Product Usage Instructions
Mounting the Scanner
- Push the LED-end of the scanner into the plastic slot on the Slim Mount.
- Press the front end of the scanner into the slot firmly until the tabs close around the scanner’s tab notches.
- The scanner is now ready for use.
Removing the Scanner
- Stabilize the mount with your thumb and middle finger.
- Using your index finger, pull up on the front end of the scanner until it disengages from the mount.
- Ensure the mount does not lift off your hand when removing the scanner to prevent premature wear of the elastic material.
- Lift the rest of the scanner out of the mount.
Cleaning Instructions
To clean the Slim Mount:
- Remove the scanner from the Slim Mount.
- Use an approved cleaning agent or mild detergent on the fabric. Keep the fabric around the trigger dry.

Introduction
The Slim Mount allows you to wear the RS2100 on the back of your hand and provides a remote finger trigger. The Slim Mount is a one-size-fits-all design for left and right-handed users. A green L on the scanner slot label indicates the left-handed Slim Mount configuration.

Mounting the Scanner
Mount the scanner onto the Slim Mount.
- Push the LED-end of the scanner into the plastic slot.
- Press the front end of the scanner into the slot. Push down firmly until the tabs close around the scanner’s tab notches.
Removing the Scanner
Remove the RS2100 from the Slim Mount to charge the scanner or clean the
Slim Mount.

CAUTION: Ensure the mount does not lift up off of your hand when pulling up on the scanner. This protects the elastic material from wearing out prematurely. -

Cleaning Instructions
Use cleaners with approved ingredients to clean the Slim Mount.
CAUTION: Always wear eye protection. Read warning labels on compressed
air and alcohol products before using. If you have to use any other solution
for medical reasons, contact Zebra for more information.
NOTE: Avoid exposing this product to contact with hot oil or other
flammable liquids. If such exposure occurs, clean the product immediately per
these guidelines.
Approved Cleanser Active Ingredients
100% of the active ingredients in any cleaner must consist of one or some
combination of the following:
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Mild dish soap

The following chemicals are known to damage the plastics on the device and
should not come in contact with it:
- Ammonia solutions
- Compaounds of amines or ammonia
- Acetone
- Ketones

- Aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons

Cleaning the Slim Mount
To clean the Slim Mount:
- Remove the scanner from the Slim Mount.
- Use an approved cleaning agent or mild detergent on the fabric. Keep the fabric around the trigger dry.
- Air dry the fabric.

- Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove debris from the trigger contacts inside the plastic scanner mount.
CAUTION: Cleaning cloth may damage the trigger contacts.
