Installation Instructions

  1. Isolate supply at the switchboard.

  2. Remove the base plate from the light fitting by undoing 2x retaining screws below the two lights.TRADER SCSP24TWIN Series Scorpion 24W Twin Spotlight - fig 1

  3. Using the supplied mounting holes in the base plate. Mark up the mounting location and install suitable wall plugs and screws.

  4. Ensure the base plate is secure and that the “UP” arrow is orientated correctly.

  5. Runcables through supplied rubber grommets into terminal block. If rubber grommet isn’t used, silicon sealant must be used on cable entries to maintain the correct IP status.
    Wire the Active incoming supply to the terminal block marked “L’, as per wiring diagram.
    Wire the incoming supply Neutral and the load Neutral connection to the terminal block marked “N*, as per wiring diagram.
    Wire the earth according to the wiring diagram.
    NOTE: Installation must be carried out according to Australian Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000).

  6. Using selector switch inside the light fitting select the colour for the light: Warm White-3000k, Normal White-4000k or Daylight-5700k.

  7. Install the light fitting onto the base plate and secure with the two supplied screws. Ensure that the three Quick-Connect legs line up properly with the terminal block on the base plate.

  8. CAUTION: Do not over tighten screws into base plate

  9. Position globes to the desired location and ensure locking screws are finger tightened

  10. DO NOT use a tool to tighten locking screws

  11. Restore power supply at switchboard.

  12. Turn on light fitting and test operation.

  13. Ensure cover at the base of the light fitting is installed correctly.
    Failure to do so will reduce the IP rating.
    SCSP24TWIN Series can be upgraded to operate as a sensor light with the SCSPSENSOR Series attachment (Sold Separately)

Precaution

  1. Read the entire manual carefully prior to installation and operation.
  2. The warranty period is listed on the product as well as on the packaging. We will repair or replace the product if it becomes defective under normal use due to a manufacturing defect within the prescribed period.
  3. Declared lumen output is based upon measurements obtained during operation on the appointed LED electronic driver under standardised laboratory conditions.
  4. Installation must be performed by a licensed and qualified electrician, in accordance with these instructions and relevant Australian Standards.
  5. Do not change or tamper with any internal electric circuits, add any wires, connectors or cables for any reason.
  6. Please do not insert any physical objects of any nature into the fitting as this may cause electric shock, malfunction or damage to the products.
  7. Before replacement of the fitting turn the power off and allow to cool down.
  8. In case of weight discrepancy when replacing old lamps, please ensure that the mounted structure is rated to withstand the weight of the new amp and installation materials.
