Thank you for choosing our products.
For your own safety, please read this manual carefully before using the device
NOTE: Before use, remove the protective plastic strip from the back of
the device by simply pulling it.

Precautions
- Read the instructions carefully
- Keep the instructions handy for future reference
- Heed all warnings
- Do not expose the device to water or moisture
- Clean only with a dry cloth
- If the device will not be used for a long time, remove the battery to prevent potential damage due to possible battery leakage
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. The use of attachments/accessories not recommended by the product manufacturer may cause damage to the device
- Avoid placing the device in direct sunlight or near heating elements or vents

Quick Start Guide
- Fully charge the device before use
- Turn the device on using the ON/OFF slider button (3)
- Press SCAN (13) to begin FM Scan Forward
Sweep Direction
- If a sweep is already active you must press SCAN (13) again to stop the current sweep
- SWEEP REVERSE – While the scan is STOPPED hold SWP REV (16) for 2 seconds to sweep in the reverse direction
- SWEEP FORWARD – While the scan is STOPPED hold SWP FWD (18) for 2 seconds to sweep in the forward direction
Sweep Speed
- Short-press SWP FWD (18) to make the scan faster
- Short-press SWP REV (16) to make the scan slower

Single Channel
If the sweep is already active, short-press CHANNEL REV (15) or CHANNEL FW
(17) to stop the sweep.
You can also stop the sweep by pressing the SCAN (13) button.
- Short-press CHANNEL REV (15) to move backward 1/10th frequency (i.e. 95.6fi-n 955fm)
- Short-press CHANNEL EMT (In to move forward 1/10th frequency (i.e. 95.6fm 95.7(m)
- Hold CHANNEL REV (1 5) for 2 seconds to manually sweep in reverse. Once you reach the desired frequency, release the button.
- Hold CHANNEL FW(17) for 2 seconds to manually sweep forward. Once you reach the desired frequency, release the button.
Battery and Charging
- The Paranormic Spirit Box is powered by a rechargeable battery. ‘lb charge the device, connect the provided micro USB charging cable to a USB power source. While charging, the flashlight’s LED will show as red and will turn offonce charging is complete.
To charge the device via an AC power outlet, you will need to use a USB to AC power adapter (not provided).
NOTE: We suggest taking the battery out of the spirit box when storing the device. Since the flashlight is always in :standby mode’ even when the unit is off it does drain the battery dish*, over lime.
Modes
To change modes press the MODE button (11).

SCANNING FM
This mode is used for conducting spirit box sweep sessions using the FM band. -
SCANNING AM
This mode is used for conducting spirit box sweep sessions using the AM band. -
BLUETOOTH
This mode allows you to connect a Bluetooth audio device to use the spirit box as an external wireless speaker or to connect your wireless headphones. -
SD CARD
This mode allows you to play recorded spirit box sessions and other audio files on the memory card or from a USB drive.
Record
To record a sweep, you mint first insert a micro SD card into the port at the
bottom of the device (19).
NOTE: Maximum size for the SD card is 32GB.
To record radio sweep audio, first, start the sweep in the direction you
prefer. Once the sweep has begun press REC (14) for 2 seconds. To stop
recording press REC (14) for 2 seconds again.
Stop recording after each session to save the file properly.
While recording you can start, pause or change direction on the sweep as you
wish.
To access recorded files:
- Remove the SD card from the memory slot (19) and insert it into a computer using any micro SD cad reader.
- Plug the spirit box directly into a computer via the USE data port (8) using the provided USB cable.
Playback
To play audio files from the SO card, press MODE (11) to SD CARD:
Press CHANNEL REV (15) or CHANNEL FIV (17) to select a file. The spirit box
will play the audio file. Each file is indicated by a number in the sequence
Press PLAY (14) to pause playback.
File management
To delete files, we suggest connecting the spirit box to your computer using
the included USE cable, or by inserting the SD card into your computer.
Although you can manage and delete files directlyon the spirit box, its much
easier to do on a computer.
To delete recorded files directly on the spirit box device, press the MODE ( I
0 button to get into ‘Playback’ mode. Press CHANNEL REV (15) or CHANNEL VW
(17) until you get to the desired file. Each file is numbered sequentially.
Make sure to listen to the file to note which one you want to delete to ensure
you don’t delete something you want to To delete the file you are listening to
press T (12). This will delete the file PERMANENTLY.
Line In
This mode allows you to plug in an audio device to use the Spirit Box as an external wired speaker. Use the provided 3.5 audio-to-micro USE cable to connect to another compatible audio source.
Bluetooth setup
To initiate a Bluetooth connection between devices:
- Press the MODE (11) button to get into ‘Bluetooth’ mode
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON on your device and search for Bluetooth devices
- The spirit box will be discoverable and show up as ‘Paranormic Spirit Box’.
- Once connected you will hear a chime

turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the

- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
FCC Radiation Exposure statement
The device has been evaluatec to meel general RF exposure requirement. The
device can be used in porlable exposure condition without restriction.
