General Instructions

PLEASE, TAKE TIME TO READ WELL THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE PARTICULARLY BEFORE THE FIRST USE.

A misuse of the appliance can damage it or hurt the user. Assure that you use the appliance for the use for which it is designed; we refuse any responsibilities as for the damages by an incorrect use or a bad manipulation.

  1. This product must only be used as intended in accordance with the enclosed operating instructions.
  2. Do not carry the appliance by the mains cable or pull the cable to remove the plug from the socket.
  3. If the adaptor is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a danger (*).
  4. CAUTION: When recharging the battery, use only the power supply unit < JDTA06E-030-100 > removable power unit supplied with the unit.
  5. If the appliance stops unexpectedly or appears to malfunction, switch off the power supply, unplug from the mains and stop using use immediately. Seek professional advice to rectify the fault or make repairs.
  6. Switch off the power supply or unplug from the mains socket when not in use, before cleaning or changing accessories.
  7. Avoid positioning the appliance where the adaptor might be accidentally trapped or damaged.
  8. Keep the appliance and adaptor away from sources of heat, sharp objects or anything that may cause damage.
  9. Ensure the appliance is switched OFF before connecting to the mains power supply.
  10. To protect against electric shock, never allow the appliance the mains cable or plug to come into contact with water or any other liquid.
  11. Never reach for any appliance that has fallen into water. Switch off the power supply at the mains immediately and unplug. Do not re use until the product has been inspected and approved by a qualified electrician.
  12. Always ensure that hands are dry before operating or adjusting any switch on the product or touching the plug and mains supply connection
  13. Never leave the appliance unattended when connected to the mains power supply.
  14. To disconnect, first ensure that all controls are in the OFF position, and then remove the plug from the electricity supply.
  15. Where relevant keep all ventilation slots, filters uncovered and clear of debris. Never drop or insert objects into the openings.
  16. Do not use outdoors. This appliance has been designed for domestic indoor use only to use the appliance
  17. Manicure and pedicure can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  18. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  19. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  20. Manicure and pedicure can be used by children aged from 3 years under supervision.
  21. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of external timer or separate remote control system.
  22. The appliance is only to be used with the unit provided.
  23. The manicure pen contains a battery that cannot be replaced CAUTION: Keep the unit dry. CAUTION: Do not use this unit near bathtubs, showers, sinks or other receptacles containing water.
  24. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
    • farm houses
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
    • bed and breakfast type environments
      Competent qualified electrician: after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician.

The storage box is used with two AA batteries which are not included The battery compartment is on the back of the unit. It is not advisable to insert batteries to use the blower function when the unit is plugged in.

  • Open the battery compartment and insert the batteries, observing the correct polarity
  • Do not mix different types of batteries or new and used batteries;
  • Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity;
  • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged
  • Exhausted batteries must be removed from the device and disposed of safely;
  • if the unit is to be stored without being used for a long period of time, the batteries should be removed;
  • the power supply terminals must not be shorted.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE

TO KNOW BEFORE USE:

  • This device should only be used on the hands (manicure) and feet (pedicure).
  • Never press hard on the surface of the nail to be treated.
  • Do not use the device in the bathroom as the effectiveness may be limited due to humidity.
  • It is important to keep a thin layer of callus to maintain a natural skin barrier.

HOW TO USE YOUR MANICURE & PEDICURE SET

  • Plug the adapter into the mains outlet, checking first that the voltage on the rating plate corresponds to the mains outlet that is to be used.
  • Now your Manicure & Pedicure Set is ready for use.
  • Choose one of the interchangeable attachments with the product and start your treatment by applying the 2-speed switch.

Warning : never use non-rechargeable batteries

EXCHANGE OF ACCESSORIES

  • To connect the accessory to the unit, attach it to the manicure pen with a light touch.
  • To change it, turn off the pen. Then simply remove the accessory from the manicure pen.

NAIL TREATMENT – MANICURE

  • Carefully clean your hands.
  • Choose your attachment and start filing and polishing.
  • Once you’re done, rinse your fingers in warm water and dry them again with the dry towel.
  • Using the special cuticle attachment, push the cuticles to create a clean nail outline.
  • Apply hand cream or moisturizer (not included) and use the fine grain cone (9) or thick grain disc (6/7) to smooth the nail surface and remove cuticles around the nail.
  • Apply the polishing cone (13) on the edge of the nails to file the sharp edges.
  •  Rinse and dry your nails.

FILING

  • Place the silver filing disc in your hand held device.
  • Switch the unit on and file your nails using small circular motions. Make sure the nail is filed in one direction.
  • To finish, buff your nail with the polishing disc ensuring a smooth shiny finish. You can remove calloused and other hard skin areas with the callous file (one for rough skin and the other one is for less rough skin), by slowly moving it evently over the callous area. If you have a problem with grooves and cracks in the nail, you can make the surface of the nail smoother with the polishing disc. Be careful not to file away too much nail surface.

POLISHING

  • Apply enough nail polishing cream to coat the nail thinly (not supplied) to your nail.Try not to have it touching your cutiles.
  • Insert the polishing tool on the appliance and polish nail for a maximum of 15 seconds. PEDICURE
  • First soak your feet in warm water, for a few minutes and dry carefully. Before filing the toe nails, it is best to separate the toes with a wad of cotton wool.
  • Filing and polishing is the same for toe nails as finger nails.

NAIL DRYER

  • The dryer works when plugged in or with batteries not included.
  • Plug the unit in or place the batteries in the slot.
  • Then place your polished nails, one hand at a time, in the “nail dryer”.
  • With a slight pressure the ventilation will start.
  • Keep the pressure in the dryer for several minutes.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

  • Before cleaning the unit, make sure the power adapter is unplugged.
  • The power adapter provided was designed specifically for your manicure and pedicure unit. Do not use it with other equipment.
  • If it is damaged, it must be replaced with a genuine adapter.
  • Avoid dropping the unit to prevent damage to internal parts.
  • Always unplug the adapter before cleaning.
  • Never use liquids or abrasive products to clean the unit’s housing and surface. Wipe with a damp cloth.
  • The tips can be cleaned with a cloth lightly moistened with alcohol. Then dry them thoroughly.
