Installation

  • Choose the right place to install your carbon monoxide detector
  • Insert the supplied batteries into the detector.
  • Pay attention to the plus and minus!
  • The carbon monoxide detector gives a signal and the green LED flashes continuously for 60 seconds to indicate that the carbon monoxide detector is starting up. The display shows the number of seconds remaining.
  • When the start-up procedure is complete, the CO Alarm goes into wake-up mode:
  • The green LED flashes 1 time every 40 seconds
  • When placing the CO Alarm on a desk or nightstand, slide it onto the mounting bracket until you hear a click.
  • If you place the carbon monoxide detector on the wall or ceiling, attach the base plate with the supplied plugs and screws, then slide the detector onto the base plate until you hear a click.
  • Test your carbon monoxide detector by pressing the test button
    • The green “power” LED light flashes 1 time
    • The orange “fault” LED light flashes 1 time
    • The red “alarm” LED light flashes 1 time

  • Your carbon monoxide detector is now installed.

Function and meaning of light and sound signals

Normal situation:

  • The green LED light flashes once every 40 seconds
  • The LCD screen alternately displays the ambient temperature in degrees Celsius and the concentration of carbon monoxide in PPM from 20 PPM every 40 seconds

CO alarm:

  • When the CO concentration (PPM) in the room is too high, the carbon monoxide will alarm as follows:
    • 30 PPM: Alarm after 120 minutes
    • 50 PPM: Alarm between 60 and 90 minutes
    • 100 PPM: Alarm between 10 and 40 minutes
    • 300 PPM : Alarm within 3 minutes
