The following safety precautions should always be followed, to reduce the risk of electric shock, personal injury, or fire. It is important to read all of these instructions carefully before using the product and to save them for future reference or new users.
- This product must only be used as intended by the enclosed operating instructions.
- Do not carry the appliance by the mains cable or pull the cable to remove the plug from the socket.
- If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
- If the appliance stops unexpectedly or appears to malfunction, switch off the power supply, unplug from the mains, and stop using it immediately. Seek professional advice to rectify the fault or make repairs.
- Switch off the power supply and unplug from the mains socket when not in use, before cleaning or changing accessories.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR LIGHTING:
- DO NOT REMOVE THE BOTTLE CAP FROM THE GLASS GLOBE. Do not remove the cap on the globe or add anything to the globe. The air space at the top of the globe is necessary to allow for the expansion of contents. Breaking the seal on the globe shall void the warranty.
- Remove all excess packaging before assembling.
- Check and see if the lampholder in the lava lamp base is centered. The socket may have moved during shipping. If this has occurred, then gently use your fingers to re-center it.
- Only use the provided bulb. Variances in bulb size or wattage will produce unsatisfactory operation, fire, or possible breakage of the globe.
- Run the lamp on a clean and flat surface, away from heated surfaces and direct sunlight. Direct sunlight may cause colors to fade.
- Allow the lamps to warm up for 2 hours to 3 hours to ensure they perform at their optimal level. Note: All lava lamps have a coil at the bottom of the globe. This is to accelerate the healing process.
- Suggest not to continuously operate for more than 10 hours.
- Exercise caution when handling the lamp while it is plugged in. The lamp will take 2 to 3 hours to cool after it has been turned off.
- To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove the plug from the outlet.
- Do not place the lamp near sources of heat or cold, such as a heater or air conditioner. The lamp operates best at 20-25 º C room temperature.
- Handle the product with care; the glass globe may break if subjected to any form of sudden impact. If it becomes necessary to clean up broken glass first unplug the unit and then use care and safety precautions. (Refer to Clean-Up Instructions below for details.)
- Do not use any other means to heat the motion lamp besides the bulb provided nor attempt to cool it down artificially.
- Do not shake the lamp while the product is warm. The lamp will become cloudy and unable to repair.
- Do not operate the lamp on glass surfaces, where aerosol spray is being used, or where oxygen is being administered.
- If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
CLEAN-UP INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCIDENTAL BREAKAGE:
If the globe breaks, it is not harmful if it is handled properly. KMART PTY
LTD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY PRODUCT BREAKAGE.:
- Wear rubber gloves during the clean-up process to protect against skin irritation and to prevent cuts from broken glass.
- Carefully pick up and dispose of broken glass and plastic pieces.
- Use disposable towels to soak up excess liquid (you can use water to aid in cleanup because the liquid is water soluble).
- Thoroughly clean any products soiled by the liquid.
- After the liquid has been cleaned up, a commercial cleaning detergent may be used to deep clean the area. Prompt clean-up is key.
- For carpet, blot up spilled material with an absorbent disposable cloth. Follow cleaning directions from your carpet manufacturer.
- For floors, wipe up with a disposable cloth and clean with normal floor cleaning detergent.
BULB REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
Before attempting to change the light bulb, please follow the below
instructions carefully:
- Turn off and unplug the lamp from the outlet.
- Please wait at least one hour, then remove the glass globe from the base. Set aside in a safe location.
- Please wait at least one hour for the bulb to cool down before replacing it. Do not attempt to remove the light bulb while hot.
- Once the light bulb is cool to the touch, carefully unscrew it from the base and discard it safely.
- Replace with the new light bulb by screwing into the base socket. Please see the specifications below for the correct bulb wattage.
- Replace the glass globe, plug it into the outlet, and turn your lamp on.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
- Caution: Assemble the lamp completely before connecting to the electricity supply.
- Remove all excess packaging before installation.
- Install the bulb – 30W R39 E14 Small Edison Screw (provided) into the lampholder.
- Put the glass bottle on the base as instructed.
- Cover the metal cap on the bottle.
- Check to ensure that all the components have been assembled correctly.
- Connect to the mains supply.
ADDENDEM:
WHEN USED FOR THE FIRST TIME, THE COLOUR OF THE WAX MAY BE CLEAR. IT WILL BE
TURNED TO A SOLID COLOUR AFTER REPEAT USE.

Wax does not melt or cannot melt well.| Temperature is low.| Check whether the
bulb wattage is correct or not. This lamp requires a 30W R39 incandescent
bulb. Other bulbs may produce unsatisfactory operation.
Ensure the room temperature should be 20-25 ℃. Low room temperature may cause
the product unsatisfactory operation. The best operation temperature is 21℃.
Allow the lamps to warm up for 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours to ensure they
perform at their optimal level.
Check if a fan or air conditioner is working around the product. Air flow may
cause the product heat loss too quickly which causes the product not good
perform.
The wax floats too much in the water and does not come down| The temperature
is too high| Ensure the room temperature should be 20-25 ℃. High room
temperature will cause the wax not to come down because the wax is too hot.
The density of the wax in hot is lower than the water.
Many bubbles in the wax when the operation| Wax had been stirred before
filling in the bottle. The air entered in the wax when stirring.| After
several times operations, the bubble will disappear.
CAUTION: DO NOT SHAKE THE BOTTLE WHILE THE PRODUCT IS WARM. WAX WILL BECOME
CLOUDY AND UNABLE TO REPAIR.
