  • This symbol warns against adding liquid fuel the Bio-Burner while it is hot. The liquid fuel can ignite!
  • Risk of fire and injury when handling combustibles!
  • This product uses bioethanol liquid fuel! Bioethanol is a toxic and flammable liquid or gas and can cause irritation and health hazards.
  • Ignition can occur when SPIN is ignited, by other sources of ignition or if there is sufficient heat radiation.
  • Keep liquid fuel away from heat, sparks and open flames when not in use.
  • Liquid fuel may only be used outdoors and indoors only with adequate ventilation.
  • Avoid spilling liquid fuel by handling carefully. Thoroughly clean up and dispose of spilled liquid fuel.
  • Before each use, check the Bio-Burner for leaks or spilled liquid fuel.
  • Never extinguish liquid fuel fires with water! Have a Class B fire extinguisher or fire blanket on hand in case of an accident.
  • Observe national and regional regulations, ordinances, laws and other legally binding requirements of your place of residence for the storage and handling of highly flammable liquids. The requirements may vary depending on where you live.

FILLING THE BIO BURNER PICTURE B

Hofats-Spin-900-Bio-Burner-fig-1 \(2\) WARNING!

  • Fire hazard due to improper filling with liquid fuel!
  • Never fill liquid fuel directly into the body; otherwise, liquid fuel may leak out of the housing.
  • Never use the Bio-Burner without a SPIN! The Bio-Burner can tip over and liquid fuel can leak out.
  • Do not use the Bio-Burner if it is defective. Check the
  • Bio-Burner for defects, especially after a longer period of storage.
  • Before filling with liquid fuel, check the Bio-Burner for dirt or damage.
  • Insert the Bio-Burner into the body of your SPIN (Figure B1).
  • Fill the Bio-Burner with the liquid fuel suitable for your Bio-Burner up to the “max” mark (Figure B2).
  • NOTICE! – The use of fuels other than those recommended in the technical data can lead to undesirable formation of soot and uncontrolled flame formation.
  • Only fill the Bio-Burner with liquid fuels from höfats. This is the only way to ensure that it operates properly.

LIGHTING THE FIRE FIGURE C

Optional: Use Bio-Burner with Eco-Ring (Figure C1)

  • If you put the Eco-Ring on the Bio-Burner after filling, the flame is reduced a little and you save liquid fuel! This also means your SPIN will burn for longer.
  • CAUTION! Risk of burns from hot surfaces! Only touch the Eco-Ring when it has cooled down and not after a burning process.

Bio-Burner ignition

  • Light the Bio-Burner at the mesh with a stick lighter (Figure C2).

EXTINGUISHING THE BIO BURNER FIGURE D

Hofats-Spin-900-Bio-Burner-fig-1 \(4\)

  • To extinguish the Bio-Burner, grasp the extinguishing cover by the wire (Figure D1).
  • Then lower the cover into the glass cylinder until it rests on the Bio-burner (Figure D2).
  • Wait for the flame to go out and the SPIN to cool before re-igniting or moving the Bio-Burner in the SPIN.

AFTER EXTINGUISHING

After you have extinguished the Bio-Burner and all parts have cooled down, you can do the following:

  • Refill the Bio-Burner with liquid fuel and ignite.
  • Insert a new Bio-Burner into SPIN, fill it up and ignite.
  • Empty and discard any remaining fuel in the Bio-Burner. Observe the local/national regulations for the disposal of liquid fuels.

WARNING!

  • Danger of fire and deflagration due to fuel residues in the Bio-Burner.
  • Fuel residues in the Bio-Burner will also evaporate after extinguishing and can form a flammable mixture with air in the glass cylinder of the SPIN
  • Do not leave any residual fuel in the Bio-Burner when you are no longer using SPIN.
  • If possible, use up all the fuel in the Bio-Burner in one burn.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • To avoid contamination of the flame, you should clean the Bio-Burner regularly and before each use.
  • CAUTION! – Risk of burns from hot surfaces!
  • During operation, parts of the Bio-Burner become very hot and can cause burns!
  • Allow the Bio-Burner to cool down completely before cleaning.
  • Clean the Bio-Burner container regularly with a damp cloth.
  • Remove dirt from the cover of the Bio-Burner with a hair brush.

STORAGE

  • Do not expose the Bio-Burner to the weather.
  • When not in use, store the Bio-Burner in a dry, well-ventilated place protected from dust.
  • NOTICE! – Dust and dirt can impair the function of the Bio-Burner and cause soot to form when it is put into operation again!
  • After a long period of storage, first, remove dirt deposits and dust before using SPIN again.
  • Make sure all fuel is burned before storing the Bio-Burner!

DISPOSAL

  • Disposing of packaging
    • All materials used are environmentally friendly and recyclable. Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. You can find out about current disposal methods from your dealer or your local disposal facility.
