VTech 80-568500 Sort and Discover Activity Wagon
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the Sort & Discover Activity WagonTM!
Roll into an adventure while exploring four sides packed with exciting
activities that will spark imagination and curiosity. Sit and say hello to
animal friends and activities, then pull the wagon along to take the play on
the go.
INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE
Quick Start Guide
WARNING
- All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE
- Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.
Unlock the Packaging Locks
- Rotate the packaging locks 90 degrees counterclockwise.
- Pull out the packaging locks and discard.
GETTING STARTED
Battery Removal and Installation
- Make sure the unit is turned Off.
- Find the battery cover located on the back of the Electronic Panel. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
- Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
- Install 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.)
- Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
WARNING:
- Adult assembly required for battery installation.
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:
- Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
LABEL APPLICATION
Please securely stick the labels to the activity panels as indicated below:
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
With the Sort & Discover Activity WagonTM safety comes first.
To ensure your child’s safety, adult assembly is required. For your child’s
safety, do not let your child play with the toy until it is fully assembled.
- Please make sure the VTech® logo side of the Bottom Panel is facing up. Connect the Front Panel and the Back Panel to the Bottom Panel first. Next, connect the two Side Panels to the Bottom Panel. You will hear the pieces click together when inserted correctly. Use the 9 Screws to secure the panels together.
- Attach the 4 Wheels to the Side Panels. Push the Wheels onto the supports until you hear the Wheels click twice and the wheels are flush with the supports.
- Connect the Handle to the Side Panels. Push the Handle down until you hear the Handle click into place.
PRODUCT FEATURES
- On/Off/Volume Switch
- To turn the unit On, slide the On/Off/ Volume to the Low volume or the High volume position. You will hear a song and phrases. To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off/Volume to the Off position.
- Automatic Shut-Off
- To preserve battery life, the Sort & Discover Activity WagonTM will automatically shut down after approximately 30 seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by interacting with any of the features on the Electronic Panel.
NOTE
- If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please install a new set of batteries.
ACTIVITIES
- Number Buttons
- Press the Number Buttons to hear numbers, colors, shapes and melodies. The light will flash with the sound.
- Roller
- Spin the Roller to hear fun sounds and short tunes. When a short tune is playing, roll the Roller again quickly to speed up the short tune. The light will flash with the sound.
- Twisting Lion
- Twist the Twisting Lion to hear cute phrases, sounds, songs and music.
- The light will flash with the sound.
- Flip Page
- Turn the Flip Page to hear the animals identified, short tunes and playful sounds. The light will flash with the sound.
- Peek-a-boo Doors
- Slide the Peek-a-boo Doors to learn about the animals, hear sounds and short tunes. The light will flash with the sound.
- Motion Sensor
- Push or pull the wagon to activate the Motion Sensor to hear a phrase, fun sounds and short tunes.
- Shape Sorting
- For added fun, slide the Shape Sorter Blocks into the matching slots on either end of the wagon.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
- Turn the unit Off.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
- If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
