anko DIY Mosaic Mirror Kit

Kit Includes

• 1 x MDF base, dia 25cm
• 1 x round mirror, dia 15cm
• 1 x bag of glass tiles
• 1 x grout
• 1 x glue
• 1 x mixing bowl
• 1 x scraper
• 1 x sponge
• 1 x wooden stick
• 1 x instruction sheet

Tips

• Clean the MDF base & tiles with a damp cloth before beginning.
• Cover the work area with disposable paper or mat.
• Keep the gaps between tiles approximately 3mm or less.
• Ensure the grout is completely dry before using the mirror.

How To Make A Mosaic Mirror

1. Place the tiles and mirror on the MDF base in your desired pattern, leaving small gaps between the tiles.
2. Glue the mirror and tiles onto the base and allow approx. 30 minutes for the glue to dry.
3. Pour the grout into the mixing bawl. Gradually add water while stirring until it forms a paste texture. 1 bog of grout requires approx. 30ml of water.
4. Using the scraper, apply the grout to cover the tiles completely. Spread the grout to fill all of the gaps. Scrape off excess grout from the top of the tiles.
5. Wet the sponge in warm water and clean the tiles until they are clear of grout, leaving the grout only in the gaps. Allow approx. 5 hours for the grout to dry.
6. Clean off any remaining grout, then peel off the protective sticker from mirror to complete the mosaic mirror for use.
