Media CR1720 Crochet for Beginners and Adults

CROCHET SET

Before beginning this project, you have to learn some basic crochet techniques. Magic loop, double crochet and then fastening off. Firstly, we will use the crochet hook to create a magic loop.

Following the illustration, wrap the yarn around your finger twice. Leave at least a 15cm tail, until you become familiar with this method.
When you crochet, use your right hand to hold the hook. Leave 4cm from the tip of the hook to your hand, refer to picture A. Put your middle finger on the crochet hook 1.5cm away from the tip of the hook. Put the other two fingers close to crochet hook, just as picture b shows.
Following the illustration, hold the loop with 2 fingers and draw the working yarn through the loop with your hook from the ring finger.
So you have one loop on the hook.
Pull the working yarn through the loop with your hook following the direction of the arrow.
Insert the hook passing through the loop following the direction of the arrow. This creates a chain stitch.
Pull the working yarn through the loop with your hook following the direction of the arrow.
Pull the working yarn through the loop with your crochet hook in the direction of the arrow again.
Double crochet made, please note these two steps make one stitch.
Keep drawing the working yarn through the loop from the direction of the arrow. repeat steps 7 & 8 six more times, 7dc made.
Insert the hook through the loop following the direction of the arrow.
Pull the working yarn through the loop with your hook following the direction of the arrow.
Pull the working yarn through the loop with your hook following the direction of the arrow again. we call it a slip stitch, referring to illustrations 12 & 13.
When you finish the first round, you can use the plastic needle to put different colored thread to mark where the beginning of the round is.
When you reach the last stitch in the round or row, cut off the yarn leaving a 12 cm tail, slip the end of the yarn through the stitch, and pull it to tighten the loop. Weave the tail into your work.
