Product Usage Instructions
Working Mode 1: Set up as a Wireless Access Point
- Power on:
- Plug the access point into a power outlet.
- Wait until the LED indicator blinks red slowly.
- Create Your Wireless Access Point Network:
- Connect your WiFi device to the default WiFi network: BrosTrend_EXT.
- Open a web browser and access http://brostrendwifi.com or 192.168.0.254.
- Create a login password for future logins.
- Select AP Mode and proceed.
- Connect to the Internet:
- Connect the access point to an Internet-enabled Ethernet port of your router using an Ethernet cable.
- Once connected, the setup is completed.
Extender Mode:
To set up in Extender Mode, follow similar steps as above but choose Extender
Mode during the setup process and configure settings accordingly based on your
scenario.

In AP Mode

Solid Blue:
Set up successfully and working normally. -
Solid Red:
Starting up. Please do NOT power off the device during the process, otherwise the device may be damaged. -
Blinking Red Slowly:
- Set up successfully, while not connected to the Internet, please connect the access point to an Internet-enabled Ethernet port or LAN port of your router with an Ethernet cable.
- The setup failed. Please refer to Working Mode 1 to set up again.
In Extender Mode

Solid Blue:
Receiving a strong signal from your router. -
Solid Yellow:
Receiving a good signal from your router. -
Solid Red:
Receiving a weak signal from your router. Please relocate it closer to your router for better performance. -
Blinking Red Slowly:
Powered on, while fails to receive any signal from your router. Please relocate it closer to your router or set it up again. -
Blinking Blue Fast:
Pairing with your existing router via the WPS method. Please wait until the pairing completes.
Working Mode
Set up as a Wireless Access Point
We here set up on a mobile phone as an example. Actual setup steps on a desktop or tablet could be slightly different.

Power on
Plug the access point into a power outlet. Wait until the LED indicator blinks red slowly. -
Create Your Wireless Access Point Network

Connect your WiFi device (e.g., mobile phone, computer, or tablet) to the default WiFi network of this access point: BrosTrend_EXT.

Open a web browser, and type http://brostrendwifi.com or 192.168.0.254 in the address bar to access the web UI.

Create a login password for future logins (recommended). Then click Next.

Select AP Mode and click Next.

Customize the WiFi names and WiFi passwords, and click Save. Then wait about 1 minute until the LED blinks red slowly.

Connect to the Internet
Connect the access point to an Internet-enabled Ethernet port or LAN port of your router with an Ethernet cable. Setup completed!- The LED indicator lighting solid blue indicates a successful Internet connection.
- Otherwise, please refer to Q4 in the FAQ to reset this access point and try again.

Tips for Optimal Signal Quality
- Choose a location with fewer obstacles that may weaken the signal between the access point and your WiFi devices. A spacious location is ideal.
- Keep the access point away from working electrical appliances that may interfere with the WiFi signal such as microwave ovens, induction cookers, refrigerators, etc.
Set up as a WiFi Extender
We here set up on a mobile phone as an example. Actual setup steps on a desktop or tablet could be slightly different.

Power on
Plug this extender into a power outlet in the same room as your existing WiFi router. Wait until the LED indicator blinks red slowly. -
Connect to Your Existing WiFi Network
Method 1: Set up via Web Management Interface -
Connect your WiFi device to (e.g., mobile phone, computer, or tablet) the default WiFi network of this extender: BrosTrend_EXT.

Open a web browser, and type http://brostrendwifi.com or 192.168.0.254 in the address bar to access the web UI.

If the web UI is inaccessible, please refer to Q1 in the FAQ.

Create a login password for future logins (recommended). Then click Next.

Select Extender Mode/WiFi to Ethernet Adapter Mode and click Next.

Choose the WiFi network(s) you want to extend, enter the correct WiFi password(s), and then click OK.

Customize your extended WiFi names (SSID) and passwords, then click Extend.

Check if the extender connects to your WiFi network successfully according to the status of the LED indicator.
Method 2: Set up via the WPS button
This method is applicable if your router has a WPS button. Otherwise, use Method 1. -
Plug the extender into a power outlet in the same room as your existing router. Wait until the LED indicator blinks red.

Press the WPS button on your router.

Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the extender, and the LED indicator on the extender will start to blink blue fast.

Wait until the LED indicator turns solid, which indicates a successful connection with your router.
When the WPS pairing finishes, for network security, please connect your wireless device to the newly extended WiFi and visit http://brostrendwifi.com on a browser to set up a web UI login password. Otherwise, the Web UI will be accessible to any devices connected to the extended WiFi.
* **Extended WiFi Names:**
Your existing router’s network name with the suffix _EXT or _5GEXT
* **Passwords:**
The same as your existing router’s WiFi passwords.
- Relocate
Plug the extender into an electrical outlet halfway between your WiFi router and the WiFi dead zone.

FAQ

Q1: I cannot log into the Web UI of the access point. What should I do?
A1: Please try the following methods:- For initial setup, make sure your wireless device (e.g., smartphone) is connected to the access point’s default network, BrosTrend_EXT, and disable Mobile Data if enabled. If BrosTrend_EXT does not appear in the WiFi list, please refer to Q4 to reset the access point to its factory default settings and then set it up again.
- If the access point has been set up successfully, make sure your wireless device is connected to the access point’s newly created network before logging into the web UI.
- Verify that http://brostrendwifi.com is correctly entered in your browser’s address bar (NOT in the search box).
- Clear your browser cache and try again.
- If you are setting up using a wired device (e.g., a computer), make sure that your computer is set to Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.

Q2: What should I do if I forget my web UI login password?
A2: Please refer to Q4 to reset the access point first. Then connect to the default WiFi network BrosTrend_EXT and visit http://brostrendwifi.com on a web browser to create a new web UI login password. This time, it is recommended to note down your login password for future logins. -
Q3: What should I do if I forget the WiFi passwords?
A3: Please refer to Q4 to reset this access point first. Then, refer to the instructions in Working Mode 1 or Working Mode 2 to set up this access point again and create your new passwords. This time, it is recommended to note down your WiFi passwords. -
Q4: How to reset the access point to its factory default settings?
A4: Plug the access point into a power outlet and wait for 1 minute until it fully powers on, then press the RESET button on the right side of the access point using a needle-like object. The LED indicator will blink fast in yellow at first, then after 1 minute, it will blink slowly in red, indicating a successful reset.
