Product Usage Instructions

Getting Started

  1. Ensure the unit is turned Off.
  2. Locate the battery cover at the bottom of the unit and use a screwdriver to open it.
  3. Remove old batteries and install 4 new AA batteries following the diagram inside the battery box.
  4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw.

WARNING: Adult assembly is required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

  • Automatic Shut-Off: The toy will power down after 35 seconds without input to save battery life. It can be turned On again by pressing a Star Button or sliding the switch to Learn Mode or Game Mode.

WARNING
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.

NOTE
Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.

  1. Turn the packaging locks counterclockwise several times.
  2. Pull out and discard the packaging locks.

GETTING STARTED

Battery Removal and Installation

  1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
  2. Locate the battery cover located on the bottom of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw, and then open the battery cover.
  3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
  4. Install 4 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.)
  5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

WARNING
Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION

  • Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
  • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
  • Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
  • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
  • Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:

  • Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from toy before charging.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  1. On/Off/Mode Switch
    To turn the unit On, slide the On/Off/ Mode Switch to the Learn Mode ( ) or the Game Mode ( ) position. You will hear a song, phrases and sounds.
    To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off/ Mode Switch to the Off  position.

  2. Automatic Shut-Off
    To preserve battery life, the Dribble & Bounce Tiger will automatically power down after approximately 35 seconds without input. The unit can be turned On again by pressing a Star Button or by sliding the On/Off/Mode Switch to the Learn Mode or the Game Mode position.

NOT E

This product is in Try-Me mode. After opening the package, please turn Dribble & Bounce Tiger Off and On again to proceed with normal play.
If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please install a new set of batteries.

ACTIVITIES

  1. Star Buttons
    Press the four Star Buttons to hear numbers, songs, phrases, melodies and sound effects. If Tiger is on the floor, he will spin will spin or bounce the basketball and move in response to the voices and sounds. The light will flash with the sounds.

  2. Front and Back Sensors
    Tiger is equipped with special sensors on the front and back of his shoes. Come near the sensors to activate them and see Tiger move by spinning or bouncing the basketball. Tiger will respond with playful phrases, music and sounds. The light will flash with the sounds. NOTE
    The infrared light sensors in the shoes are sensitive to sunlight. The sensors may not perform properly in brightly lit, sunny rooms or under direct sunlight.

  3.  Pick-Up Sensor
    Tiger has a special sensor on the bottom of one of the wheels and knows when he has been picked up. Each time you pick him up, him will respond with a cute phrase and stop the motions. The light will flash with the sounds.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
  3. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
  4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
  5. For best performance, we recommend that you use new batteries. Otherwise the unit may move slowly.
  6. We recommend that you avoid playing with the unit in bright sunlight or outdoors. Bright light will negatively affect the sensors.
  7. We recommend that you play with this unit in open spaces that are free of obstacles to prevent the toy from running into objects.
  8. For the best performance, we do not recommend playing with the unit on thick carpet or rugs. Solid, smooth surfaces are best.
  9. If you receive an abnormal response or no response at all from the unit, please turn the unit Off, replace the batteries and then turn the unit On again.
  10. We recommend always playing with this toy on clean surfaces. Dirt on the wheels could cause damage to the unit.
  11. If the unit starts moving slowly, this is a sign that the batteries are low on power. We recommend replacing the batteries with an entire set of new batteries.
  12. Do not roll the unit on your child’s clothing, body or hair while the toy is turned on. If something gets caught in the wheels while the unit is turned On, slide the Mode Selector Switch to the Off position.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

  1. Turn the unit Off.
  2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
  3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
  4. Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
  5. If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
