Thank you for purchasing Zoo Jamz® Giraffe Piano.
Choose an instrument and join the band. Sing along with the giraffe, or play music and create your own songs!

WARNING:
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE:
Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.

GETTING STARTED

Battery Removal and Installation

  1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
  2. Find the battery cover located on the back of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
  3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
  4. Install 3 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box (for best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended).
  5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

WARNING:
Adult assembly required for battery installation.
Keep batteries out of reach of children.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION

  • Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
  • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
  • Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
  • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
  • Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:

  • Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from toy before charging.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

Exit Try-Me Mode
Attention: The unit is in Try-Me mode when it is first out of box. Slide the Volume switch to the Low volume to exit the Try-Me mode, and then slide the Mode Selector to the mode 1 to turn on the unit in normal mode.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  1. Tempo Selector
    Adjust the tempo when you play a melody.
    Up: Fast
    Center: Standard
    Down: Slow

  2. Instrument Selector
    Choose between Piano , Violin , Xylophone or Saxophone sounds as you play and listen to music.

  3. Music Button
    Press a Music Button to select a song.
    Choose mode 1 to hear the lyrics and mode 2 for melody only.

  4. Pause Button
    As the music plays, press the Pause Button to pause or start the music.

  5. On/Off Mode Selector
    Move the selector down to turn the unit Off or up to select a mode of play.

  6. Microphone
    Pick up the Microphone to turn it On.
    Return the Microphone to the stand to turn it off.

  7. Scratch Disc
    Spin the Scratch Disc to hear fun sound effects and jam with the music.

  8. 8 Light-Up Piano Keys
    Press any of the 8 Light-Up Piano Keys to play along!

  9. Music Book
    Turn the page, and the unit will recognize the page and play the corresponding music.

  10. Volume Switch
    Move the Switch to select high or low volume.

  11. Automatic Shut-Off
    To preserve battery life, the unit will automatically turn off after several minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by slide the On/ Off Mode Selector. The unit will also automatically turn off when the batteries are very low. A warning sound  effect will be played as a reminder to change the batteries.

ACTIVITIES

Activity 1
Music Time
Press a Music Button to choose a song.
The song will play with the lyrics. Then, the song will play again without vocals so you can sing along!

Activity 2
Learning Mode
Press a Music Button to choose a melody.
Watch and listen. After the melody plays, follow the 8 Light-Up Keys to play the melody on your own.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.
  3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period of time.
  4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

  1. Please turn the unit OFF.
  2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
  3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
  4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.
  5. If the product still does not work, replace with a new set of batteries.

NOTE:
