STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
Solscient Energy is a fully integrated solar energy development company. We design, develop, install, and commission for our customers, or own and operate, turn-key solar energy generation systems for commercial and industrial applications. Our systems enable our customers to reduce energy costs, hedge against future energy price volatility and achieve corporate sustainability objectives. Solscient’s capability and experience in utility tariff and rate analysis, financial modeling, federal tax benefits, utility interconnection issues, permitting, renewable energy credits, GHG emissions reduction forecasting and reporting, system design, procurement, construction, project management and operations & maintenance is the foundation of our value proposition. Our deep understanding and hands-on experience enables our customers to deploy solar generation capacity to achieve the benefits of lower cost of electricity and participate in the ongoing transformation of our nation’s energy infrastructure. Solscient’s team is comprised of experienced photovoltaic solar, finance, development and operations professionals, with deep regional market knowledge to apply the optimum solar solution for each location and customer, and a team of highly capable and experienced installers. Experience
Solscient provides turn-key solar energy system design, development,
permitting, procurement, construction, operation, maintenance and financing
services to our customers. We self-perform substantially all of the components
of the entire process for our commercial and industrial customers. At the
outset of our engagement, we provide our customers with comprehensive energy
cost assessments, financial modeling of energy cost savings, and system design
tailored towards the customer’s energy cost savings and sustainability
objectives. Following completion of the project, we provide monitoring
services to maximize system uptime and assist with energy cost analysis
support to assure that the customer is receiving the intended cost savings
benefits.
Notable is our concentration of installations in northern Indiana supporting the Outdoor Recreation industry, including 5.8 MW for Thor Industries, 7.7 MW for Winnebago Industries, and 4.6 MW for Lippert Components. Furthermore, Solscient has designed and constructed 4.2 MW of solar projects for General Motors. Solscient has established itself as the supplier of choice for leaders in the RV and Automotive Industries, to evaluate and execute on opportunities to achieve long term cost savings, energy cost volatility hedging and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals.

Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning
Customers can take advantage of the cost savings and sustainability benefits of solar without investing capital by contracting to purchase power at a fixed rate under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). PPA’s reduce current power costs and provide an effective hedge to energy cost inflation in future utility rates. -
Equipment Lease
Solscient provides equipment leasing options as an alternative to the PPA, which facilitates a path to ownership with a seven-year lease with a FMV buyout option in year eight, resulting outright ownership thereafter to harvest energy cost savings for the remaining life of the project. -
Build / Transfer
Solscient provides turn-key design, build and transfer services to its customers that desire to own and operate the solar array. These customers avail themselves of the federal Investment Tax Credit, accelerated MACRS depreciation and the ownership of all environmental attributes (ie. RECs). Solscient provides comprehensive assistance on registration for all applicable incentives, public utility compliance and registration and minting of RECs.
