WARNING
Installation MUST carry out by a qualified and licensed electrician.
IMPORTANT REMINDER

  1. The supply to the remote-control receiver must be connected through a mains switch, i.e. existing wall switch, to isolate the power.
  2. Disconnect from power supply at wall switch before working on remote control receiver or ceiling fan.
  3. Install receiver into the ceiling fan canopy of the fan to ensure proper protection (Do not install in ceiling cavity as this will void warranty).
  4. This unit is to be used for the control of a ceiling fan with a AC 230/240 V 50Hz power supply only.
  5. Do not install in damp locations or immerse into water (For indoor use only).
  6. Do not pull on or cut leads shorter.
  7. Do not drop or bump the unit.
  8. Please ensure plugs are in the correct position i.e. AC power input to the AC power and to the fan output of the fan. If in the incorrect position, receiver will be damaged, and will not be covered under warranty.
  9. PLEASE NOTE: The battery will weaken with age and should be replaced regularly before leaking takes place as this will damage the transmitter. Dispose of used battery properly, keep the battery out of reach of children. Leaking batteries are not covered under warranty.
  10. CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire or injury, do not use this product in conjunction with any variable (rheostat) wall control.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Incorrect wire connection will damage the receiver.
Ensure main power (240V) is turned off when installing the receiver as a voltage surge may blow the circuit board.
Insert the receiver into the drop rod hanging bracket and use the canopy to cover the receiver and bracket.
NB: Ensure the wires are tucked away to avoid canopy rupturing the wires and causing a short circuit.

PROGRAMMING

The Hand Held Remote Control System is equipped with a learning frequency function which has code combinations to prevent potential interference from other remote units.

  1. Install the AAA 1.5V*2 batteries. Within 30 seconds of turning the Receivers AC power ON. Press the transmitter’s “LEARN” key.
  2. Hold the “LEARN” key for over 2 seconds, once the receiver has detected the frequency, Light will lash 2 times which indicates that learning process finished.

NB: The transmitter can be programmed to one or more receivers, so during the programming process, please refrain from attempting to program multiple receivers at the same time. Please ensure power s switched off for all/any additional receivers that are installed in the same premises when wanting to individually pair a desired transmitter to a particular receiver. Failure to ensure power is off for all other receivers may result in the transmitter being paired to all receivers instead.

FUNCTIONS OF TRANSMITTER

HIGH – Turn on the fan at high speed
MED – Turn on the fan at medium speed
LOW – Turn on the fan at low speed
OFF – Turn off the ceiling fan.
LIGHT ON/OFF Press and release immediately to turn on or off the light (if the light is step dim enabled the light will drop one level).
1H TIMER- Ceiling fan will turn off after 1 hour automatically.
2H TIMER- Ceiling fan will turn off after 2 hours automatically.
4H TIMER- Ceiling fan will turn off after 4 hours automatically.
8H TIMER- Ceiling fan will turn off after 8 hours automatically.
LIGHT- Press light button “on” and “off” repeatedly to operate the light function of your ceiling fan lighting (if applicable).

MP WIFI Pairing Instruction

Please follow the nstructions below to pair with a smart phone:
Step 1

Finish the installation of the fan and the receiver as illustrated in the other Manual.
Step 2
Connect your smart phone with 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi Hold your phone and stand as close to the fan as applicable to test the WIFI signal. If 2 or more bars are seen, proceed to step 4.
Step 3

When Wi-Fi is not available or not strong enough, please use another phone as a hot-spot Wi-Fi.
Step 4

Scan this QR code to download the Smart Life app. Alternatively, you can search “Smart Life” in APP store.
Step 5
Open the Smart Life APP, follow the instructions In the APP to register your account.
You will need an email address to do so.
Step 6

Find “Add Device” from the homepage, click “Add Device”.
Step 7

Wait for about 20 s to 1 min, the device will be discovered. If the device is not showing up, turn off/on the power of the fan 5-times. Then repeat this step.
Step 8

Click “Add”, then click “+” to add the device
Step 9

Choose the desired Wi-Fi network (must be 2.4Ghz), then enter the password to add the fan into the Wi-Fi network.
Step 10

Wait until the fan is added, it may take up to 2 mins depending on the phone.
Step 11

When the fan is successfully added, a little green tick will show up. You can then rename the device. Click “done to finish.

The fan Is now added Into your smart home network and can be controlled via a smart phone.
When the Wi-Fi network is disconnected the fan can still be controlled by the same smart phone via bluetooth.
Note:
You can share the access of the fan to another “Smart Life” app user via “Share” function within the app..
To remove the device from the current phone, click “remove device”. Alternatively, turn off/on the fan 5 times to remove the device.
