CLASSICAL PRINCIPLE WITH A GRID
You can use the höfats BBQ starter like you would use any other BBQ starter and still benefit from the advanced höfats ignition system.
HÖFATS PRINCIPLE WITHOUT A GRID
Using the höfats ignition approach, you don’t have to turn the BBQ starter
around, but only lift it.
You avoid flying sparks or ashes and benefit from a safer and more convenient
system compared to conventional BBQ starters.
WARNINGS BBQ STARTER
- For private use only!
- Only use the BBQ Starter outdoors in a well-ventilated place. Do not use the BBQ Starter in a garage, in a building, in connecting corridors between buildings or in any other enclosed locations.
- Do not use it in closed rooms, otherwise toxic vapours will accumulate which can lead to serious or even fatal injuries.
- ATTENTION! Children and pets should never be near the BBQ Starter without supervision.
- Do not wear clothes with loose sleeves while using the BBQ Starter.
- Never operate the BBQ Starter under roofs, shelters, etc., let alone under combustible roofs, shelters, etc.
- CAUTION DANGER TO LIFE! Do not use methylated spirits, petrol or other easily flammable liquids for lighting or relighting!
- Only use ignition aids according to EN 1860-3!
- Only use charcoal or barbecue briquettes that are certified according to DIN EN 1860-2.
- Only use the BBQ Starter to light charcoal or barbecue briquettes.
- Do not use the BBQ Starter in strong winds. Always wear suitable protective gloves (certified according to EN 388 and EN 407) when handling the fireplace, e.g. höftas grill gloves.
- When emptying the hot charcoal or barbecue briquettes, watch out for possible flying sparks.
- Do not use the BBQ Starter to heat up or cook spits.
- Make sure that the BBQ Starter is placed on a fireproof base. The BBQ starter may only be put into operation when it is standing securely on a straight surface, make sure that the BBQ starter has a secure stand and cannot fall over.
- After emptying the burning charcoal or grill briquettes, the BBQ Starter must be placed on a fireproof base again. The BBQ Starter may only be removed from the fireproof base when it has cooled down completely.
