Read and understand this manual and all safety signs before using this appliance.
Indoor use only.

  • This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • This product is exclusively intended for the field of application described in this manual. This product should only be used as described within these instructions.
  • Do not expose the appliance to extreme temperatures, vibration or shock.
  • The outdoor transmitter is not watertight. Choose a dry and shady installation spot for the transmitter.

General Guidelines

  • Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
  • All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
  • Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
  • Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
  • Nor Velleman nv nor its dealers can be held responsible for any damage (extraordinary, incidental or indirect) ­ of any nature (financial, physical…) arising from the possession, use or failure of this product.

Installation

Powering the Weather Station
This weather station can be powered by batteries or via a power adapter.
Open the battery compartment of the weather station. Insert the batteries observing the correct polarity and re-insert the battery door.
Connect the weather station to the mains using the included power adapter or an exact equivalent.

Settings

Setting the Time and Date

  1. In normal display mode, press and hold MODE. The digits will flash. Set the time format with or .
  2. Press MODE again. The digits will flash. Set the hour with .
  3. Press MODE again. The digits will flash. Set the minutes with  .
  4. Press MODE again. The digits will flash. Set the year with .
  5. Press MODE again. The digits will flash. Set the month with .
  6. Press MODE again. The digits will flash. Set the date with .
  7. Press MODE again. The hour digits will flash. Select the temperature unit with .
  8. Press MODE again to confirm and to return to normal mode.

Setting the Alarm

  1. In normal display mode, press and hold ALARM. The digits will flash. Set the alarm hour with .
  2. Press ALARM again. The digits will flash. Set the alarm minutes with .
  3. Press ALARM again to confirm and to return to normal mode.

In normal display mode, briefly press ALARM to switch the alarm on or off.
When the alarm is sounding, press the snooze button to silence the alarm. The alarm will buzz again after 5 minutes.
When the alarm is sounding, press any other button to stop the alarm.
Weather Forecast
This weather station displays 4 levels of weather forecast: sunny ­- partially cloudy ­ cloudy — rainy
Indoor Temperature
Using this weather station for the first time, it may take up to a few hours of collecting information before receiving accurate forecasts.
The indoor temperature will automatically appear on the display. When the measured temperature is lower than 0 °C, the weather station will display LL. When the measured temperature is higher than 50 °C, the weather station will display HH.
Max/Min Temperature

  1. In normal display mode, briefly press MAX/MIN to display the maximum recorded temperature. Press and hold MAX/MIN to delete the recorded value.
  2. Briefly press MAX/MIN again to display the minimum recorded temperature. Press and hold MAX/MIN to delete the recorded value.

Display Brightness
In normal display mode, briefly press SNOOZE to select the display brightness.
Energy-Saving Mode
When operated by battery, the display will switch off after 10 seconds. Press any button to switch on the display and exit the energy-saving mode.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Before startig any cleaning or maintenance activities, unplug the appliance from its power source.
  • Wipe all exterior surfaces of the appliance clean with a soft cloth dampened with a soap and water solution. Do not immerse or submerge any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. Never use solvents or cleaning agents containing petroleum (petrol, kerosene, oil), paint thinner, turpentine, alcohol, or ammonia.

Maintenance

  • This appliance does not need any maintenance. Do not open exterior casing of the appliance. There are no userserviceable parts inside. Opening or visible attempts to open or repair the appliance may void any guarantee and/or cause damage to the product or personal injury.

Storage

  • Store the appliance and its accessories in its original package in a clean and dry area.

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):

  • All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.

  • Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion. You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

  • Not covered by warranty:
    – all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity…), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
    – consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts… (unlimited list); – flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc….;
    – flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;
    – damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);
    – damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article; – all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.

  • Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

  • Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair.
    Note that returning a nondefective article can also involve handling costs.

  • Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.

  • The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
