Our app is fully compatible with your range hood, requiring only a reliable 2.4 GHz frequency and a Wi-Fi connection within range of your appliance.

By utilizing the Hauslane app, you can conveniently control your hood remotely with user-friendly controls:

Setting Up your Range Hood

Install the Hauslane App

To download the Hauslane app, you need to have a compatible device with either the Google Play or Apple App Store. You can search for the app in the app store by typing “Hauslane” in the search bar. Once you find the app, tap the “Install” or “Get” button to start the download process.

Prepare your WIFI Unit

Ensure that your range hood is connected to a power source and positioned within the range of your Wi-Fi network’s coverage area.

Connecting your Range Hood

To pair the Hauslane app with your range hood, you need to follow the steps below:

1. Make sure your range hood is installed and connected to a power source.
2. Ensure the WIFI light button indicator of your range hood is flashing. If not, press and hold the WIFI button for 3s to activate. The WIFI light button indicator will be flashing for 3 minutes. Once the WIFI button indicator is connected, the WIFI light button indicator will stay ON steadily.
3. Ensure that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that your range hood is connected to.
4. Open the Hauslane app on your mobile device.
5. Tap the “Add Device” button located on the center of screen or ( + ) on the top right corner of the app’s home screen.
6. The app will search for nearby devices.
   • Searching for nearby devices. Make sure your device has entered pairing mode.
7. Select “Add” under Discovering Devices… ADD
8. Enter your Wi-Fi Information.
9. After your range hood has been added tap “Done”.

Troubleshooting for your Range Hood Connection Issues

If your range hood fails to connect to the Hauslane app, there are several troubleshooting tips you can try to fix the issue and connect your range hood to the app. Here are some steps you can take:

1. Check your Wi-Fi network: Ensure that your range hood is within the coverage area of your Wi-Fi network.

Hauslane App Control & Interface

The main control panel of the Hauslane app has several UI elements that allow you to control your range hood. Here’s a brief overview of these UI elements:

• Gesture Control: The range hood features built-in sensors for hands-free control. Wave your hand from left to right in front of the control panel to effortlessly adjust fan speeds.
• Delay Shut-Off: Will automatically turn off the range hood after 5 minutes. This function operates only when the fan is ON.
• Light Switch Button: The light button turns the range hood’s lights on?off.
• Baffle Filter Button: Allows you to reset the range hood’s Baffle Filter reminder indicator, which reminds you when it’s time to clean the range hood’s Baffle Filter.
• Power Button: The power button turns your range hood on and off.
• Fan Speed Buttons: The fan speed buttons allow you to  adjust the speed of the range hood’s fan. You can choose from several different fan speeds, depending on your cooking needs.

Voice Controls with Amazon Alexa and Google Home

To connect your hood with Amazon Alexa and/or Google Home, tap the profile icon ( ) in the app. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Amazon Alexa Commands

• Turn hood on or off:
  • Alexa, turn (On, Off) (device name)
• Set a specific fan speed:
  • Alexa, set fan speed to Off, low, medium, high, max on (device name)
• Turn hood light on or off:
  • Alexa, turn (device name) lights [On, Off]

Google Home Commands

• Turn hood on or off:
  • Ok Google, turn [On, Off) (device name)
• Set a specific fan speed:
  • Ok Google, set fan speed to Off, low, medium, high, max on (device name)
• Turn hood light on or off:
  • Ok Google, turn (device name) lights (On, Off)
