Power

  • To power the unit, plug the included AC/DC power adapter into the DVD player and a standard wall outlet. For use in a car, plug the 12V DC car power adapter (included) into the DVD player and a standard 12V Power outlet in the car.
  • The Power Indicator will turn red when the DVD player is ON. The Charge Indicator will turn red whenever the battery is charging. The Charge Indicator will turn green when the battery is done  charging. Total charge time is approximately 5 hours.

Remote Functions

TV Setup

TV Antenna Installation
This player can receive ATSC TV signals after installing the TV antenna. The player includes two TV antennas.

  1.  Connect the Telescopic antenna directly to the TV Antenna Input on the player. 
  2. Connect one end of the Amplified antenna cable to the TV Antenna Input on the player and the other end to the USB port.

Auto Scanning for Channels
The Auto Channel Scan must be run before any channels can be viewed on the television. Initial channel scanning process may take up to 15 min.

  1.  Press the Source button to switch to TV mode.
  2. Press the Search button to begin scanning for available channels.
  3. Playback will begin on the first discovered channel after the scan completes.
  4. Use the Rew/CH- and FWD/CH+buttons to change channels while watching TV.
    NOTE: After the initial scan, the player will remember the discovered TV channels.

Initial System Setup for TV (ATSC)
When you press the Menu button on the remote while in TV mode, the following setting menu will appear on the screen. Press the Arrow buttons to navigate between the menu pages and press the OK button select and confirm your choices. Press the Exit button to save any setting changes and return to the previous menu screen or to exit the settings menu.
Note: This player has an Electronic Programming Guide (EPG) that can show TV programming up to 7 days in advance. However, certain TV stations may only allow the EPG to show 1 day of programming.
Program Menu
Some menus may require a password. The default password for the player is “000000.”

  1. Program Edit
    Use the Arrow buttons and the Number Keypad (#1-4) to edit TV stations.

  2. EPG

    • Use the Right Arrow button to enter the Program Guide list.
    • In the Program Guide list, use the Up or Down Arrow buttons to select a program.
    •  Press the OK button to open the schedule list.
    • In the schedule list, press the “1” key on the Number Keypad to add the program to the schedule list. Press the “2” key to edit the program on the schedule list. Press the “3” key to delete the program from the schedule list.
  3. Sort
    Use the Arrow buttons to sort by LCN, ONID, Service Name, or Service ID.

Picture Menu

  1. Aspect Ratio
    Use the Arrow buttons to select 16:9 Pan & Scan, 4:3 Letter Box, or 4:3 Pan & Scan, 4:3 Full,16:9 Widescreen, Auto, as the aspect ratio.

  2. Resolution
    Use the Arrow buttons to select 1080i, 1080p (60Hz), 480i, 480p, or 720p and the display resolution.

Channel Search Menu

  1.  Auto Search
    Press the Right Arrow button to start Auto Search

  2.  Manual Search
    Press the Right Arrow button to start Manual Search

  3. Country
    Use the Arrow buttons to select different country from USA or Mexico,

  4. Signal Type
    Use the Arrow buttons to set signal type Air or Cable

  5. Modulation
    Use the Arrow buttons to set modulation CH_OFF, CH3_ON or CH4_ON

Time Menu

  1.  Time Offset
    Use the Arrow buttons to select Auto or Manual.

  2. Country Region
    Use the Arrow buttons to select USA or Mexico as your region

  3. Time Zone
    Use the Arrow buttons to select your current time zone when TIme Offset is set to Manual.

Option Menu

  1. OSD Language
    Use the Arrow buttons to select English, French, or Spanish as the On Screen Display language

  2. Close Caption
    Use the Arrow buttons to select CC Display, CC Position, Font Size, Font Color, BG Color or CC Transparency

  3. Audio Language
    Use the Arrow buttons to select English, French, or Spanish as the audio language.

System Menu
Some menus may require a password. The default password for the player is “000000.”

  1. Parental Guidance

    • System Lock
      Use the Arrow buttons to select On/Off. The following settings can be changed when system lock is on.

    • Rating Region
      Use the Arrow buttons to select US or Canada

    • MPAA
      Use the Arrow buttons to select from MPAA settings (OFF, G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17 or X)

    • TV
      Press the Right Arrow button to enter Parental Guidance map. Use the Arrow buttons to lock items in the map.

  2. Set Password
    Press the Right Arrow button to enter the Set Password menu, Input Old Password, Input New Password, and Confirm Password.

  3. Restore Factory Default
    Press the Right Arrow button to enter. Enter the password. Press the OK button to confirn and reset to factory setting. Press exit to quit.

  4. Information
    Press the Right Arrow button to show the unit Model, SW Version, and HW Version information

  5. Software Update
    For service center use only.

Playing a DVD or CD

  1.  Press the OPEN button on the interior of the player to open the disc door.
  2. Place a disc on the center spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the lid. You will hear a click after you have shut the lid securely.
  4. Slide the Power On/Off switch on the right side of the unit to the on position to power on the unit. Playback will start automatically.

Note: When you press the Stop button then press the Play button, the player will resume playback from the last stopped position. There is a loading delay during this process while the player recalls memory of the last stopped position.

Movie Playback Options

Onscreen status bars appear after you press the Display, Subtitle, Angle, Zoom, Audio, or Repeat buttons while playing DVDs. To exit the status bars, press the same button again or leave the screen idle for about 5 seconds.

  1. The Display status bar shows the source, current scene/chapter number, the total number of scenes/ chapters, and the playback timestamp.
  2. The Subtitle status bar shows the current subtitle language.
  3. The Angle status bar shows the current viewing angle (not available on all discs).
  4. The Zoom status bar shows the current zoom level.
  5. The Audio status bar shows the current audio language and stereo mode.
  6. The Repeat status bar shows playback repeat options.

Programming a DVD or CD

  1. 1. While the loaded disc is playing, press the Prog button on the remote. The menu below should appear on the screen for DVD programming.
    Use the Number Keypad and Arrow buttons to enter in DVD titles and chapters or CD tracks in the order you want them to play.

    • Repeat step until the desired DVD titles and chapters or CD tracks are programmed. For DVDs, titles and chapters must be entered at the same time.
  2. Press the Play button to confirm your choices and begin playing the programmed disc.

  3. Press the Stop button to stop Program playback. Press the Play button to resume Program playback.

  4. Press the Stop button twice to exit the Program feature and resume normal playback.

DVD Setup Menu
In DVD mode, press the DVD Setup button to access the DVD setup menu. Press the DVD Setup button to exit the DVD setup menu.
Player Setup
When you press the Setup button on the remote, the following setting menus will appear on the screen. Press the Arrow buttons to navigate between the menu pages and press the OK button select and confirm your choices. Press the Exit button to save any setting changes and return to the previous menu screen or to exit the settings menu.

System Menu

  1. BT OUT
    Turn Bluetooth capability ON/OFF.

  2. Power Resume
    Turn the last-position memory feature ON/OFF.

  3. TV Type
    Select 16:9, 4:3PS, or 4:3LB using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

  4. Default
    Reset the player and restore all of the default settings using the Arrow and OK buttons on the remote.

Audio Menu

  1. Key
    Adjust the Audio output tone between flat (b) and sharp (#) using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

  2. Dual Mono
    Select Stereo, Mono L, Mono R, or Mix Mono using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

Language Menu

  1. OSD Language
    Select English, French, or Spanish for the On Screen Display using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

  2. Audio Language
    Select English, French, or Spanish for the Audio Language using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

  3. Subtitle Language
    Select English, French, or Spanish for the Subtitle Language using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

  4. Menu Language
    Select English, French, or Spanish for the Menu Language using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

Video Menu

  1. Brightness
    Set the brightness level between 0 and 12 using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

  2. Contrast
    Set the contrast level between 0 and 12 using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

  3. Hue
    Set the hue level between -6 and 6 using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

  4. Saturation
    Set the saturation level between 0 and 12 using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

  5. Sharpness
    Set the sharpness level between 0 and 8 using the Arrow buttons on the remote.

Connecting to other Devices

Connecting the AV Output
Requires a 3.5mm to 3x RCA audio/video cable (included).

  1. Connect the 3.5mm to 3x RCA audio/video cable to the AV Output on the unit and the RCA stereo audio inputs and composite video input on a TV.
  2. Audio and video played on the DVD player will display on the connected TV.

Connecting the AV Input
Requires a 3.5mm to 3x RCA audio/video cable (included).

  1. Connect the 3.5mm to 3x RCA audio/video cable to the AV Input on the unit and the composite video/audio outputs on a media player.
  2. Press the Source button on the remote or on the player to enter the AV mode.
  3. Use the controls on the connected media player to select and play media displayed on the DVD player.

Bluetooth Out (Transmitter) Operation

  1. Press the Setup button to enter the System menu. Use the Arrow buttons to select BT OUT and change the setting to On. The power indicator will flash green. Then, press the Setup button or Exit button to exit the menu.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your device. To eliminate confusion, disable Bluetooth on all devices to which you do not wish to connect.
  3.  The player will auto scan and pair with your Bluetooth device. The Power Indicator will display a solid green light when connected. Audio from the player will now be heard through your Bluetooth device.
  4. To pair with another Bluetooth enabled device, disable Bluetooth on the connected Bluetooth device or turn the device off. Enter the System menu and change the BT OUT setting to off, then on again. Then, repeat steps 2 and 3.
  5. Change the BT OUT setting back to off to exit Bluetooth Transmitter mode. The Power Indicator will display a red light and audio will be heard through the player’s speakers again.

Note: This player has a Bluetooth Transmitter, meaning it can only connect to Bluetooth Receivers, such as speakers and headphones. If you experience issues pairing, check the manual for your Bluetooth device.

USB Drive & SD Card

Using a USB drive or a SD card
Supports Memory cards, SD cards, and USB flash drives. Supported file types include Mpeg4, mp3, Jpeg, and AVI file formats. Supports video files up to 720×576 pixels.

  1. Insert a USB drive into the USB port or insert a SD card into the card slot.
  2. To select USB or Card as the source, press the Source button on the remote, or press the Source button on the front of the player.
  3. Press the Arrow buttons on the remote to select Audio, JPEG, or Video mode.
  4.  Press the Arrow buttons on the remote to select the desired folder or file. Then, press the OK button to begin playing content from the connected storage device.
  5. Press the Stop button twice to return to the previous folder screen.
  • Music Playback Options
    Onscreen status bars appear on the top of the screen after you press the Display or Repeat buttons while playing music files. The Display status bar shows the source, current track number, the total number of tracks, and the playback timestamp. The Repeat status bar shows playback repeat options. To exit the status bars, press the same button again.

  • Video Playback Options
    Onscreen status bars appear on the top of the screen after you press the Display or Repeat buttons while playing video files. The Display status bar shows the source, current scene/chapter number, the total number of scenes/chapters, and the playback timestamp. The Repeat status bar shows playback repeat options. To exit the status bars, press the same button again.

  • Photo Browsing Options
    Onscreen status bars appear after you press the Display or Repeat buttons while viewing photos. The Display status bar shows the source, current file number, and the total number of files. The Repeat status bar shows playback repeat options. To exit the status bars, press the same button again.

  • Notes :

    • Press the Prev button to view the previous photo in a sequence. Press the Next button to view the next photo in a sequence.
    • While browsing, you can press the Arrow buttons to rotate the image.
