- Directly connect the device to the system instead of using the USB hub or Mouse dock.
Troubleshooting
My game stutters when using Razer Viper 8KHz at higher polling rates.
Games that are not yet optimized to utilize high polling rate inputs may stutter or drop frames as game developers have yet to update the game to accommodate higher polling rate inputs. In the meantime, if you are experiencing this issue, there is a nifty feature in Synapse that allows you to switch the mouse settings by game, where you may use a lower polling rate setting.
My Razer mouse is not reporting up to 8000Hz polling rate on 3rd party
test sites.
Most online tools today are not capable of accurately tracking higher than a 1000Hz polling rate. The mouse needs to have over 8000 pixels of motion to generate 8000 reports (1 report requires a minimum of 1 pixel of motion). Regardless of the number of reports, the Razer Viper 8KHz still provides the competitive edge by reporting motion data to your computer within 125us intervals, as compared to 1ms intervals with 1000Hz mice.
Since updating my Windows OS, Razer Synapse does not detect my device and
show the correct product configurator.
If you encounter this issue, please update Synapse 3 through Settings > Check for Updates. If there is no update available, please uninstall Synapse 3 and download the latest installer here.
My Razer peripheral will not work properly when used with a KVM switch.
We recommend plugging your Razer product directly into your PC. KVM switches are known to cause interruptions in communications between devices and PCs. If your Razer product works when plugged directly into the computer, then it is working correctly and the issue is most likely due to the KVM switch.
I am having trouble dragging windows from one monitor to another.
For a better experience, please refer to the recommendations below:
- Disable the “Snap Window” feature from Windows Settings.
- Reduce device polling rate for productivity.
