
- Ensure the clock has been set beforehand.
- Press the ALARM button when the appliance turns off;
- “Alarm Setup” is displayed. Press the ENTER button to make your choice.
- “Alarm Wizard On time” is displayed and the alarm time figures flash.
- Press several times to set the hour. Press ENTER to confirm.
- Press to set the minutes. Press ENTER to confirm.
- Press to select the audio volume for the alarm, between 0 and 32. Press ENTER to confirm.
- Press to scroll through the OFF/CD/FM/USB/BUZZER status. Press ENTER to confirm.
- Press the button to scroll through the alarm period. You can choose between 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. Press the ENTER button to make your choice. Press to select YES and press ENTER to save the alarm.
- The screen shows the current time and the alarm.
Snooze
- Once the alarm sounds, it can be temporarily suspended for a period of approximately 9 minutes, by pressing the SNOOZE button once.
- The alarm automatically sounds again after about 9 minutes.
- To deactivate the snooze function, press the POWER button once.
Standby timer
- Press the SLEEP (standby) button repeatedly; you can adjust this timer to 90/80/70/60/50/40/30/20/10 minutes This function is useful for falling asleep to music at night.
- If you want to cancel this mode, press the SLEEP button several times until you reach 00; sleep mode is then cancelled.
FM radio
Carefully extend the telescopic aerial in full. You can programme up to 50
pre-set radio stations (FM).
Automatic tuning
- Press the SOURCE button to select “RADIO” mode.
- Hold the button down so that the radio scans the frequencies and stops automatically when it finds a station with a sufficient signal strength (50 pre-set stations).
- The screen updates after a few seconds. The screen shows the station frequency.
- Press MEM to display the pre-set radio stations.
- Press MEM+ or MEM- to listen to the radio.
- To find other stations, hold the button down as before.
- To scan the FM band in reverse (high frequencies to low frequencies), press the button and hold it down for 2 seconds.
Manual tuning
- Press the SOURCE button on the main appliance to select RADIO mode.
- Press or to reach a frequency. Every time you press the frequency adjustment button, the frequency increases or reduces by 50 kHz.
- Once you have found a frequency you want to save, press the MEM button on the remote control. “P01” is displayed on the screen; press MEM+/MEM- until the memory number you want is displayed on the screen. Press MEM again to confirm and save the current station.
- Press MEM+ or MEM- to display or listen to the radio.
(Comment: once the end of the frequency band is reached, the radio starts to search for frequencies again, starting at the other end of the band. If no station is found, ensure that the aerial is fully extended and test the reception by carrying out automatic tuning again in a different location).
Bluetooth Mode
You need to carry out several steps to connect your mobile phone:
- Activate the Bluetooth on your mobile phone (ensure you refer to the instructions for your telephone).
- Press the POWER button to power on the appliance, then press the SOURCE button several times until the “Bluetooth” indicator is displayed on the LCD screen. It will then be ready to be paired automatically.
- Using your mobile phone, search for the Bluetooth device called “MIC400BT”/“MIC401BT”.
- Your mobile phone will detect “MIC400BT”/“MIC401BT” and will ask you if you wish to connect. To connect, enter the password 0000 (if applicable). Once connected, the “Bluetooth connected” indicator appears on the LCD screen.
Automatic connection to your phone
Pairing is only necessary when first using the appliance with the phone. Once
the appliance has been paired with the phone, this will connect to the
appliance automatically when it is turned on and Bluetooth is activated on the
phone. The next time you turn on the appliance, it will automatically connect
to the mobile phone it was last connected to.
Hold the button down to disconnect the Bluetooth.
Comment: the maximum connection distance is approximately 10 m. Place
your Bluetooth speaker as close as possible to this appliance to prevent the
connection being disrupted.
Playing from a Bluetooth device
Once the Bluetooth has been paired, press the button to play. Press the or
button to move to the previous or next track. To pause or resume play, press
the button again. Hold the button down to disconnect the Bluetooth.
Playing a CD
Comment: Never touch the laser lens located inside the CD player. Clean the laser lens using a cleaning disk if this becomes dirty.
- Press the POWER button to turn on the appliance.
- Press the SOURCE button several times to select the CD function.
- Hold the button down to open the CD player and insert a CD (printed face uppermost).
- Hold the button down again to close the CD PLAYER. The disk will rotate for several seconds, and then the first track will be played automatically.
- Press the button to temporarily stop play. To resume play, press this button again. Press the button to STOP play.
Previous/next track
- The and buttons allow for moving from one track to another or for playing a track in fast forward.
- Press the button once to listen to the start of the current track. Press it twice or more to listen to the previous tracks on the disk.
- Press the button to listen to the next track on the disk.
- Hold the button down. The track currently playing is rewound to the previous track(s); when the disk has reached the desired part of the track, release the button: normal play resumes.
- Hold the button down. the track currently playing is forwarded to the next track(s). When the disk has reached the desired part of the track, release the button: normal play resumes.
Repeat function
The CD REPEAT button allows for repeating the same track or all the tracks on a CD.
1. Press the REPEAT button once while playing; “REPEAT ONE” (repeat one
track) appears on the LCD screen for about 2 seconds. The same track is
repeated continuously.
2. Press the REPEAT button a second time to repeat all the tracks. “REPEAT
ALL” (repeat all tracks) appears on the LCD screen for about 2 seconds.
3. To cancel repeat, press the REPEAT button several times until “REPEAT OFF”
appears on the LCD screen for about 2 seconds.
Programme function
The Programme function allows for programming the play order for up to 30 tracks.

1. When stopped only (when the CD is not playing), hold the PROG button down: The LCD screen then displays the code “P 01” and “T 01” starts to flash.

Press the and buttons to select the desired track.

Press the PROG button to select and save the track in the memory.

Repeat steps 2 to 3 to select up to 30 tracks.

To play the selected tracks (in Programme mode), press the button.

Press the button to listen to the previous programmed track or the button to listen to the next programmed track.
Comment: Once all the programmed tracks have been played, the CD player stops.7. Press then -
Press the button twice to delete all the tracks from the memory.
MP3 disk section
- Press the POWER button to turn on the appliance.
- Press the SOURCE button several times to select the CD function.
- Close the CD player: The disk will rotate for several seconds, and then the first track will be played automatically.
- Press the and buttons to select a track.
- Press the button to temporarily stop play; to resume play, press this button again.
- Press the button to stop play.
Comment : It will take longer to start playing MP3 disks. This is due to their higher capacity.
Repeat play function
Repeating the same track
Press the REPEAT button once to repeat the same track. The display shows
“Repeat one”. Repeating all tracks
When playing, press the REPEAT button twice to play all the tracks on the disk
repeatedly. The display shows “Repeat All”.
To cancel repeat play, press the REPEAT button several times until “Repeat
off’ is displayed.
Playing a programme
The tracks on the disk can be programmed to be played in a given order (up to
99 tracks can be programmed).
Comment: this can only be done when stopped.
- Press the PROG button when stopped. “P01” and “F01” are displayed on the screen, and “T01” flashes.
- Press the or button to select the desired tracks from the album, then press the PROG button to store them in the memory.
- The number of the first track is now stored in the memory and the programme number
changes to “P02”, awaiting your next selection.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to programme other tracks.
Once the programming is complete, press the button and programmed play
starts with the first programmed track. The player stops automatically once
all the programmed tracks have been played. (Press the button twice to delete
the programmed tracks from the memory).
Setting the equalizer
When your appliance is switched on (and not in standby mode):
- Press the EQ button to enter the menu options.
- Use the button to set the equalizer function (e.g. : Normal, Classic, Jazz, Pop, Rock) according to your preference.
- Press the EQ button twice and use the button to scroll through the base settings.
- Press the EQ button three times and use the button to scroll through the treble settings.
USB charging
The USB port is designed to charge external devices, such as a smartphone. Its
output power is 5 V=1 A
AUX jack socket
- Press the POWER button to turn on the appliance.
- Press the SOURCE button several times to select the Aux input mode. “Aux-In” appears on the LCD screen.
- Plug the AUX jack cord from your personal player (e.g. portable MP3 player) into the AUX jack socket.
- Start playing from your personal player.
Headphone or earbud socket
- Turn the volume knob to set the appliance to a low volume.
- Insert the headphone cord into the socket.
Take the following information into consideration: only use the electrical power supply indicated below.
About disks
Handling
- Do not touch the inner side of a disk.
- Hold the disk by its edges to prevent leaving fingerprints on the surface. Dust, fingerprints or scratch marks can cause a malfunction.
- Never place a sticker or tape on a disk.
Storage
- Replace the disk in its case after use.
- Never expose a disk to direct sunlight or heat sources. Never leave a disk inside a car parked in full sunshine.
Cleaning
Use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth to clean the disk, starting from the centre and wiping outwards in a straight line. Be sure not to use solvents such as petrol, thinners, commercial cleaning sprays or antistatic sprays for vinyl records.

Additional information
- In order to save energy, when the appliance does not issue any audio output for a certain amount of time, it will automatically go into standby mode. It can then be restarted using the power button.
