Device description

Etac supplies a wide selection of slings for different types of transfers. The Molift RgoSling series is designed to provide high comfort for users by evenly distributing weight and pressure. Molift RgoSlings are available in different sizes, models and materials. See www.etac.com for a complete overview of possible variants.
Molift RgoSling Ambulating Vest can be used for rehabilitation and mobilization to facilitate standing, walking and balance training with a ceiling hoist or mobile hoist.
The vest is primarily designed for a 4-point sling bar, but it also works with a 2-point sling bar.

Benefits
The vest is padded to distribute the weight, which provides a comfortable support for the user through the entire transfer.
The self-tightening loops prevent the sling from sliding up.
The design makes it possible to adjust the load on the legs by raising or lowering the hoist.
The vest is placed around the user’s waist and secured with the belt buckles and possibly the optional groin straps that prevent the sling from sliding up.
The vest has a non-slip lining inside which helps keep it in place.
Using the vest provides a high level of safety and security for the user.

Troubleshooting

Problem Action

There is more than 10 cm between the left and right side padding of the waist belt.| Try a larger size.
The waist belt is too loose after tightening it.| Try a smaller size.
The user’s head comes too close to the sling bar.| Try another loop connection to extend the distance to the sling bar. Otherwise, try a larger size.

The sling is sliding up.

| Tighten the waist belt properly.

Make sure the sling is positioned low enough on the user’s back when applying it. Otherwise, try a smaller size.

Make sure the user leans forwards in the beginning of the transfer. Otherwise, evaluate whether the user is able to follow the instructions or requires a passive hoist.

Make sure the user is not wearing slippery clothes.

The user is not able to take load on the legs.

| Evaluate whether the user has the physical ability for this type of sling. Otherwise, the user requires a passive hoist.
