Product Usage Instructions

Battery Removal and Installation

1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
2. Find the battery cover located on the dog’s tummy, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw, and then open the battery cover.
3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
4. Install 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. For best performance, alkaline batteriesare recommended. Rechargeable batteries are not guaranteed to work with this product
5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

WARNING: Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

1. On/Off/Mode Selector: Slide to Free Play mode, Follow Me mode, or Learn to Play Mode. Slide to Off position to turn off.
2. Low/High Volume Switch: Select Low volume or High volume.
3. Light-Up Musical Bars: Press or tap to learn music notes, create music, or follow light patterns to play songs.
4. Turning Collar: Turn to move the Mallet closer to the Musical Bars.
5. Mallet: Use to play music by tapping on the musical bars.

1. Free Play Mode: Press or tap Musical Bars to hear individual music notes and create music. Bars will light up.
2. Follow Me Mode: Press or tap Musical Bars to play a game of follow me. Bars will light up and voice will guide through a sequence of notes with three levels of play.

   • Level 2: Sequence of 5 notes
   • Level 3: Sequence of 8 notes
3. Learn to Play Mode: Follow song lyrics for interactive play and learning.

Create your own melodies, discover different music notes, then follow the light-up bars to play songs in an exciting game. Do re mi, it’s a party!

Unlock the packaging locks:

1. Turn the packaging locks 90 degrees counterclockwise several times.
2. Pull out and discard the packaging locks.

GETTING STARTED

Battery Removal and Installation

1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
2. Find the battery cover located on the dog’s tummy, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw, and then open the battery cover.
3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
4. Install 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. For best performance, alkaline batteries are recommended. Rechargeable batteries are not guaranteed to work with this product.
5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION

• Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
• Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
• Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:

• Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from toy before charging.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

PRODUCT FEATURES

1. On/Off/Mode Selector
   To turn the unit On, slide the On/Off/Mode Selector to the Free Play mode , Follow Me mode or Learn to Play
   Mode . To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off/Mode Selector to the Off position.

2. Low/High Volume Switch
   Slide the Volume Switch to select Low volume or High volume .

3. Light-Up Musical Bars
   Press or tap the Musical Bars to learn music notes, create music or follow light patterns to play songs.

4. Turning Collar
   Turn the Collar around to move the Mallet closer to the Musical Bars.

5. Mallet
   Use the Mallet to play music by tapping on the musical bars.

6. Automatic Shut-Off
   To preserve battery life, the Zoo Jamz® Doggy Xylophone will automatically shut off after 60 seconds without input. The xylophone can be turned on again by sliding the On/Off/Mode Selector to Free Play mode, Follow Me mode or Learn to Play Mode.

NOTE
If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please install a new set of batteries..

ACTIVITIES

1. Free Play Mode
   Slide the On/Off/Mode Selector to Free Play mode then press or tap the Musical Bars to hear individual music notes and create music. The corresponding musical bar will light up.

2. Follow Me Mode
   Slide the On/Off/Mode Selector to Follow Me mode then press or tap the Musical Bars to play a fun game of follow me. The musical bars will light up and the voice will guide you through a sequence of notes.
   There are three levels of play. Each level will start by asking you to repeat one note and will build each time you respond with the correct note.

6. Learn to Play Mode
   Slide the On/Off/Mode Selector to Learn to Play mode then press or tap the Musical Bars to play a song.
   Press or tap the Musical Bars while a song is playing to play the song note by note, following the lights.
   There are three levels of play. In level 1 and 2, the song will pause and the light for the next note will remain on until the Musical Bar is pressed or the unit automatically shuts off.

7. Level 1: Play 7-9 notes from the song, the remaining notes will play automatically.

8. Level 2: Play 11-16 notes from the song, the remaining notes will play automatically.

9. Level 3: Play the full song note by note.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
3. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

1. Turn the unit Off.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit back On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
5. If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
