Installation
- Before operating the heater, attach the feet of the appliance. Never use the appliance without the feet.
- Install vertically on a flat, dry, stable, and non-slippery surface.
General Operation
- Your appliance is provided with a rotating control knob:
- I = minimum (800 W)
- II = medium (1200 W)
- III = maximum (2000 W)
- Rotate the thermostat knob clockwise to the desired position and switch the heater on.
- When your room reaches the desired temperature, slowly rotate the thermostat knob counterclockwise until the pilot light goes out. The thermostat can now be left at this setting. The unit will switch itself on automatically when the room temperature drops below the set temperature.
- To completely shut off the heater, turn the control knob to OFF (0) and remove the plug from the socket outlet.

- Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate, and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
- If the external flexible cable or cord of this appliance is damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.

- Install the appliance in a vertical position and at a distance of a minimum of 0.5 m away from furniture and other objects. Never operate the appliance near inflammable or explosive materials or gases.
- Do not use the appliance in rooms when these are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own unless constant supervision is provided.
- The first time you use the appliance, a little smoke and smell due to the protective substances applied to the heating element before transport may be given off. This is normal and should not be considered a fault.
- This heater is filled with a precise quantity of special oil. Repairs requiring the opening of the oil container are only to be made by the manufacturer or his service agent who should be contacted if there is an oil leak. When scrapping the heater, follow the regulations concerning the disposal of oil.

Installation
- Before operating the heater, you must attach the feet of the appliance. Never use the appliance without the feet.

Operation
General Operation
- Your appliance is provided with a rotating control knob:
- I = minimum (800 W)
- II = medium (1200 W)
- III = maximum (2000 W)
- Rotate the thermostat knob clockwise to the desired position and switch the heater on.
- When your room reaches the desired temperature, you can slowly rotate the thermostat knob counterclockwise until the pilot light goes out. The thermostat can now be left at this setting. As soon as the room temperature has dropped below the set temperature, the unit will switch itself on automatically until the set temperature has been reached again. In this way, the room temperature remains constant with the most economical use of electricity.
- To completely shut off the heater, turn the control knob to OFF (0), and remove the plug from the socket-outlet.
Overheating Protection
- This heater is equipped with an overheating protection, which will automatically switch off the heater in case of overheating. If this occurs, please unplug from the mains and allow cooling for 30 minutes before reconnecting and switching on again.
- To avoid overheating, check that the appliance is sufficiently ventilated and that the air intakes are unobstructed. Please contact your local dealer if the heater keeps switching off.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Before cleaning, switch off the appliance, disconnect it from the mains, and allow to cool completely.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Protect it from splashes and spraying liquid.
- Occasionally wipe it with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):
- All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
- Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.
- You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.
Not covered by warranty
- all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity…), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
- consumable goods, parts, or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts… (unlimited list);
- flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc.…;
- flaws caused deliberately, negligently, or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;
- damage caused by commercial, professional, or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);
- damage resulting from inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;
- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.
- Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
- Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
- Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
- The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
