Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Unpack
- Carefully unpack the MODEL M4 and verify the included items.
Step 2: Place
- Place the MODEL M4 on a sturdy shelf or mount it in a rack (optional).
- Remove the feet from the bottom of the MODEL M4.
- Attach the rack mount brackets securely using the provided screws.
Step 3: Connect
- Connect up to 4 pairs of speakers to the MODEL M4.
- Connect the power cord and choose the appropriate cord for your region.
- Connect the MODEL M4 to your network using the included Ethernet cable.
- Turn on the power switch.
Step 4: Control
- Download the HEOS app from the respective app store.
Step 5: Configure
- The MODEL M4 will appear on the Rooms Tab in the HEOS app.
- Go to Settings/ My Devices to customize settings.
- Follow the instructions in the app to complete configuration.
Before you begin
The MODEL M4 is designed to add HEOS multi-room audio functionality with the convenience of a centrally located and rack-mountable multi-channel amp.
Make sure you have the following items in working order:
- Network router Internet Connection
- Apple iOS or Android mobile device connected to your network
- Speakers & Speaker Wires
Unpack
- Carefully unpack your new MODEL M4.
- Verify that the following items are included in the box.
Place
Place the MODEL M4 on a sturdy shelf.
Mount in a rack (Optional)
- Remove the two screws on each side of MODEL M4. Align the included rack mount brackets with the screw holes and reattach the screws making sure they are secure.
- Remove the feet on the bottom of MODEL M4.
- Rack mount the MODEL M4 using the included rack mount brackets.
Connect
- Connect up to 4 pairs of speakers.
- Connect the MODEL M4 to your network using the included Ethernet cable.
- Connect the power cord. Choose a proper power cord in your region.
- Turn on the power switch.
Control

Download the HEOS app.
Go to the Apple App Store, Google Play or Amazon App Store and search for “HEOS” to download and install. -
Launch the HEOS app and follow the instructions in the app.
Configure
The MODEL M4 will appear on the Rooms Tab. Go to Settings/My Devices to edit the default settings of your MODEL M4.
