SONG LYRICS

SONG 1: THE PERFECT GROOVE

I’m looking for the perfect groove To make my day Looking for the perfect beat To sit right down and play

The beat is bumping The music is pumping The bass is thumping Just the way we like it

Looking for the perfect groove Don’t need to be hasty Gonna take my time And find the one that’s really tasty

Looking for the perfect groove To make my day Looking for the perfect beat To sit down and play

Gotta be a beat that Makes me feel so good Following the rhythm Like I know I would

Looking for the perfect groove To make my day I’m searching for that perfect beat To sit right down and play

It’s gotta be a beat That fits my mood The kind of beat With a funky groove

The beat is bumping The music is pumping The bass is thumping Just the way we like it

18

SONG 2 : YOU DO YOU
You look into the mirror Who do you see An individual With unique abilities
Like a ray of sunshine Breaking through the clouds Like a snowflake falling Softly to the ground
Every thought, every movement Is part of who you are Follow the beat of your heart It’s gonna take you far
You do you Do the things you gotta do You do you Be who you are
You do you Be the best that you can You do you Be a shining star
Shining star
19

SONG 3: THAT’S THE WAY TO PLAY

The music is rocking Time to add the beat Gotta set the groove And make it complete
Let’s have some fun And play along To keep the rhythm Of our song
Pound it out On the 2 and the 4 The backbeat’s driving The kick on the floor

1, 2, 3, 4 Keep it going 5, 6, 7, 8 The groove is flowing 1, 2, 3, 4 What do you say 5, 6, 7, 8 That’s the way to play, hey
That’s the way to play

Lay down the beat Strong and steady Come on and pick up your sticks Are you ready?

1, 2, 3, 4 Keep it going 5, 6, 7, 8 The groove is flowing 1, 2, 3, 4 What do you say 5, 6, 7, 8 That’s the way to play, hey

SONG 4: DANCE TO THE BEAT

The lights are flashing On the dance floor The drums are banging In my head
The party’s starting And the beat is dropping I’m thinking about What you said

Dance to the beat The drums are hitting Move your feet
Dance to the beat It’s time to party Got friends to meet
Dance to the beat

Go with the flow Follow the rhythm Let the groove become Part of you
