THE VARIOUS FUNCTION AND POSSIBILITIES
Information about New Generation Cooling Technology
Fridges with new generation cooling technology have a different working system
than static fridges. Other fridges may experience ice build up in the freezer
compartment due to door openings and humidity in the food. In such fridges
regular defrosting is required; the fridge has to be periodically turned off,
the frozen food moved to a suitable container and the ice which has formed in
the freezer compartment removed.
In fridges with new generation cooling technology, dry cold air is pumped
evenly into the fridge and freezer compartments using a fan. The cold air
cools your food evenly and uniformly, preventing humidity and ice build up.
In the refrigerator compartment, air blown by the fan located at the top of
refrigerator compartment is cooled while passing through the gap behind the
air duct. At the same time, the air is blown out through the holes in the air
duct evenly spreading cool air throughout the refrigerator compartment.
As there is no air passage between the freezer and refrigerator compartments
there will be no odor mixing.
As a result of this, your fridge with new generation cooling technology gives
you ease of use as well as huge volume and aesthetic appearance.

Warnings about Temperature Adjustments
- Temperature adjustments should be made according to the frequency of door openings and the quantity of food kept inside the fridge.
- This fridge is designed to work in all ambient temperature. In the ambient temperatures colder than -5 oC, preserving food in the refrigerator compartment isn’t suggested because the foods that you put into refrigerator compartment, will have a temperature close to ambient temperature. Consequently, they will freeze. You can keep your foods until -5 oC in refrigerator compartments. With the aid of special algorithm that is designed by engineers, foods can be preserved in the freezer compartment, colder than -5 oC ambient temperature.
- Your fridge should be operated up to 24 hours according to the ambient temperature without interruption after being plugged in to be completely cooled. Do not open doors of your fridge frequently and do not place much food inside it in this period.
- If the unit is switched off or unplugged, you must allow at least 5 minutes before restarting or re-plugged the unit in order not to damage the compressor.
- Your fridge is designed to operate in the ambient temperature intervals stated in the standards, according to the climate class stated in the information label. We do not recommend operating your fridge out of stated temperatures value limits in terms of cooling effectiveness.

Chiller Shelf (In some models)
Keeping food in the Chiller compartment instead of the freezer or refrigerator
compartment allows food retain freshness and flavour longer, while preserving
its fresh appearance. When chiller tray becomes dirty, remove it and wash it
with water.
(Water freezes at 0°C, but foods containing salt or sugar freeze at
temperature lower than that)
Normally people use the chiller compartment for raw fish, lightly pickled,
rice, etc…
Do not put foods you want to freeze or ice trays in order to make ice.
Removing the Chiller shelf
- Pull the chiller shelf out toward you by sliding on rails.
- Pull the chiller shelf up from rail to remove.
Humidity Control
When the Humidity Control in the closed position, it allows fresh fruit and
vegetables to be stored longer.
In case of the crisper is totally full, the Humidity Control is located in
front of crisper, should be opened. By means of this the air in the crisper
and humidity rate will be controlled and endurance life will be increased.
If you see any condensation on glass shelf, Humidity Control should be taken
into the open positions.
Adjustable door shelf (In some models)
Five different height adjustments can be made to provide storage areas that
you need by adjustable door shelf.
To change the position of adjustable door shelf;
Lift up front of the shelf (1) and move up or down adjustable door shelf (2)
with both hands(Fig 1) Before releasing the door shelf make sure the door
shelf is located at door positions.
Active Oxygen (In some models)
Active Oxygen spreads negative ions which neutralize particles of unpleasant
smell and dust in the air, improving freshness of food. By removing these
particles from the air in the refrigerator, Active Oxygen improves air quality
and eliminates odours.
- This feature is optional. It may not exist on your product.
- The location of your ioniser device may vary from product to product.
Active Fresh Filter (In some models)
Active Fresh Filter technology helps to remove ethylene gas (a bioproduct
released naturally from fresh foods) and unpleasant odors from the crisper. In
this way, food stays fresh for a longer time.
- Active Fresh Filter must be cleaned once in a year. The filter should be waited for 2 hours at 65°C in a oven.
- To clean the filter, please remove the back cover of the filter box by pulling it in the direction of the arrow (A).
- The filter should not be washed with water or any detergent.
Visual and text descriptions on the accessories section may vary according to the model of your appliance.
Putting food in the coldest area of the refrigerator
Your foods will be better stored if you put them in the
most appropriate cooling area. The coldest area is just above the crisper.
To be sure to have a low temperature in this area, make sure the shelf is
located at the level of this symbol, as shown in the illustration.
Temperature indicator (In some models)
In order to help you better set your refrigerator, we have equipped it with a
temperature indicator located in the coldest area.
You can easily check that the temperature of the coldest area is appropriate:
when the indicator shows “OK”, it means the thermostat is set properly and the
inside temperature is correct.
Since “OK” appears in black, it will be difficult to see this indication if
the temperature indicator is badly lit. To be able to see this indication
properly, there should be enough light.
If the “OK” symbol does not appear, it means that the temperature is too high:
you will then have to modify the thermostat setting, and wait 12 hours before
visually checking the temperature again.
NOTE: Following repeated openings (or prolonged opening) of the door or
after putting fresh food into the appliance, it is normal for the indication
“OK” not to appear in the temperature setting indicator. If there is an
abnormal ice crystals build up (bottom wall of the appliance) on the
refrigerator compartment evaporator (overloaded appliance, high room
temperature, frequent door openings), put the temperature setting device on a
lower position until compressor off periods are obtained again.
The upper limit of the coldest area is indicated by the lower side of the
sticker (head of the arrow). The coldest area upper shelf must be at the same
level with the arrow head. The coldest area is below this level.
As these shelves are removable, make sure they are always at the same level
with these zone limits described on the stickers, in order to guarantee
temperatures in this area.
Each type of food has an ideal conservation temperature and consequently a
particular location to follow.
Locations | Products |
---|---|
Upper shelves | Cooked foods, desserts and all foods to be eaten fast enough |
Coldest area | Meat, poultry, game and raw fish Maximum conservation time : 1 |
to 2 days. Fresh fruits, cooked pork meat.
Crisper| Fresh vegetables and fruits.
Door-liner| Door trays shall contain bottles at the bottom side and, in their
upper parts, low volume and currently used products like yoghurt, fresh cream,
etc.
Butter, cooked cheese and eggs shall be introduced in appropriate holders.
ARRANGING FOOD IN THE APPLIANCE
It will be enough to set the thermostat between “2-4”, for fridge to work in normal working conditions.
Refrigerator compartment
- To reduce humidity and consequent increase of frost never place liquids in unsealed containers in the refrigerator.
- Never place warm food in the refrigerator. Warm food should be allowed to cool at room temperature and arranged to ensure adequate air circulation in the refrigerator compartment.
- Arrange meat and cleaned fish (wrapped in packages or sheets of plastic) and use them within 1-2 days.
- You can put the fruits and vegetables into the crisper without any packaging.
Important note:
- Cover any cooked dishes when you put them in the fridge. Place them in the fridge when they are cool, otherwise temperature/humidity inside the fridge increases which causes the fridge to work harder. Covering food and beverages also preserves their flavour and aroma.
- Potatoes, onion and garlic should not be kept in the fridge.
- Make sure food does not touch the temperature sensor which is located in the refrigerator compartment. To keep an optimum temperature in the refrigerator compartment, make sure food doesn’t make contact with the sensor.
Freezer compartment
- The freezer compartment is used for freezing fresh food, for storing frozen foods for the period of time indicated on packaging and for making ice cubes.
- Do not put fresh and warm foods in the freezer door shelves to be frozen. Only use the door shelves for storing frozen foods.
- Do not put fresh and warm food next to frozen food as it can thaw the frozen food.
- Use the fast freezing shelf to freeze home cooking (and any other food which needs to be frozen quickly) more quickly because of the freezing shelf’s greater freezing power.
- While freezing fresh foods (i.e. meat, fish and mincemeat) divide them in portions you will use in a single serving. While freezing fresh foods, the maximum amount of fresh food (in kg) that can be frozen in 24 hours is indicated on the appliance label.
- For optimum appliance performance to reach maximum freezing capacity, turn the thermostat knob to the coldest setting 24 hours before placing fresh food into the freezer.
- After placing fresh food into the freezer, having the thermostat knob set to the coldest setting for 24 hours is generally sufficient. After 24 hours, you can reduce the thermostat knob setting if required.
- Attention. To save energy, if you are only freezing small amounts of food, you do not need to set the thermostat knob to the coldest setting.
- For storing frozen foods, the instructions shown on frozen food packages should always be followed carefully. If no information is provided, food should not be stored for more than 3 months from the purchased date.
- When buying frozen food ensure that these have been frozen at suitable temperatures and that the packing is intact.
- Frozen food should be transported in appropriate containers to maintain the quality of the food and should be returned to the freezing surfaces of the unit in the shortest possible time.
- If a package of frozen food shows the sign of humidity and abnormal swelling it is probable that it has been previously stored at an unsuitable temperature and that the contents have deteriorated.
- The storage life of frozen foods depends on the room temperature, thermostat setting, how often the door is opened, the type of food and the length of time required to transport the product from the shop to your home. Always follow the instructions printed on the packaging and never exceed the maximum storage life indicated.
In some models: while loading the freezing compartment, do not load above
the the loading lines otherwise the door may not close correctly.
If the freezer compartment door does not close correctly, excess ice may form
in the freezer compartment. To prevent the problem recurring, clear the ice
and make sure that the door is fully closed.
Also, not closing the freezer and/or fridge compartment doors would increase
your energy consumption.
If the lower shelf in the freezer door is removed and food is allowed to block
the air suction hole, this will reduce the effectiveness of the fridge.
Therefore, be careful while loading the freezer compartment and make sure not
to cover the air suction hole.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the fridge before starting to clean it.
- Do not wash your fridge by pouring water into it.
- Wipe the inner and outer sides with a soft cloth or a sponge using warm and soapy water.
- Remove the parts individually and clean with soapy water. Do not wash in a dishwasher.
- Never use flammable, explosive or corrosive material, such as thinner, gas or acid for cleaning. Some recommendations have been specified below for the placement and storage of your food in the cooling compartment.
Make sure that your fridge is unplugged while cleaning.
Replacing LED Lighting
If your refrigerator has LED lighting contact the help desk as this should be
changed by authorized personnel only.
(a), (b), (c): Fridge compartment LED strip lamps
Note: Numbers and location of led strips may be changed according to the
model.
TRANSPORTATION AND CHANGING OF INSTALLATION POSITION
- The original packaging and foam may be kept for re-transportation (optionally).
- You should fasten your fridge with thick packaging, bands or strong cords and follow the instructions for transportation on the package for re-transportation.
- Remove movable parts (shelves, accessories, vegetable bins etc.) or fix them into the fridge against shocks using bands during re-positioning and transportation.
Always carry your fridge in the upright position.
Repositioning the door
- It is not possible to change the opening direction of your fridge door, if the door handles on your fridge are installed from the front surface of the door.
- It is possible to change the opening direction of the door on models without any handles.
- If the door opening direction of your fridge can be changed, you should contact the nearest Authorised Service to have the opening direction changed.

enough| This caution will be seen especially after long term of power failure|
- Do not freeze the foods that are thaw and use in short time period.
- Set the freezer temperature to colder values or set the super freeze , until the compartment gets to normal temperature.
- Do not put fresh food until this failure is off.
SR – Set value Blink on cooler set value screen| “Refrigerator comp. Not Cold enough”| Ideal temperature for Ref. Compartment
is +4 oC. If you see this warning your foods have risk of spoiling.
|
- Set the refrigerator temperature to colder values or set the super cooling mode until the compartment gets to normal temperature.
- Do not open the door much until this failure is off.
SR – Set value blink on freezer and cooler set value screen| “not cold
enough Warning”| It is combination of “not cool enough” error for both of the
compartments.| You will see this failure when first starting the appliance. It
will be off after the compartments gets normal temperature
SR – Set value blink on cooler set value screen| Refrigerator comp. too
Cold| The foods starts to freeze because of the too much cold temperature|
- Check if the “Super cooling mode” is on
- Decrease the refrigerator temperature values
---|---|---|---
“–”| “Low voltage Warning”| When the power supply gets lower than 170 V the
appliance gets to steady position.| This is not a failure. This prevents any
damages on the compressor. This warning will off after the voltage gets
required level
What to do if your refrigerator does not operate:
Check that:
- Your fridge is plugged in and switched on,
- The fuse is not blown and there is not a power cut,
- The thermostat setting is in the on the “1” position,
- The socket is no longer functioning. To check this, plug in an appliance that you know is working into the same socket.
What to do if your refrigerator performs poorly:
Check that:
- You have not overloaded the appliance,
- The doors are fully closed ,
- There is no dust on the condenser,
- There is enough space for air circulation at the rear and side of the appliance.
If your fridge is operating too loudly:
Normal Noises
Cracking (Ice cracking) noise:
- During automatic defrosting.
- When the appliance is cooled or warmed (due to expansion of appliance material). Click noise: Heard when the thermostat switches the compressor on/off. Compressor noise:
- Normal motor noise: This noise means that the compressor is operating normally
- The compressor may cause more noise for a short time when it is first activated.
Bubbling noise and splash: This noise is caused by the flow of the refrigerant
in the tubes of the system.
Water flow noise: Normal flow noise of water flowing to the evaporation
container during defrosting. This noise can be heard during defrosting.
Air blow noise (Normal fan noise): This noise can be heard during the normal
operation of system due to the circulation of air.
If humidity builds up inside the fridge;
- Is all the food packed properly? Are all containers thoroughly dried before placing them in the fridge?
- Are the fridge doors opened frequently? Humidity of the room gets into the fridge each time the doors are opened. Humidity build up will be faster if you open the doors more frequently, especially if the humidity of the room is high.
- Build up of water drops on the rear wall after automatic defrosting is normal. (in Static Models)
If the doors are not opened and closed properly;
- Do the food packages prevent closing of the door?
- Are the door compartments, shelves and drawers placed properly?
- Are door gaskets broken or torn?
- Is your fridge on a level surface?
If the edges of fridge cabinet that the door joint contact are warm;
Especially in summer (hot weather), the surfaces that the joint contact may
get warmer during the operation of the compressor. This is normal.

Tips for saving energy
- Install the appliance in a cool, well ventilated room, but not in direct sunlight and not near heat source (radiator, cooker, etc…). Otherwise use an insulating plate.
- Allow warm food and drinks to cool down outside the appliance.
- When thawing frozen food, place it in the refrigerator compartment. The low temperature of the frozen food will help to cool the refrigerator compartment when it is thawing. So it reduces the energy requirements.
- When placing, drinks and liquids they must be covered. Otherwise humidity increases at the appliance. Therefore the working time gets longer. Also covering drinks and liquids helps preserve the smell and taste.
- When placing food and drinks, open the appliance door as briefly as possible.
- Keep the covers closed of any different temperature compartment in the appliance (crisper, chiller, etc…).
- Door gasket must be clean and pliable. Replace gaskets if worn.
