READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTALLATION AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED IN THE GUIDE
AND SUPPORT ARTICLES. REGULARLY INSPECT THE CAMERA, BOLTS, NUTS, SCREWS, THE
MOUNT, AND MECHANICAL COMPONENTS TO ENSURE THEY ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER AND
REMAIN PROPERLY AFFIXED TO THE VEHICLE.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURING THE MOUNT AND CAMERA TO YOUR VEHICLE,
CHECKING THE HARDWARE PRIOR TO USE, AND PERIODICALLY INSPECTING THE PRODUCTS
FOR ADJUSTMENT, WEAR, AND DAMAGE.
IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS AND CAUTIONS, OR IF YOU HAVE
NO MECHANICAL EXPERIENCE AND ARE NOT THOROUGHLY FAMILIAR WITH THE INSTALLATION
PROCEDURES, YOU SHOULD HAVE THE PRODUCT INSTALLED BY A PROFESSIONAL INSTALLER.
Introduction
Motive AI Omnicam is the first LTE-built side/rearview camera introduced to capture 360-degree footage of vehicles. It’s an AI-enabled hardware product that provides visibility in side-swipe and rear-collision cases.

Pre-installation

Login to the Fleet Dashboard and click the Admin icon at the bottom left corner.

Click Vehicles from the le t-hand side menu.

Click Options in the Action column of your vehicle.

A drop-down menu appears, click Edit Vehicle.

The Edit Vehicle screen displays, scroll down to the Omnicam section.

Click Assign to enable the AI Omnicam for each mounted location.

Click Save at the top right corner.

Select the installation location

Once selected, identify and test the camera mount location. a. For side camera installation, cowl or door is suggested.

Note: The surface should be as flat as possible to ensure a robust connection. -
Provide temporary power to the camera using the V or V red wire and a Amp fuse to assess the mounting location field of view. Black wire is for ground. Do not use blue wrapped wires.
Note: If you trim the cable more than 8 inches you would see following wires:
· Two red wires for POWER. Twist them together to connect to either V or V source.
· Two unshielded tin wires for GROUND. Twist them together to connect to ground.
· 4 colored wires – blue, green, yellow and orange. Do not use them and ensure they are never exposed. What is the use of AI Omnicam’s colored cables? -
Download Video LAN (VLC player) app on your device

Connect your camera via WiFi to an individual camera to check its field of view before permanent installation.
SSID : Motive Omnicam <last 6 digits of S/N> PW: 1234567890 -
Once connected, Open VLC Network Stream. Type following URL to view camera video live: rtsp://192.168.2.1/live
Note: In the future, the above functionality will be available via Motive Fleet App. -
Once connected, hold the camera with mount assembly on your selected location with the LED facing upward to check its Field of View. You do not need to tighten the mount screws for this testing.

You can adjust the Field Of View by moving the camera around. Ensure you’re ge ting a clear and desired view.
Permanent installation

Follow the steps from the above section.

Disconnect temporary power from the camera.

Use the alcohol wipes provided in the box to wipe the surface before installing your camera.

Remove the black sticker from the mount plate. Prior to drilling the holes, note the camera has to be pointed in the opposite direction of the grommet hole.

Install the mount plate at your selected location using the provided grommet, M bolts, locknuts, and washers. Note: Only use the provided hardware kit for installation. Use the mount plate slots for the provided M bolts, do not use the other slo ted holes for installation.
Note: Ensure that you have access to all M screw locations on the metal base plate -
Route the camera cable through a metal base plate and grommet hole.

Power the camera permanently using the 12 V or 24 V red wire. Black wire is ground.
Note: DO NOT USE wrapped blue wires. DO NOT STRIP the wrapped blue wires as it can cause a short in the device. Also, if more than 5m length is needed to connect to vehicle power, it requires an additional wire harness (suggest to use AWG). This is not provided by Motive.
Note: The fuse taps/in-line switches are not provided by Motive. Ensure a Amp fuse is used for each camera. -
Connect the front housing of the camera mount using M screws. Allen key is provided to tighten these M screws.

Connect the rear housing of the camera mount with M screws.

Ensure the LED of the camera is facing up towards the sky before tightening the screws.

Now, check the Field of View (FOV) of your installed camera. You can untighten the screws shown below to rotate the camera within the mount to adjust the FOV.

Once securely connected, your camera may undergo a so tware update that is indicated with a white flashing LED.

The LED turns solid white once the camera is updated and is ready to record.
Note: Remove plastic protective film on the camera once installation is complete.
