Important Notices
- Do not leave safe unattended while open.
- Keep Children away from safe.
- Keep your safe locked and closed at all times when not in use.
- Place your safe in a cool and dry location.
- Remember to record the serial number of your safe from the tag on the back of your safe. You will need this serial number for all warranty or customer service.
- Electronic medial, photographic medial and all audio-visual media should not be stored in the safe for fire protection.
Warning
Safe must be secured as detailed in these instructions. Failure to secure the safe can result in death or serious injury.

OPENING THE SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Insert the backup key into the keyhole and turn clockwise until the door automatically opens.
WARNING: Do not store your back up keys inside the safe.
NOTE: You must turn the key back to the locked position before you are
able to close and lock the cover.
BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT
- Open the battery compartment cover, carefully insert 4 AA batteries (included) into the battery compartment. Follow the positive (+) and negative (-) guides in the compartment.
- Snap the battery cover back into place.
Note:- During the use of safe, Red light flashing indicates low battery.
RECORDING YOUR FINGERPRINTS
When you first receive your safe there are no recorded fingerprints. Any fingerprint will open the safe until a fingerprint is recorded.You can record up to 20 different fingerprints for opening the safe. If you enter more than 20 fingerprints, the red light will flash 5 times and there will be 5 audible beeps (if the sound is turned on).
- To record a fingerprint,first press the red reset button on the inside of the safe. The scanner will turn white and blue light flashes twice with 2 audible beeps (if the sound is turned on),you will then record the same finger three times as follows:
- Place your finger on the scanner until there is 1 audible beep (if the sound is turned on) and the green light flashes once. Lift your finger off the scanner.
- Place the same finger on the scanner for a second time,holding the finger in the same position until there is audible beep (if the sound is turned on) and the green light flashes once. Lift your finger off the scanner.
- Place the same finger on the scanner for a third time,holding the finger in the same position until there are 2 audible beeps (if the sound is turned on) and the green light flashes twice. Lift your finger off the scanner. Your fingerprint is now recorded.
- If the red light flashes 3 times with 3 audible beeps (if the sound is turned on) your fingerprint did not get recorded and you will have to start over.
OPENING THE SAFE USING YOUR FINGERPRINTS
- To open the safe, press the scanner with a recorded finger. The scanner will be lighted in white and the scan will begin.
- If the green light flashes twice audible beeps (if the sound is turned on), the scan has been accepted and the safe will open with inside LED light turned on for 60 seconds.
- If the red flashes once, the scanner did not read your fingerprint and you must try again. If the red light flashes 3 times, the scanner red your fingerprint but rejected it.
NOTE: If there are 3 rejected scans and the red light flashes 5 times
with 5 audible beeps (if the sound is turned on), the alarm lasts 10 seconds,
you will have an automatic lockout for 60 seconds before you can try a scan
again.
If there is 1 more rejected scan and the red light flashes 5 times with 5
audible beeps (if the sound is turned on), the alarm lasts 30 seconds, you
will have an automatic lockout for 5 minutes before you can try a scan again.
If there is 1 audible beep with the green light flashing, the lockout period
is over.
LOCKING THE SAFE
To lock your safe, simply push the cover closed until locked.
CLEARING THE MEMORY
To clear the memory of all recorded fingerprints, press the reset button and hold for about 5 seconds until the green light flashes 10 times with 10 audible beeps (if the sound is turned on). All recorded scans will be erased.
TURNING THE KEYPAD SOUND OFF/ON
Your safe comes with the audible sound turned on.
To turn the sound off, press the scanner with a recorded fingerprint for 10
seconds until the green light flashes twice.
To turn the sound on, press the scanner with a recorded fingerprint until you
hear 2 audible beeps and the green light flashes twice.
Note: Alarm cannot be disabled.
WARRANTY
LOCK AND PAINTED SURFACE WARRANTY
Locks and painted surfaces are warranted to be free from defects in
workmanship and materials for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
Heritage Security Products takes seriously its obligation to stand behind its
product with this warranty as long as the safe is properly installed and cared
for as instructed in the Owner’s Instruction Manual. The warranty does not
apply to safes or parts that have been misused, neglected or subjected to
unusual or extreme conditions and/or environments, or to unreasonable wear and
tear. Changing or modifying the safe in ways that affect its intended use will
void this warranty. The safe must be registered within 60 days of the purchase
and must be on file at the time of the incident.
Limitation of Remedies: In no case shall Heritage Security Products be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages based upon breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict tort, or any other legal theory. Such revenue, loss of the contents of the safe or vault door, loss of use of the safe or vault door, or any associated equipment, cost of capital, cost of any substitute equipment, facilities or services, downtime, the claims of third parties including customers, and injury to property.
Heritage Security Products provides this warranty in place of all other warranties and assurances whether expressed or implied. Heritage Security Products accepts no liability for incidental or consequential damage or loss by anyone as a result of using this safe.
This warranty is only applicable to the Safe itself and does not extend
to the contents of the Safe. For optimal security and protection, safes
should be bolted down. Please refer to your Instruction Sheet for details on
anchoring your safe.
