Quick Start Guide
Note : Read this guide online at tractive.com/quick- start
Charge with provided USB cable Firmly snap the charger to your tracker. You should hear a click when it’s connected properly. Red light shows battery is charging. When 100% charged, it turns green.
Charge at past 2 hours before frst use
Turn on
Tracker

Your tracker will turn on while charging, and stay on until you turn it off.

You can double check if the tracker is on by pressing the power button shortly.

Press and hold power button to turn on/off.

Press shortly to check device status.
Light blinks twice if tracker is turned on.
First blink
- shows network status, and second blink
- shows GPS status.
Network OK – GPS OK
No network – GPS OK
Network OK – no GPS
No network – no GPS In a Power Saving Zone
Activate
with your tracker ID Use the 8 character ID on the back of your tracker, and follow the instructions on the app or at my.tractive.com.
Attach
To collar
- Remove your pet’s collar and continue according to the collar width.
For collar widths of 1.5cm or less
Remove rubber clip from tracker. Put collar through the rectangle-shaped holes on sides of rubber clip. Fasten rubber clip to tracker.
For collar widths above 1.5cm
Remove rubber clip on one side of tracker. Place collar between rubber clip
and tracker. Close rubber clip again.
Put your pet’s collar back on and you’re good to go.

people, animals and objects. It’s the sole responsibility of the owner and
user to abide by the law and rules in the area the Tractive GPS device is
used. Please switch off the Tractive GPS tracker before boarding a plane

Important Although the Tractive GPS device is small in size, it might be too
large or heavy for small or injured pets. If you are unsure whether you can
use this device with your pet, we highly recommend consulting a pet doctor or
veterinarian
BATTERY OPERATION
Your Tractive GPS tracker is operated by a rechargeable lithium-ion polymer
battery
- The battery of the Tractive GPS tracker cannot be replaced and must not be removed
- Batteries may not be disassembled, thrown into fire or short-circuited. Do not carry or store the battery together with metal objects that may short-circuit the positive and negative terminals of the battery
- Never expose the Tractive GPS device to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
- Do not drive metal objects into the battery, hit it with a hammer, or damage and crush it otherwise
- Keep batteries away from children and pets to prevent them from being swallowed. Swallowing may lead to bums, perforation of soft tissue, and death. severe bums can occur within 2 hours of Ingestion. In case of ingestion of a cell or
- battery, seek medical or vet assistance promptly.
- If the battery overheats or deforms during charging or use with the device, immediately remove it from the device or charger and do not use.
- Only use the USB cable that came with your Tractive GPS device. The use of other cables might overcharge the battery and can lead cofire or explosion
- Do not use a fast charger.

Tracker operating temperature of -1o·c to +40″C (14 to +104 “F), do not charge below O ·c (32 “F) Disregarding these instructions can cause damage and possibly even cause the battery to explode
DISPOSAL
Batteries are hazardous waste. For the correct disposal of batteries,
appropriate containers are provided at the premises of commercial battery
dealers as well as local council waste disposal facilities. If you want to
dispose of your Tractive GPS device, follow the current local provisions at
the time. Information may be obtained from the local council waste disposal
facility.
