Why am I not able to register my mobile device to my DVR when I am away from home?

If you see the “We couldn’t register your mobile device” error message, it could be due to an error registering your mobile device to your Wi-Fi network.

Note: You must be register your device while at home and on the same Wi- Fi network as your receiver.

If you’re at home and connected to the same network as your device:

  • Wi-Fi bandwidth may be too low.
  • There may be a connection error. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the DIRECTV App.
