Please read this entire manual before use, including all warnings. Keep this manual for future reference.

POWER ON/OFF:

  • Please fully charge the battery before use (see following section, Charging the Battery).
  • Turn the unit on via the On/Off volume switch on the top of the unit.
  • The unit will run off the internal battery power until the battery is discharged.
  • The unit can operate while the battery is charging.
  • The unit will not function if the battery is fully drained.

CHARGING YOUR SPEAKER

  • WARNING! Never fall asleep or leave the unit unattended while charging the battery.
  • Connect a USB Micro 5VDC/1A power adaptor to the USB micro jack on the top of the unit via the included USB Micro-USB-A cable.
  • The Power LED on the top of the unit will illuminate Red during charging.
  • The LED will turn off after charging is completed or change depending on the set mode.
  • The charge time is approximately 2-4 hours.
  • Disconnect the power adaptor when the battery has been charged.
  • NOTE: The unit will function as normal during charging.

PAIRING DEVICES TO THE SPEAKER

  • Make sure that the Bluetooth function is available on your device.
  • Turn on the speaker by turning the volume control knob.
  • Keep the distance between your device and the speaker within 3 feet (for pairing only).
  • Activate the Bluetooth function on your device and search for available devices.
  • Select “Xtreme XBS9-1074” from the devices list and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the pairing process.
  • After successfully pairing the speaker to your device, a tone will sound.
  • Once paired, open a music app of your choice, and enjoy!
  • Adjust the volume on the top of the speaker, r via the wireless remote.
  • Note: After successfully pairing once, the devices will remember each other.

CONTROLLING THE SPEAKER’S LIGHTS:

  • Press and hold the mode/light button to turn the speaker’s lights ON/OFF.
  • NOTE: The LED lights flash through a preset pattern and are not sound-reactive or adjustable.

MODE OPERATIONS

Press the “Mode” button on the remote control or the “M” button on the top of the speaker to change modes. The speaker will sound out what mode is selected. Depending on certain modes that require external devices to be connected, whilst switching modes, that mode may be skipped because nothing is connected and detected.

Bluetooth Mode
Stream audio from your smartphone, TV or other Bluetooth-enabled device to the speaker. See Pairing instructions for more information on device pairing. Use the remote control or playback control on the speaker.

FM Mode
Select your desired station with the remote control or via the top of the speaker.

USB Mode

  • Load MP3 files directly on the USB drive.
  • Connect the USB drive to the USB port.
  • The unit should automatically switch to USB mode, or you can manually change modes.
  • Playback your MP3s by using the controls on the top of the unit or via the remote control.

Flash Mode

  • Load MP3 files directly on the Flash drive.
  • Connect the Flash drive to the Flash port.
  • The unit should automatically switch to Flash mode, or you can manually change modes.
  • Playback your MP3s by using the controls on the top of the unit or via the remote control.

Aux Input Mode

  • Connect a 3.5mm TRS cable between the Aux input on the top of the unit and the source playback device.
  • Manually control playback via the source device.
  • With the speaker volume set to a lower level, perhaps to 25%, slowly raise the source volume before the audio begins to distort and back off slightly to avoid overloading the speaker. Now you can adjust the volume of the speaker to your liking. Microphone Input
  • Connect the included microphone via the included XLR to ¼” XLR cable between the microphone and the microphone input on the top of the speaker.
  • Raise the volume of the mic level, by adjusting the mic gain knob on the top of the speaker.
  • Echo Effect: Add echo to the microphone source by the Echo knob on the top of the speaker.

Equalizer

  • The equalizer changes the sound characteristics of the speaker output
  • Press the “EQ” button on the remote to switch between the various preset EQ modes.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read and understand all instructions before using this product. If damage is caused by failure to follow the instructions, this warranty is null and void. Keep these instructions for future reference.

  • Loud sounds can cause serious and permanent hearing loss, always use caution.
  • Do not stare at LED’s.
  • Do not operate the unit other than as stated in this manual.
  • Do not leave the device unattended while charging or in use.
  • Disconnect the charging cable as soon as charging is complete.
  • Do not sleep while the device is charging:
  • Do not drop, puncture, or disassemble this product.
  • Do not expose this product to moisture of any kind including water or any other type of liquid.
  • Do not expose this product to dirt, sand, or similar matter.
  • Avoid long exposure to direct sunlight, which may cause damage.
  • Do not expose this product to open flames.
  • Do not use the product in a strong magnetic field.
  • Use a clean, soft cloth to clean. Do not use any corrosive cleaners/oils to clean.
  • Do not attempt to repair the device or open the unit as this will void the warranty.
  • This product contains a non-replaceable rechargeable lithium-ion battery. When discarding, follow your local / state guidelines.
  • Do not charge, or use, the product if it has been submerged in water, or if water has got inside the product.
  • Do not expose the product to heat sources, the sun, flames, or fire or leave in a hot vehicle.
  • Do not expose the product to extremely high or low temperatures. Use this product in a location with a temperature of 32°F – 95°F. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold reduces battery longevity. Exposure to fire or temperatures above 170°F could cause serious damage and explosion.
  • Do not place anywhere where the product would become crushed or punctured.
  • Please refer to charging adaptor instructions and warnings before using this product.
  • This product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children or those that require supervision.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the unit.

Note:
Lithium-ion batteries will self-discharge over time, and it is normal for battery pertormance to decline after several years of usage. To ensure time. If left in a discharged fare for too long, a liniumtan battery win of not have the ability to be recharged.

ONE YEAR WARRANTY

Xtreme warrants its products for ONE YEAR against defects in manufacturing under regular consumer use with the original receipt of retail purchase. We believe in our products and want to provide you with a replacement if needed, but we have to know about the problem while the product is still under warranty. If you discover a defect covered by this warranty, please contact us about receiving a replacement. To use the product’s warranty the customer must provide proof of the retailer’s receipt. *Any customers outside of the U.S. will be responsible for shipping and handling charges if a replacement is required that is not due to a manufacturing defect.

Xtreme’s warranty is limited to our products only. Our warranty does not cover the replacement or repair cost of any third-party accessory, electronic device or personal property.
