Do all garage door openers have a Learn button?
Most standard garage door remotes today use rolling code technology and a learn button on the garage door opener motor. The learn button allows you to erase the code on the unit and reset it so that your remotes and the buttons in your car will open the door.
Can you turn off garage door sensors?
If your sensors or garage door motor is blinking or your door doesn’t close, it’s a sign you could have faulty sensors. Luckily, you can set most automatic garage doors to a manual mode to bypass the sensors. You can also disconnect the sensors altogether, but doing this will prevent most garage doors from working.

How do you program a garage door opener without a Learn button?
Use the keypad to input your preferred Personal Identification Number (PIN), then press the “Enter” button and watch for the controller or the keypad light to flash or glow. Test the keypad PIN to see if the garage door opener operates correctly.
