READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

  1. This steamer is for household use and similar settings such as (residential homes and hotels).
  2. Verify the voltage compatibility between your mains circuit and voltage indicated on the garment steamer. Connecting to the wrong voltage may cause irreparable damage to the steamer(Only use in countries and regions with a 110V-120V power supply, such as the United States, and Canada.)
  3. For your safety, do not direct the steamer towards yourself, others, or animals, as it can cause burns or injury due to the steam.
  4. Do not steam your own or any other person’s clothes while they are wearing them, as it may cause burns.
  5. Avoid directly putting into contact the hot (heated front metal plate), with external objects to avoid home damage and safety accidents.
  6. Do not submerge this steamer in water or any other liquids, and do not rinse under a tap or faucet.
  7. Do not put your body in direct contact with hot metal parts (heated front metal plate), or steam to avoid burns.
  8. Never attempt to disassemble or repair the garment steamer by yourself. If there is a problem contact the support team.
  9. Do not leave this steamer unattended while it is powered on or while it is still hot.
  10. When disconnecting this steamer, do not pull the power cord. Instead, it’s best to gently grab the plug and remove it from the power outlet.
  11. Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with hot surfaces or rough, sharp edges. After use, let the garment steamer cool down and then loosely wind the power cord around the steamer
  12. All cables should be positioned safely so that they cannot be tripped over or become an obstruction.
  13. Close supervision is necessary when this steamer is used near children or individuals with certain disabilities. Unsupervised use could result in fire or personal injury.
  14. To reduce the risk of exposure to hot water from the steam vent, always inspect the steamer carefully before use and ensure there are no issues. Also, maintain a safe distance between your body and the steamer while using it, and remember to press the steam button cautiously.
  15. Unplug this steamer when adding water, cleaning, disassembling, installing accessories, and when not in use.
  16. Do not use the steamer if it has been dropped, has obvious signs of damage, or leaks. Inspect the power cord for signs of fraying or damage before use. Do not use if the power cord is damaged to avoid any hazard.

Before initial use

  1. After you receive the product, check for damages. If you find that the product is obviously broken, please stop using it and contact our customer support immediately. We will arrange to send you a replacement as soon as possible.
  2. If you notice that the garment steamer sprays water excessively during it’s initial use, please stop using it and contact our customer support immediately. We will provide you with the best solution within 24 hours.
  3. During first time use, some smoke or a harmless odour may be produced or there may be a small discharge of particles that will disapper quickly and will not affect it’s use. This is not a sign of any malfunction or potential hazard.

Water use instructions
This steamer is designed be used with demineral­ized, or purified, water. Other liquids may cause damage. Never use water that contains additives (starch, fragrances, fragrances, softeners, etc.) or conden­sation (e.g. tumble dryer water, refrigerated water, air conditioner water, rainwater). These types of water contain organic waste, and mineral elements that become concentrated when heated and cause spitting brown staining, leaking or premature wear on your steamer.

Operating Instructions

Before use
Please read the labels on the exterior of the steamer and water tank carefully.

  1. Follow the directions indicated on the label, to remove the tank.
  2. Remove the water inlet stopper to fill the tank with purified water.
  3. Close the water inlet stopper.
  4. Follow the direction indicated on the label, to return the water tank to its place.

How to use

  1. Plug in the steamer. Push the switch to the STEAM setting. The indicator light will turn red indicating that the device preheating.
  2. Wait 35s, and the indicator light will transition to green, signifying that preheating is complete, and the device will automatically begin emitting steam.
  3. Start steaming.

Note

  1. Once the device completes the preheating process, the indicator light will transition to green, and the device will automatically begin emitting steam. We kindly remind you to exercise caution and handle the high-temperature steam with care to prevent any potential burns.
  2. If the clothes feel damp after steaming, hang them on a hanger to dry.

After Use

  • Power off and unplug the steamer.
  • Note : After unplugging, wait for about an hour to let the steamer cool down, before storing it.
  • Always empty the water tank completely after use.

Note

  1. Never touch the front metal plate before the steamer has completely cooled down.
  2. Avoid directly putting into contact the hot (heated front metal plate), with external objects to avoid home damage and safety accidents.

Accessories

The fabric brush can be used to remove lint, pet hair, dust, and dander on coats and down jackets.

  1. To attach: Before attaching the fabric brush, make sure the steamer is unplugged and cooled down. To use the brush, simply attach it to the steamer’s head.(You will hear a click sound when the brush snaps into place).
  2. To remove: After using the steamer, the steamer’s head will remain hot, so it’s important to let it cool down. Once the steamer has cooled down, put your finger under the pointed tip and lift it up to remove the brush.

Care & Maintenance

Cleaning Instructions

  1. When cleaning, always make sure the steamer is unplugged and wait for about an hour for the steamer to cool down completely.
  2. Do not wash (rinse) the main body of the steamer with water to avoid damaging its internal electronic components.
  3.  Do not use detergent to clean the steamer. Only use a soft cloth/sponge slightly dipped in clean water or tap water.

Note: In order to avoid mineral build up inside the tank, we recommend using distilled or demineralized water, or purified water.

White or yellow powder crystals may appear on steam-emitting nozzles. This is known as scaling. To remove these stains and limescale, it is recommended to use white vinegar:

  1. When descaling, please open a window for ventilation.
  2. Add a mixture of white vinegar and water. Use a ratio of 1 part vinegar to 5 parts water.
  3. Follow the steps to turn on the steamer. Switch to steam setting and steam for 15 minutes. Do not use this mixture to steam clothes.
  4. Turn off the steamer, and empty the tank by pouring out the mixture.
  5. Clean the inside of the water tank until there is no vinegar smell. Add below 300ml of purified water, and follow the steps to turn on the steamer. Use the steam setting for about 5 minutes.
  6. Follow the steps to turn off the steamer and let it cool down. After the steamer is completely cooled, use a cotton swab or cleaning brush to remove dirt from the sole plate.
  7. If not used for an extended period, please clean the steamer thoroughly and store it in a dry place.

Troubleshooting

Clothes not suitable for steaming

It is strictly forbidden to steam clothes with the following pictures on the washing label when using this garment steamer.
Note:

  1. Do not use this steamer to steam sequins on clothes to avoid damaging them.
  2. Do not use this steamer to steam the “graphic prints” or “clothes prints” on clothes to avoid damaging them.
  3. Do not use this steamer to steam silk clothes to avoid damaging them.
  4. Do not use this steamer to steam leather or suede clothes to avoid damaging them.
  5. Do not use this steamer to steam clothing labelled as “dry clean only,” to avoid damaging them.
  6. Do not use this steamer to steam materials that are susceptible to melting, to avoid damaging them.

Warranty

CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Hilife handheld garment steamer is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. In the event that a defect covered by this warranty occurs during the period stated above, please contact after-sales support for assistance. The warranty doesn’t apply under the following conditions:

  1. The one-year warranty period has expired.
  2. All product damage is caused by mishandling and improper use according to the user manual instructions.
  3. Damage caused by repairs made by the customer or unauthorized repair service personnel.
  4. Damage is caused by human factors (such as dropping, water submerging, use of unknown liquid corrosion, etc.).
