BATTERY OPERATION
- Your Tractive Dog XL tracker is operated by a rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery.
- Use only chargers provided by Tractive GmbH or those specifically approved for use with lithium-ion polymer batteries.
- Do not leave the battery connected to the charger for extended periods once it is fully charged. Overcharging can lead to overheating and reduce the battery’s lifespan.
- Avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures. High temperatures can lead to overheating, while low temperatures can affect the battery’s performance.
- Protect the battery from physical damage. Avoid dropping, puncturing, or otherwise subjecting the battery to impact, as this can lead to a leakage of electrolytes or other safety hazards.
- Charge the battery in a well-ventilated and open area.
- Avoid charging the battery near flammable materials. If you notice any unusual behavior such as excessive heat or swelling, stop charging immediately.
