This doorbell chime features an integrated power module compatible with most
wired smart doorbells.

Safety Information:
- Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries in a single device to prevent leakage or explosions.
- Avoid disposing of batteries in a fire. Keep batteries away from small children to prevent ingestion.
- The default code for the doorbell chime is 12E. Ensure compatibility with the wireless doorbell button code before syncing.
Syncing the Doorbell Chime Base and Wireless Doorbell Button:
- Press and release the sync button on the base.
- Hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
- Sync the base and doorbell buttons following the instructions in the manual.
Doorbell Chime Code Conversion and Low Battery Notification:
If the code of the doorbell button and chime is consistent, re-sync after code
conversion. Replace batteries when the chime sounds Ding-Dong 5 times after
pressing the button.
Troubleshooting – Wired Doorbell Button:
Solutions for common issues:
- Ensure correct battery installation.
- Check and replace dead batteries.
- Test transformer voltage output with a volt meter.
- Check the proper working of the doorbell button and chime.
Note:

- All electrical work must be under national and local electrical codes. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
- For wired installations, this doorbell chime requires a 16 volt AC transformer with a 10-watt or greater rating AND requires 3 “C” alkaline batteries.
- For wireless-only installations, this doorbell chime base requires 3 “C” alkaline batteries.

VERIFYING THE TRANSORMER POWER RATING
- WARNING: This doorbell chime requires a low-voltage electrical connection. Do not connect directly to 120V AC
- Power must be supplied from a 16-volt AC, 10-watt or greater transformer. To test the transformer output, see Troubleshooting

REMOVING THE EXISTING DOORBELL CHIME
- Remove the cover from the existing doorbell chime and label all wires with masking tape before disconnecting:
- “F” – Front door doorbell button wire
- “T” – Transformer wire
- “R” – Rear door doorbell button wire (if applicable)
- Disconnect all wires from the existing doorbell chime and remove the doorbell chime from the mounting surface.

MOUNTING THE DOORBELL CHIME BASE
- Route the wires through the wire entrance hole in the doorbell chime base.
- Using the “UP” arrow indicator, place the doorbell chime base against the wall and mark the four screw hole locations.
- Drill four 7/32 in. (5.5 mm) pilot holes and insert wall anchors.
- Attach the doorbell chime base to the mounting surface using the four screws and tighten it securely.

WIRING THE DOORBELL CHIME BASE
- Connect the doorbell chime wires to the doorbell chime base:
- Wire “F” to screw terminal “FRONT”
- Wire “T” to screw terminal “TRANS”
- Wire “R” to screw terminal “REAR”
- Snap the doorbell chime cover onto the doorbell chime base.
NOTE:
To remove the doorbell chime cover after the doorbell chime base is mounted, firmly grasp the doorbell chime cover and pull.

- Whether the doorbell chime base is connected to transformer wires or not, make sure to install 3 alkaline“C”batteries (not included) into the doorbell chime base.
- Make sure batteries are installed according to the diagram inside the chime

SYNCING THE DOORBELL CHIME BASE AND WIRELESS DOORBELL BUTTON (NOT INCLUDED)
- Refer to the manual included with the wireless doorbell button for additional information.
- Press and release the“SYNC” button on the doorbell chime base.
- Press the doorbell button within 10 seconds.
- The doorbell chime will play a “beep-beep” tone to indicate the doorbell button is synced.
- Press and release the doorbell button to verify the doorbell base and doorbell button are synced.
NOTE: The default code for the doorbell chime is 12E. If the wireless doorbell button (not included) is compatible with both the 100M and 12E codes, please refer to the doorbell button manual to ensure the code of the doorbell button matches the code of the doorbell chime before syncing. To convert the doorbell chime code, please refer to operation step 4.

TESTING THE DOORBELL BUTTON AND DOORBELL CHIME
- Temporarily position the doorbell button and doorbell chime where they will be mounted.
- Press the doorbell button to verify the doorbell chime and doorbell button work properly.
- If the doorbell chime does not sound, move the doorbell chime closer to the doorbell button and test again.
- NOTE: Do not permanently mount the doorbell button and doorbell chime until the doorbell button and doorbell chime are working properly.
- NOTE: The range of the wireless doorbell chime can vary with location, temperature, and battery condition. Test the doorbell button to ensure the doorbell chime and doorbell buttons are working properly.

MOUNTING THE DOORBELL CHIME BASE
- Using the “UP” arrow indicator, place the doorbell base against the wall and mark the four screw hole locations.

ADJUSTING THE DOORBELL BASE VOLUME
- Remove the doorbell cover from the doorbell base. The doorbell cover is press-fitted to the doorbell base.
- The doorbell base has an adjustable volume control. Rotate the volume control to adjust the volume.

SELECTING A TUNE FOR A WIRED DOORBELL BUTTON
The doorbell chime allows you to customize your doorbell chime tunes. The doorbell chime has 16 pre-loaded selectable tunes.- Press and release the “Tune” button on the doorbell chime until the desired “FRONT” tune is heard.
- Note: The doorbell button connected to the “REAR” terminal will only play “Ding-Dong”. The doorbell button connected to the “FRONT” terminal can play any of the 16 selectable tunes

SELECTING A TUNE FOR A WIRELESS DOORBELL BUTTON
The doorbell chime allows you to customize your doorbell chime tunes. The doorbell chime has sixteen pre-loaded selectable tunes.-
Press and release the “Tune” button until the desired tune is heard.

While the desired tune is playing, press the doorbell button to lock in the selected tune.

Each wireless doorbell button can be assigned its unique tune.

DOORBELL CHIME CODE CONVERSION AND LOW BATTERY NOTIFICATION
Code conversion- The doorbell chime default code pattern is 12E
- After being powered on for 3 seconds, the doorbell will sound “Ding-Dong”, it indicates that the code pattern is 12E code. Press and hold the “Tune” button and “Sync” button of the doorbell at the same time within 1 minute for about 10 seconds, and then you will hear the prompt sound “beep-beep”, after releasing the buttons, the doorbell will play “Ding” which indicates that the doorbell has been converted to the 100M code. In this pattern, we should use the 100M code doorbell button to sync and pair.
- After powered on for 3 seconds, the doorbell will sound “Ding”, indicating that the code pattern is 100M code, press and hold the “Tune” button and “Sync” button of the doorbell at the same time within 1 minute for about 10 seconds, and then you will hear the prompt sound “beep-beep”, after releasing the buttons, the doorbell will play “Ding-Dong” which indicates that the doorbell has been converted to the 12E code. In this pattern, we should use the 12E code doorbell button to sync and pair.
Note:
Only if the code of the doorbell button and doorbell chime is consistent, the
doorbell button and doorbell chime will be working properly, and you need to
re-sync and pair after code conversion.
Low battery notification
After pressing the doorbell button, the synced doorbell chime sounds “Ding-
Dong” 5 times, this indicates that the doorbell chime batteries are low and
you will need to replace them with new batteries.
TROUBLESHOOTING
WIRED DOORBELL BUTTON
PROBLEM #1
The doorbell chime does not sound with a wired installation.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
- A. The batteries are not installed correctly.
- B. The batteries are dead.
- C. The transformer may not be working properly.
- D. The doorbell button may not be working properly.
- E. The doorbell chime may not be working properly.
SOLUTION:
- A. Make sure the 3 “C” batteries are installed according to the diagram inside the doorbell chime.
- B. Check the charge of the doorbell chime batteries and replace them if necessary.
- C. Test transformer voltage output with a volt meter. Set the volt meter to read AC voltage. The voltage on the low voltage side of the transformer when the doorbell is NOT playing should read:
- D. Remove the doorbell button that is not working from the door frame. Disconnect the wires from the terminals and touch the bare wires together. If the doorbell chime sounds, the doorbell button is defective. Replace the doorbell button.
- E. Make sure no extra power module is installed on the doorbell chime while working with the camera doorbell. Disconnect the wire from the terminal marked “TRANS”. While someone presses the doorbell button at the front door, quickly touch the “TRANS” wire to the terminal marked “FRONT”. You will see a small spark if the doorbell button, wiring, and transformer are operating properly. Repeat the steps for the “REAR” terminal and the rear doorbell button. If the wiring between the transformer and the doorbell button(s) checks out properly, please call 1-888-543-1388 for assistance.
WIRELESS DOORBELL BUTTON
PROBLEM #1
The doorbell chime does not sound with a wireless installation.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
- A. The batteries are not installed correctly.
- B. The batteries are dead.
- C. The doorbell button and doorbell chime are not synced.
- D. The code of the doorbell button doesn’t match the code of the doorbell chime.
SOLUTION:
- A. Make sure the batteries are installed according to the diagram inside the doorbell button and doorbell chime.
- B. Check the charge of the doorbell button and doorbell chime batteries and replace them if necessary.
- C. Sync the doorbell button and doorbell chime:
- Press and hold the “Tune” button on the doorbell chime until the doorbell chime prompts a “beep-beep.”
- Press the doorbell button within 10 seconds. The doorbell chime will prompt a “beep-beep” tone to indicate the doorbell button is synced.
- Press the doorbell button to ensure operation.
- D. Ensure the code of the doorbell button matches the code of the doorbell chime. To ensure operation, they will both need to be in 100M code or 12E code. Refer to Operation Step 4 for the doorbell chime code conversion. Refer to the doorbell button manual for the doorbell button code conversion.
PROBLEM #2
The batteries seem okay, but the doorbell chime does not work after
installation.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
- A. The doorbell chime or doorbell button is mounted on metal or near metal studs.
- B. The doorbell chime is mounted near a concrete floor or wall.
- C. The doorbell chime and doorbell button are installed too far apart.
SOLUTION:
- A. Metal reduces transmission range. Use 1/4 in. to 1/2 in. (6 to 13 mm) wood shims to move the doorbell chime or doorbell button away from the metal surface.
- B. Concrete may reduce range. Move the doorbell chime away from the concrete surface.
- C. Locate the doorbell chime closer to the doorbell button.
PROBLEM #3
The doorbell chime sounds when not intended (false triggers).
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
A. The doorbell chime is receiving interference from another wireless
device.
SOLUTION 1:
A. Convert the doorbell button and chime to 100M code (see
troubleshooting – wireless doorbell button, problem #1, solution D) and re-
sync the doorbell button and doorbell chime. (See troubleshooting-wireless
doorbell button, Problem #1, Solution C for syncing.)
SOLUTION 2:
- A. If the doorbell button and doorbell chime are in the 12E code, follow the below instructions:
- Remove the doorbell button battery. Wait 30 seconds.
- Press and hold the doorbell button for 10 to 15 seconds within 60 seconds after installing the battery into the doorbell button.
- Press and hold the “Tune” button on the doorbell chime until the doorbell chime prompts a “beep-beep-beep-beep.”
- Re-sync the doorbell button and doorbell chime. (See troubleshooting-wireless doorbell button, Problem #1, Solution C for syncing.)
