INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Hooray Drum Set. Play the Hooray Drum Set,
just like in the show! Play along to 16 Bluey melodies and sung songs, choose
different drum sounds and hear character sounds. With three modes of play, fun
sound effects and light-up musical play, there’s endless music fun!

WARNING:
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable
tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and
should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE:
Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.
**Unlock the Packaging Locks
**
- Rotate the packaging locks 90 degrees counterclockwise.
- Pull out the packaging locks and discard.
GETTING STARTED
WARNING:
Adult assembly required for battery installation.
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Battery Removal and Installation
- Make sure the unit is turned Off.
- Find the battery cover located on the bottom of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
- Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
- Install 3 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.).
- Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
- Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from the toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Note
If the unit repeatedly powers down while playing or the light fades out, we
suggest changing the batteries.
INSTRUCTIONS

Unfold the stand at the back.

Place the drum sticks back into the holder when not used.
PRODUCT FEATURES

Power Switch & Volume Control
To turn the unit On, slide the switch to the LOW VOLUME or HIGH VOLUME position. To turn the unit Off, slide the switch to the Off position .

Mode Selector
Move the Mode Selector to choose from 3 modes.

Drum Sounds Button
Press the Drum Sounds Button to select different sets of sounds to play when you hit the drum pads.

Drum Fills Button
Press the Drum Fills Button to add short drum rhythms.

Drum Solo Button
Press the Drum Solo Button to mute the backing melody in mode 1. Press again to mute the melody

Music Buttons
Press the 3 Music Buttons to play a backing melody in 3 different styles of electronic, country and pop. Press each button repeatedly to choose among 3 melodies in mode 1.

Gluey Button
Press the Gluey Button to listen to theme music in mode 1. Press this button to listen to Bluet’s voice in mode 2 and mode 3.

Light Up Drum Pads
Hit the Drum Pads to play drum sounds or other fun sound effects.
Refer to 3. Drum Sounds Button above about how to choose different drum sounds.

AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, VTech® Hooray Drum Set will automatically turn off after approximately 90 seconds without input. VTech® Hooray Drum Set can be woken up again by switching ON again in Power Switch, change mode or pressing the Music Buttons , Drum Solo Button , Drum Fills Button or Drum Sounds Button .
VTech® Hooray Drum Set will also automatically turn OFF when the battery power is very low.
NOTE : If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please install a new set of batteries.
MODES
-
Play
Hit the Drum Pads however you’d like to play along to the song and add drum sounds. Press the Drum Sounds Button to change the drum sound effect that plays when you hit the pads. Press one of the Music buttons to play or change the background music. Press the Drum Solo Button to mute and unmute the backing melody. Press the Drum Fills Button to add a drum rhythm. Press the Bluey Button to give Bluey theme music. -
Follow
This is a memory game. Watch the pattern of lights as they appear on the Drum Pads. Then try to repeat the same pattern. See if you can follow the pattern while also keeping the rhythm. -
Sing
Songs and melodies will be played alternatively. When Bluey asks how many flying saucers or green bottles you are thinking of, hit the Drum Pads 1 to 10 times as you like. Then Bingo and Bluey will sing the song with the number you hit.
When playing a song or a melody, press the Bluey Button to listen to Bluey’s voice, or play with the Drum Pads, Drum Sounds Button and Drum Fills Button to add drum sounds to the music.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
- Turn the unit Off.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
- If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
