OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

  • Keep the burner at arm’s length, away from the face, during ignition.
  • Flame can flare during ignition.
  • Do not attempt to light with the included pot or any other cookware on the burner.
  • Gas build-up can occur, resulting in increased flame eruption.
  • Never expose the stove to flammable vapors or liquids while lighting the burner.
  • It can cause an explosion or fire.
  • Do not heat the empty pot. The product will melt and potentially catch fire.
  • Do not move, lift, or tilt the stove with a lit burner. Product damage or injury can occur due to flaring.
  • Do not fill the pot with more than 500 milliliters of liquid. This may cause boil-over, resulting in injury.
  • If attempting to heat anything other than water, use care and stir frequently to avoid boilover or scorching, which may result in product damage or injury.
  • Always check that the burner is extinguished before disconnecting the fuel canister.
  • Do not use it for boiling oil or deep frying. Product damage or injury can occur due to overheating.
  • Do not use Stash Pot on other stove burners. Product damage or injury may occur due to overheating.
  • Do not squeeze the handle when pouring. A handle may unlock and spill hot pot contents, causing burning injury.

Lighting the Burner

  1. Ensure the burner base is free of any pot before lighting.
Gas build-up can occur, resulting in increased flame eruption.
NOTICE Performance may be suboptimal if used in extreme conditions (cold, hot, wind, altitude).

  2. Add contents to the pot, and cover it with a lid, but do not put the pot on the stove yet. Now you are ready to light the burner.

  3. Hold a lit match or lighter over top of the burner [Fig 8].

  4. Open the control valve [7.1] counterclockwise until the stove is lit and the valve is fully opened.

  5. If ignition does not occur within 5 seconds, close control valves and wait 5 minutes before repeating the procedure

WARNING Do not use the stove to warm the fuel canister. Can result in an explosion.

Usage

  1. If necessary, rotate the control valve (7.1) clockwise to decrease the flame setting.
  2. Once the burner is lit, carefully place the pot with its contents on the burner base, centered on pot supports (Fig 9 & 10).

CAUTION Use care when removing the lid. Steam and/or contents may be hot and can cause injury.

After Use

  1. Turn off the control valve (7.1) (tighten clockwise) to extinguish the flame.

  2. Remove pot from burner base – hold pot by the handle (9.1).
WARNING Exposed metal parts will be hot and may cause injury if touched.

  3. Always disconnect the fuel canister after use. Unscrew the fuel canister from the burner base (Fig 4), and replace the plastic fuel cap.

WARNING Always check that the burner is extinguished before disconnecting the fuel canister. Vapors can ignite and cause serious injury.

Packing

  1. Allow stove, pot, and lid to fully cool and dry before packing.
  2. Remove the stabilizer from the canister and fold it for storage (2.3).
  3. Fold pot support legs (2.4).
  4. Fold Valve bail under valve body (2.1).
  5. Refer to Figs 11 through 14 for packing contents into a pot.

  2. Ensure stove and pot are clean and dry before storing.
  3. Store the stove in a cool, dry location, indoors.

Maintenance

  1. Flame Check (Every use): The height of the flame should increase from low to high with counter-clockwise rotation of the control valve. The flame should be blue with no yellow tipping at full output. The flame should not flashback into the burner or lift off of the burner top. If flame abnormalities are found, see your dealer or contact Jetboil for service.
  2. Cleaning Pot (before storage, or as needed): Allow pot to cool before cleaning. Do not use a dishwasher or abrasive compounds (sand, salt, etc.) to clean. Only wash by hand with soapy water.

Troubleshooting

  1. Flame does not extinguish: Tighten the valve as much as possible, blow out the flame, and immediately detach the fuel source. See your dealer or contact Jetboil for service.
