2-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty
This product has been manufactured to the highest quality standards. This product is warranted to the original purchaser and is not transferable. The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for 2 Years from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this warranty period, under normal use and care will be repaired, replaced, or refunded. The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all other rights and remedies of the consumer under Commonwealth, State, and Territory laws about the goods or services to which this warranty relates and Australian Consumer Law. Risk regarding the product to be repaired shall at all times remain with the Purchaser. The warranty is given on the condition that the product to which it applies is used for the purpose and in the manner intended by its construction and for no other purposes whatsoever. GSM Electrical (Australia) Pty Ltd shall not be responsible for damage of any kind, caused by accidents, power surges, electrical storm damage, incorrect power current, infestation (vermin or insect), incorrect installation, incorrect electricity or plumbing installation, improper use of controls or failure to use the appliance by the operating instructions, general misuse or abuse or from normal wear and tear. Any attempt by an unauthorized person to repair or tamper with the equipment shall render the warranty null and void. This warranty does not apply to consumables such as filters or similar replaceable consumables. Goods presented for repair under this warranty may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods. GSM Electrical (Australia) Pty Ltd’s liability under this warranty is limited to the replacement and/or repair of the defective parts within the warranty period and does not extend to the installation or removal of the product. Acceptance of liability by GSM Electrical (Australia) Pty Ltd contained herein is to the exclusion of any other remedy whatsoever and howsoever arising in respect of any equipment to which it applies.
Proof of Purchase
Please keep your purchase docket or receipt as proof of purchase and as proof of the date on which the purchase was made. The purchase docket or receipt must be presented with the warranty when claiming this warranty. Failure to produce documentary proof of the date of original acquisition by the original Purchaser will result in a charge being levied for work done, labor, and parts supplied. Likewise, a charge will be made for any calls following warranty claims where no fault is found with the appliance.
Service during the warranty period
The first point of contact for product issues is the store of purchase. The product can be personally returned to the original place of purchase for product repair, replacement, or refund. Please ensure the product is properly packaged to ensure that no damage occurs to the product during transit. Also, make sure that you have included an explanation of the problem. In the event of goods requiring repair under the manufacturer’s warranty, the owner is responsible for the cost of transportation. Should the goods be found to be in sound working order the owner might be charged a fee. In the event of repair under warranty on goods more than 30km away from the place of purchase, additional travel costs will be billed to the owner. Cleaning
This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship, under normal domestic use. To maintain the fan’s function and to ensure that it does not become clogged, which will reduce the working life and void the warranty. It may be necessary to clean its components when necessary as this will ensure many years of trouble-free service. To clean the grille, remove it from the fan assembly and wash it in warm soapy water, or for stubborn grease use a bottle brush and cloudy ammonia. To clean the fan blades use a rag or sponge moistened with soapy water or cloudy ammonia depending on the level of grease residue. Ensure the fan is switched off from supply mains and NEVER attempt to clean while the fan is running or immerse the motor in any liquid.

Read all instructions and safety information. Review the assembly diagrams provided before installing your new exhaust fan. All electrical work must only be undertaken after disconnection of the power by removing fuses or turning off the circuit breaker, to ensure all pole disconnection from the electrical supply. All electrical work must be carried out by a licensed and qualified electrician and under AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and applicable local authority regulations.

This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the product
by a person responsible for their safety. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Do not cut
or notch joists, beams, and rafters to install the appliance. Do not damage hidden electrical wiring or utilities when making the ceiling cut. The product must be installed so that switches and other controls cannot be touched by a person in the bath or shower. -
Do not install the product directly above the shower, bath enclosures, or a location where water will splash onto it. Check and confirm after the product is completely installed that all connections are proper and secure to prevent the product from falling, causing property damages or injury. Do not probe through the fascia opening. Do not install or use the appliance outdoors where it could be exposed to water or moisture (indoor use only). It is necessary to allow the disconnection of the appliance from the supply after installation. The disconnection may be achieved by having the plug accessible
or by incorporating a switch in the fixed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard. -
Ensure that the fan is switched off from the supply mains before removing the guard.
Installation
- For correct installation please follow the steps provided on the packaging. The following points should also be noted for installation. Any electrical wiring MUST be carried out by a licensed electrician.
- Do not restrict the airflow by installing ducting that at some point has a restricted diameter. Any ducting in use must be less than 1 meter and be no smaller than the diameter of the fan blades to achieve the required performance.
- Do not install the fan in restricted spaces where air movement is limited such as canopies as it must have free air.
- If mounting in kitchens above or near hot plates, it must be at least 120cm above the surface and also have an additional 50cm clear space above the fan blades.
- Mount the fan to ensure there are no hidden obstructions above the desired position and ensure the location provides adequate ventilation.
- Mark the cutout position on the ceiling using the template from the box.
- Cut out the hole for the fan frame using the appropriate method.
- With the grille removed, make the electrical connections and insert the frame into the hole.
- Rotate the clamps and secure the frame into position using the mounting screws.
- Ensure the fan blade is moving freely and the cables are clear and not likely to interfere with the fan’s function.
- Fit the grille to the fan frame assembly.
This product must be installed indoors in places that require circulated airflow and room illumination such as bathrooms, ensuites, and laundries. The product must be horizontally mounted on a ceiling and not on a wall or a raked ceiling. The product should not be installed directly above the shower cubicle or bath enclosure. The product should not be installed in a location where there is a possibility of water splashing onto the switch being touched by a person in the bath or shower. Air must be allowed to enter the room being ventilated. This can be done by increasing the gap under the door, installing door grilles, or opening windows. It is impossible to exhaust more air from a room than is allowed to enter it. The product should be positioned to ensure ventilation air traversing the room provides ventilation to all areas. Avoid positioning the product too close to windows or doors as such positioning cuts short the airflow path and does not provide proper ventilation. Ensure air is ventilated to the outside through ductwork. Exhaust fans may adversely affect the safe operation of appliances burning gas or other fuels (including those in other rooms) due to the backflow of combustion gases. These gases can potentially result in carbon monoxide poisoning. After the installation of an exhaust fan such as a partition fan or a duct fan, the operation of flued gas appliances should be tested by a competent person to ensure that the backflow of combustion gases does not occur. It is recommended that the air outlet points toward an outer wall and that the ductwork interconnecting the air outlet and the external grille (not supplied) be laid in a straight fashion. If it is desirable for ductwork (not supplied) to run across any timber structures such as rafter, stud, or joist, ensure the closest structure is not within 300mm of the air outlet. Ensure the air outlet of the product is not directed to or close to a rafter or stud allowing the draft stopper on the outlet to fully open when the fan is turned on. The product should be placed within 90cm of a pre-wired socket allowing power cable to be connected. Ensure there is at least 2.3 meters between the fascia and the floor. Ensure there is the following clearance above the ceiling for installation.
