Adding Storage Server
- Open the storage server and follow the prompts to install and run it.
- In IVMS-4200, go to [Maintenance and Management] > [Device Management] > [Add Device].
- Enter the following details:
- ModeIP/Domain Name: Customized
- Address: Fill in the storage server IP address (local computer IP)
- Port Number: Default 8000 (can be customized)
- User Name: admin
- Password: Your configured password
- Check the “Import to the group” box and click Add.
Formatting the Hard Disk
- In the [Device Management] interface, select the storage server added earlier.
- Go to [Remote Configuration] > [Storage] > [Commonly Used], select the computer’s hard disk for storing video files.
- Click [Format] to complete the formatting process. The hard disk status will become normal after formatting.
Video Plan Configuration:
- In the [Maintenance and Management] interface, click [Storage Plan].
- Select the monitoring points for video storage and choose the storage server for the video plan.
- Edit the template, set up the plan, and save it.
- For multiple channels, synchronize the recording plan by copying it to other channels that need configuration.

Add storage server
After opening and following the prompts to install and run the storage server, enter the IVMS-4200 [Maintenance and Management] interface and click [Device Management] – [Add Device].

Formatting the hard disk

Video plan configuration
Enter the [Maintenance and Management] interface, click [Storage Plan].
Channel interface to select the monitoring points that need to store video,
the storage server to store the video plan to choose to open, click on the
template to edit, set the template, set up and save after completion.
If there are multiple channels, [Copy to] the other channels that need to be configured with a recording plan to synchronize the recording plan.
