CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Pre-Filter Cover

1. Before cleaning the P2 Pre-Filter Cover, you should unplug the P2 from AC/DC Power and turn the P2 off.
2. Remove the Pre-Filter cover from the unit. Your P2 unit may have a screw in the bottom of it. If it does, you must remove this screw with a small Phillips head screwdriver prior to attempting to remove the cover. Please note, the screw is optional. You do not need to have the screw in place to secure the Pre-Filter Cover to the unit.
3. Once a week, run the Pre-Filter Cover under tap water to remove any dirt and debris. For a very dirty filter cover, put some warm water in a clean plastic tub, add 1 teaspoon of mild detergent and use a soft-bristled brush such as a toothbrush to scrub the filter clean.
4. Set the filter on a clean paper towel to dry in a safe, clean, dry place.
5. It is very important that the Pre-Filter Cover is COMPLETELY dry before you place it back in the unit.
6. The P2 should not be operated without the Pre-Filter Cover in place. The Pre-Filter Cover should be replaced if lost, bent or broken.

Cotton Filter

1. Before replacing the Cotton Filter, you should unplug the P2 from AC/DC power and turn the P2 off.
2. Remove the Pre-Filter cover. If your P2 has a screw in it, you will need to remove the screw with a small Phillips head screwdriver prior to removing the Pre-Filter Cover.
3. The Cotton Filter is located inside the unit as shown in diagram B on the left. The Cotton Filter CANNOT be cleaned, it must be replaced.
4. Weekly, you should inspect the Cotton Filter for signs of dirt, dust and hair.
5. The Cotton Filter should be replaced every 3-6 months depending on your air quality and environment.
6. Do not operate your P2 without the Cotton Filter in place. This may cause damage to your P2.
