IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons including the following:
CAUTION – High temperature, keep electrical cords, drapery, and other furnishings at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and away from the side and rear.

  1. Read all instructions before using this appliance.

  2. Do not use outdoors.

  3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  4. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  5. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.

  6. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating unattended.

  7. Unplug power cord before servicing or moving the heater. Always unplug heater when not in use.

  8. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.

  9. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.

  10. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.

  11. To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.

  12. Connect to properly grounded outlets only.

  13. Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as it may cause an electric shock or fire or damage the heater. Do not block or tamper with the heater in any manner while it is in operation.

  14. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.

  15. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.

  16. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons.

  17. Where possible, avoid the use of extension cords because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.

  18. This heater includes an overheat protection system that shuts off the heater when parts of the heater are getting excessively hot. If the heater shuts off, immediately turn the heater OFF and inspect for any objects, on or adjacent to the heater, which may cause high temperatures. DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER UNTIL IT IS RESET. To reset the heater, turn it OFF, unplug it from the electrical socket, and wait five to ten minutes for the unit to cool down before plugging it back in and turning the heater on.

  19.  Make certain that the power source conforms to the electrical requirements of the heater.

  20. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not place heater on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.

  21. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. It must NOT be used in potentially dangerous locations such as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden or wet atmosphere. This heater is intended for use in general use only. WARNING: DO NOT DEPEND ON THE ON/OFF SWITCH THE SOLE MEANS OF DISCONNECTING POWER WHEN SERVICING OR MOVING THE HEATER. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
    WARNING: REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK–DO NOT USE THIS HEATER WITH ANY SOLID STATE SPEED CONTROL DEVICES.

  22. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

Unpacking the Electric Fireplace:
WARNING! Do NOT use this Electric Fireplace if any part has been under water.
Immediately call a qualified service technician to inspect and to replace any part of the electrical system if necessary. Keep plastic wrapping away from children.

  • Open the packaging carefully and remove the foam.
  • Remove and immediately discard the plastic bag.
  • Be responsible when handling the packing materials.
  • Keep the original packaging for future transport and/or storage.
  • Check all accessories are got before you keep the packing.

LOCATING YOUR ELECTRIC FIREPLACE
Your new electric fireplace may be installed virtually anywhere in your home. However, when choosing a location, ensure that the general instructions are followed. For best results, install out of direct sunlight. Power supply service must be either completed or placed within the electric fireplace prior to finishing avoiding reconstruction.
WARNING! Keep drapery and other furnishings at least 3ft /0.9m from the front and sides of the electric fireplace.

Installation:

NOTE!

  • After installation, ensure that there is a space between the wall and the fireplace insert.

Install insert:

GROUNDING

Plug the power supply cord into a wall outlet (120VAC, 60Hz). The cord has a plug as shown at A.
You should connect as shown below:

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

A 15 AMP, 120 Vo l t, the unit comes standard with 6 feet (1.8 m) three wire cord and plug, exiting from the rear of the fireplace. Plan the installation to avoid the use of an extension cord. Preferably, the fireplace will be on a dedicated circuit as other appliances on the same circuit may cause the circuit breaker to trip or the fuse to blow when the heater is in operation.

OPERATING INSTRUCTION

Power
Make sure the Power Switch, located on the control panel, is in the OFF position. Plug the power cord into a 110~120 Volt 15 Amp outlet. Make sure the outlet is in good condition and that the plug is not loose. NEVER exceed the maximum amperage for the circuit. DO NOT plug other appliances into the same circuit.
Temperature Limiting Control
This heater is equipped with a Temperature Limiting Control. Should the heater reach an unsafe temperature, the heater will automatically turn OFF. To reset:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
  2. Turn the Power Switch on the CONTROL PANEL to OFF. Wait at least 5 minutes.
  3. Inspect the fireplace to make sure no vents are blocked, or clogged with dust or lint. If they are, use a vacuum to clean the vent areas.
  4. With the Power Switch in the OFF position, plug the power cord back into the outlet.
  5. If it switches off again, UNPLUG THE HEATER RIGHT AWAY! Have the outlets, wiring, and breaker box inspected by a professional. Make necessary repairs before using the heater.

Heater Rating
Maximum heat output: 1500W (4600BTU); Maximum heating area: 400 square feet.
Operation
Read and understand this entire owner’s manual, including all safety information, before plugging in or using this product. Failure to do so could result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or death.

Control Panel

Located on the right and top side panel of the fireplace.

BUTTON NAME FUNCTION
POWER SWITCH Turn on the main power supply. A long “beep” sound will be

heard when the switch is turned on On Position “I”.
Note: The remote control will lost the memory for function settings when the switch is turned on Off Position “0”.
| FLAME| The flame will be cycled Flame A — Flame B — Flame C —Flame Off.
Flame A: full bright flame + little blue Flame B: full bright flame
Flame C: half bright flame
| HEATER| The heater will be cycled Low — High — Heater Off. You will see the indicator light illuminates on left to Power Switch. The indicator light goes out within 10s.  Low: (.o) High: (n)
Note:
1. Heater can be used without flame.
2. Whether the heating is working depends on whether the settled temperature by thermostat is higher than the environment temperature.
3. The Fan works anterior to the heater about 10s, and turns off later than the heater about 10s.
4. The indicator light in the lower fuel bed always illuminates when heater is on.
| THERMOSTAT| Start with setting 9 and when the room has reached a desired level, turn the rotary switch counterclockwise until the thermostat just ‘clicks’ off. The thermostat will then maintain the room at the selected level. To increase the temperature, turn the rotary switch clockwise to a higher setting.

Remote Control

NOTICE:
Control panel Power Switch must be ON to use remote control.
Aim the remote control at the remote receiver. Make sure you hear a beep each time you press the button! If not, the fireplace will not respond to the signal.

REMOTE BUTTON NAME FUNCTION
POWER This fireplace can be easily operated by this button. All function

settings will be memorized if the fireplace is turned off by “Power Button”. For next use, we can only push this button to have the same settings (can both for flame and heater) as latest use. For first time use, it will turn on Flame A.
| FLAME| The flame will be cycled Flame A — Flame B — Flame C —Flame Off.
| LOW HEAT| To turn on the heater on half heat setting or turn off the heater.
| HIGH HEAT| To turn on the heater on full heat setting or turn off the heater.
| CRACKLING| To turn on the crackling and cycle through loud crackling sound — regular crackling sound — low cracking sound – loud crackling sound with wind — regular crackling sound with wind — low loud crackling sound with wind.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR SERVICING.
DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER!

  • Always turn OFF the heater and disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet before cleaning your heater.
  • Light accumulated dust may be removed from the heater with a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater occasionally with a slightly damp cloth (not dripping wet) using a solution of mild detergent and water. Dry the case thoroughly before operating the heater.

Caution: Do not allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could create a fire or electric shock hazard.

  • The fan motor is factory lubricated for life and will not require further lubrication.
  • Store heater in a clean dry place when not in use.

Warning: Any other servicing needed must be performed by an authorized service representative.
Do not attempt to service the unit yourself.
