Description
→ The GAZELLE G9645 is a manual foot operated hydraulic pump designed for operating of crimping and cutting heads for cable termination or cable cutting activities.
→ Do not pump up oil pressure without having the correct crimp head or cutter
properly connected to the pump.
→ Read this instruction carefully before using the pump.
Technical data
Weight, pump: | 8.8kg |
---|---|
Weight, transportation box: | 4.5kg |
Dimensions, pump (hose not included): | 560×180×205mm |
Dimensions, transportation box | 720×200×300mm |
Standard maximum oil pressure setting | 700bar |
Usage
→ When connecting an crimp head or cable cutter. It is important to ensure the
correct quick coupling function. This is done by making sure that the coupling
halves are fully engaged to each other.
→ When using the pump. try to place it on an even and horizontal surface in
order to avoid tilting. The pump gives a high oil flow when the pressure is
low, i.e. before the tool really starts crimping or cutting. At higher
pressure the flow is reduced to keep the pedal force down, so therefore more
force in the foot pedal is required.
→ When full crimping force has been reached the system will automatically
release the pressure. A click-sound is heard and the pedal force is much
reduced. The crimp action is now completed.
→ When cutting cables, it is advisable to return the cutter blade directly
when the cutting is finished without using the Auto full pressure release.
→ Tool return is achieved when the pressure release lever(1) on the pump side
is pushed gently.
→ On the pump side, opposite to the release lever, there is an outlet port (3)
where a gauge may be connected. Such gauge must have a pressure range up to at
least 70Mpa,700bar or 1010psi. The connection thread is ISO G1/8.
→ During transport action the hose can be wound around the pump held by the
“ears” on the footplate. The pedal can be fixed in its lower position.
Maintenance
→ The GAZELLE G9645 is made from a surface treated aluminum alloy and requires
only a limited amount of care. It should however always be kept clean and free
from dirt. This is particularly important when it comes to both sides of the
quick coupling and the pedals rolling shaft acting on the pump piston.
→ If a larger oil leakage has occurred and been attended to, the oil level of
the tank must be checked. Clean the area around the oil top plug on top of the
pump house and remove the plug.
When the pump is horizontal the oil level should be 10-15mm below the pump
house upper surface.
If oil needs to be added, it is of utmost importance that no dirt enters the
system.
→ Use hydraulic oil type Hydrex MV22 or similar types.
→ If the tool piston travel is found uneven when the pedal is pushed, the
system should be de-sired. This is made by placing the attached crimp head
lower than the pump and repeatedly pump the pedal a few strokes and activate
the release lever, all without reaching any higher pressure in the system.
Service and repair
→ If the foot pump, in spite of proper handling does not work satisfactory, it
should be sent to an authorized service center.
Contact your supplier directly for more information.
→ The design and function inside the GAZLLE G9645 is complicated and there is nothing one can do without access to special equipment. Therefore, do not try to repair possible malfunctions yourself.
