USING INSTRUCTIONS

USING YOUR PIZZA MAKER FOR THE FIRST TIME
Carefully unpack the Pizza Maker and remove any packaging. Check to make sure that all parts are included (see Product Overview) and check whether the product or individual parts are damaged. If this is the case, do not use the product. Ensure to read all instructions carefully and keep them for future use.

Cooking on the Pizza Stone
Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, flat, and heat-resistant surface.

IMPORTANT!
To prevent heat damage, place the appliance on a heat-resistant surface only. Not recommended to use directly on laminated/Vinyl bench tops or any surfaces sensitive to heat. Placing the pizza maker on an insulated heat pad is recommended.

CAUTION!
The pizza baking stone and handles will be extremely hot. Ensure to use heat- proof oven mitts to protect your hands when lifting the lid. DO NOT touch the baking stone while it is warm or hot.

  • Ensure that the Timer dial is in the “OFF” position and check the inside of the pizza maker to ensure that there is nothing on the baking stone.
  • Connect the supply cord plug into a mains power outlet socket.
  • Pre-heating the pizza maker before use will allow better baking results. Turn the Temperature dial to the maximum heat setting and Timer dial to 10 minutes. Both indicators will illuminate indicating that the pizza maker is pre-heating.
  • While the pizza maker is pre-heating, prepare your pizza.

NOTE:
It is not recommended to top your pizza too heavily or densely as this will affect the cooking process. The toppings should always be below the height of the top heating element to avoid burning.

  • Once the pizza maker is preheated carefully lift the lid and slide your pizza onto the heated stone.

  • Close the lid of the pizza maker and leave the Temperature dial at maximum setting. Most pizzas will bake in approximately 4-5 minutes.
NOTE: Cooking time depends on the thickness of the pizza crust and/or topping. Ensure to monitor the cooking process, avoid topping rise, and touch the heating element during cooking.

  • View through the window or carefully open the lid, to check the pizza status. If your pizza is ready, carefully remove it from the baking stone, if it requires a longer cooking time, gently and carefully close the lid and allow the cooking process to continue.

  • If pizza is cooking unevenly, using pizza peels, insert them under the pizza dough and gently rotate it. If large air bubbles are found in the dough, it is recommended to use a fork to prick and flatten the bubbles before closing the lid.

  • If you are cooking with a frozen pizza base, allow the dough to thaw before cooking. Once thawed, slide the pizza directly onto the preheated baking stone.
NOTE: Do not attempt to bake a sticky dough on the baking stone. If the dough is sticky, flour the stone before placing the dough directly on the stone.

  • When cooking is done, turn both dials to the OFF position.

  • Unplug the Pizza Maker.

  • Open the lid, use the pizza peels to pick up the pizza off the stone, and reserve it on a plate or cutting board.

  • Let the pizza cool slightly and use a pizza cutter to cut pizza into slices. Never cut pizza directly on the pizza baking stone as that will cause damage.

CAUTION
Extreme caution is needed when opening the lid as built-up steam may be quickly released. Heat-resistant gloves or oven mitts are recommended when opening the pizza maker to ensure safety.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

NOTICE
Improper handling of the product may result in damage.

  • NOTE: Ensure that the product is disconnected from the power outlet and cooled before cleaning.
  • IMPORTANT: Never submerge the pizza stone into water. This can permanently damage or crack the pizza stone. Do not use any soap or detergent on the stone.
    • Make sure that no water or other liquids penetrate the housing.
    • Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
    • Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as knives, hard scrapers, and the like as they may damage the appliance.

Cleaning and care of the baking stone

  • To maintain the longevity of the baking stone, it is recommended to complete routine cleaning. Make sure the stone is completely cool before handling. For stuck-on food, gently scrape it off. Store the baking stone in the oven when not in use.
  • Never submerge the baking stone in water. This can permanently damage or crack the baking stone.
  • Never use oil or detergent directly on the baking stone: the baking stone is porous and will absorb the detergents.
  • Never use a knife or pizza cutter on the stone as this could damage the stone. Remove the pizza from the stone before cutting.
  • Avoid extreme temperature changes to the stone. (i.e., from Hot to Cold)
  • The stone is fragile and can break if bumped or dropped.
  • The stone is very hot during use and stays hot for a long time after use.
  • Do not cool the stone with water or use it when damp
  • To clean off burned food marks, wait until the stone is cool, use two hands to carefully take it out of the oven, and remove any loose or large debris.

NOTE:
The structure of the stone is porous and stains will remain after use even after cleaning, this is normal. This will not affect the performance of the stone.

IMPORTANT:
Never submerge the pizza stone into water. This can permanently damage or crack the pizza stone. Do not use any soap or detergent on the stone.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM

| POSSIBLE CAUSE|

SOLUTION

---|---|---

The top of the pizza is burnt.

| The temperature has been set too high.| If you feel that the top is cooking faster than the bottom, when you check the pizza, turn the temperature dial to the middle and let the pizza continue cooking without the thermostat light on.

Alternatively, leave the lid open for a few minutes so that you can watch the pizza as it bakes.

The bottom of the pizza is burnt.| The temperature has been set too high.| Make sure that the pizza maker is preheated to Maximum setting. When the light goes out, let the stone rest for a few minutes before putting the pizza in. If you are cooking several pizzas in succession, it is best to leave the lid open for a few minutes between the cooking and then return the temperature dial to a lower setting.
A pizza stone is dirty| Humidity on the stone/bench.| Don’t worry if the pizza stone has marks, this may enhance the flavor of the pizza. Scrape off the excess food with a scraper or a stiff-bristled brush and wipe it off with a paper towel or clean tea towel.
The READY indicator light goes ON and OFF.| This is an automatic thermostat light.| The lights stay on until the oven has reached the desired temperature setting.
