Please read these instructions carefully before using your kitchen scale. Keep the manual for any need for further reference.

  •  This kitchen scale is for home use only. Any other use (medical or commercial) is excluded.
  •  Always place the scale on a level, flat and stable. Do not place the balance on the edge of a table or work surface.
  •  The balance is a precision electronic weighing machine: use it with care. Do not try to disassemble and avoid heavy vibration and shocks.
  •  Do not push it, do not drop it, do not drop objects on the glass.
  •  Do not store objects on the appliance.
  •  Do not expose to direct sunlight. Keep it away from any heat and moisture.
  •  Children shall not play with children.
  •  Do not overload the balance (maximum capacity: 5 Kg).
  •  If the result is displayed incorrectly, check the batteries and contact points are touching well. Replace the batteries if the scale has not been used for a long time and then try again.
  •  Avoid using the kitchen scale in places where magnetic fields would interfere with the information transmitted by the scale.
  •  When you move the balance to a place with a temperature difference of more than 10 ° C, let it rest for at least two hours before the start.
  • Do not immerse in water or any other liquid or expose not to splash water.

To Insert or Replace Battery

  1. On the base of the scale, gently remove the battery cover.
  2. Insert 3XAAA batteries into the compartment observing the polarity marking in the base.
  3. After inserting the battery, replace the battery cover and push the cover backward.

Kind Notice:
Please be aware that the incorrect polarity will cause the permanent impact on the electronic parts.

Operation

Before use, place the scale on a solid, level surface. Gently touch the button to turn on the scale.  The scale LCD display will show its start routine of segment as it powers on. Wait until the “0” is shown on the display. Place the item to be weighed on the scale (or in the bowl if required). The LCD will show the weight reading. After weighing touch the button for three seconds to turn off the scales. Or leave the scale and it will automatically power off within about 2 minutes.
Unit Conversion:
The scale is with unit systems of Metric (g, ml) and Imperial (lb:oz, fl’oz), users can select units from g to lb:oz or ml to fl’oz. While the scale is on, select the required unit by repeatedly touching the button until the desired unit  is shown, g/lb:oz or ml/fl’oz.
Tare function
The tare Function allows you to weigh another item consecutively after weighing the first item without removing it from the scale. Gently touch the button to turn on the scale.  The scale LCD display will show its routine of segment as it powers on. Wait until the “o” is shown on the display. Put the container on the scale platform. The LCD display will show the steady weight of the container. Livoo DOM351 Kitchen Digital Scale 21Add the ingredients into the container. The LCD will show the weight of the ingredients only. Repeat touching the button to weight new different ingredients.
Negative Value The display will show a negative value (see LCD functions) if a weight has been removed from the scale. Please touch the button to clear the negative value, the display will show “0” again.
Error Indication The “Lo” symbol on the display indicates that the battery power is running low. Please replace new battery;
The “Err” symbol on the display indicates that the scale is over-loaded. Please stop using to avoid possible damage to the product.

Cleaning and Maintenance of the Scale

  •  Place the scale on a solid level surface before use.
  • Avoid hitting or dropping the scale otherwise damage may occur.
  •  Do not overload the scale or put heavy things on the scale when not use.
  • Treat the scale with care as it is a highly precise electronic instrument.
  •  Do not immerse this product in water or any other liquid. Please keep dry surface.
  •  Clean the scale with a soft damp cloth, do not use chemicals or harsh abrasives.

Battery Advice
If the scale is not to be used for long periods, it’s recommended to remove the battery to avoid damage to the scale due to possible battery leakage.

  • Keep the battery out of each of children.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries, with different compositions or of different brands in order to prevent possible leakage, explosion.
  •  Do not heat or deform the batteries or explore to fire.
  • Waste batteries should not disposed of with household waste.
  •  Please check with your local authority for battery recycling advice.

Do not dispose of batteries with household waste. To preserve the environment, dispose of batteries according to regulations. Post them in the nearest battery container or bring them into your store. Do not recharge the batteries, do not disassemble, do not throw them into the fire. Do not expose to high temperatures or direct sunlight. Do not incinerate.
Correct disposal of the unit

The European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal household waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The symbol of the crossed out dustbin is marked on all products to remind the obligations of separate collection. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their product.
