Product Introduction

The GREE G series fan coil unit is a new generation of the ultra-thin horizontal concealed product, functioning for both cooling and heating, with a compact structure, 235mm in height and 490mm in depth. As it can be installed in a quite simple way and requires small installation space, it is widely applicable to public places. On request, either the FP/FPE series for standing cooling or the FPD/FPED series for district cooling is available.

Casing

The standard casing of the main unit is made of high-quality hot-dip galvanized sheets. It is fabricated with high-accuracy and shaped in a whole piece. The machine-made stamping process will reduce the possibility of injuries caused by sharp edges of the metal sheet during transport. It is good-looking and is of excellent insulation performance with the flexible foaming rubber inside.

Option: hot-dip galvanized sheet (oil coated) + weather-proof power coated, 1500h moisture-proof and heat-proof, applicable to high-temperature and high-humidity applications.

Motor

Capacitor-starting three-speed AC motor, the motor casing is designed for water-proof and dust-proof performance and improved reliability. The T-shaped speed control design will enhance its anti-harmonic capacity. The maintenance- free and enclosed structure for the bearing can provide more than 30,000 hours service life. For guaranteeing its safety and reliability, the motor will undergo multiple tests on the harmonic, the frequency sweep, and temperature rise of the windings before delivery. Besides, the motor support is of the high-strength structure which will be approved through the drop-off and stacking tests.

A permanent magnetic brushless EC motor increases the efficiency of over 30%, compared to an AC motor. We develop a constant torque technology to adaptively make up the airflow, stabilising the entire cooling capacity. The motor resistable loss percentage at over 10% indicates that it will boost heat exchange and system stability prominently.

Fan

The case is made of high-quality hot-dip galvanized steel plate. The side plate has an aerodynamic shape. The air inlet ring is integrally stretched and formed. The cochlear plate is integrated with the side plate by self-tapping screws in the form of undercut. At the vent, the cochlear plate is designed to conform to the aerodynamic special tongue to prevent vortex formation in the exit stream.

The forward multi-blade impeller is made of high-quality galvanized sheet for precision progressive die stamping. Crimping molding, reasonable design makes the aerodynamic performance of the fan to the best. All impellers are tested in accordance with ANSI/AMCA-204 using a precision electronic balancing machine for two-stage dynamic balancing with internal control accuracy up to G2.5.

Cooling Coil

The coils are made of the high-efficiency 3/8 seamless copper tubes with aluminum fins. It can work with high efficiency. Beside the connectors for the supply and return water lines, the air exhaust valve is also available. The inlet and outlet pipes are equipped with specially sealed connectors which has undergone 3.2Mpa pressure test and high-precision helium leak detection.

Filter

  • The metal filter is either 10mm or 21mm and it is made of multi-layer aluminum or stainless steel screens.
  • It is washable and economical. Moreover, it is safe, secure, and resistant to high temperature, acid and alkali. The PVC filter is 8mm thick.

Drain Pan

Stamped as a whole piece, there is no welding joint for the drain pan and leakage will be avoided. The insulation material is pressed against the whole, the combination is compact, the appearance is exquisite, the insulation performance is good, and there is no worry about condensation. The fixing position of the drain pan has a height difference to ensure that the drain pan is inclined at a certain angle after the unit is hoisted, and the condensed water is discharged smoothly.

Installation Instructions and Precautions

Installation Location and Environment

  1. Do not install the unit where there is heavy smog, otherwise the plastic components would age, break off or leak.
  2. Do not install the unit where there is corrosive or inflammable gas.
  3. Do use the lifting rod for installation and make sure the installation location is capable of bearing 4 times weight of the unit. If not, it should be reinforced before installation.
  4. The FCU should be kept level during hoisting. The lifting fitting is only allowed to bear the weight of the unit other than air ducts, water tubes, and other.

Electric Wiring

  1. All wiring should be performed by qualified technicians in accordance with national or local laws and regulations.
  2. The wiring diagram stuck to the body of the main unit always prevails.
    • Note: The wiring diagram as shown below is just for reference. Those struck to the main body of the unit always prevail for repair and maintenance.

Selection requirements

  1. Application type (standard / district cooling);
  2. Ventilation, drainage and power supply;
  3. Fresh air and ventilation requirements;
  4. Noise level or part required during peak period;
  5. The required control system, especially if winter heating is require;
  6. Give the unit enough space, including the floor-to-ceiling height, and take care of the maintenance.
    • Ensure that there is enough installation and maintenance space around the unit, and keep away from obstacles at the air inlet and outlet to ensure that the airflow can blow through the entire room, so that the unit is ventilated smoothly and reliably. The condensation pipe should be kept clear and the drainage gradient should be >5%.

  • It is applicable to fan coil units manufactured not only by GREE but also others.
  • It can be used matching with a standard #86 mounting case. As electric wiring is concealed inside it, it makes the whole indoor decoration looks better.

It is intended for indoor temperature control for the fan coil unit or ducted unit of the central air conditioning system. Based on difference of the actual indoor temperature and the set point, it will do control to the fan coil unit so as for desired indoor temperature, comfort and energy saving benefits.

With the micro-computer control technologies and large-sized LCD, it will control the electronic valve and the three-speed motor through push buttons (buttons for operation of ON/OFF, mode, fan speed and temperature). When the indoor temperature reaches the desired point, it will stop the electronic valve and let the motor run with the speed set point. There are additional functions, including timing ON/OFF, child lock, energy saving, and dehumidification. Manual setting are allowed to the fan operation after reaching the desired set point, hold-on temperature range and memory upon ON/OFF.

Water Valve

General

T41-V41 series electric heating constant-temperature water valve is intended to control the open and closed status of the pipes for the heating or cooling system so as to control the indoor temperature. There are both 2-way and three-way valves. On request, the extended coils and connection pipes as well as the water valve kit can be delivered all together. As installation of the water valve is quite simple, it can be installed by the contractor as shown in the figure below.

Assembly and Usages

  • Pay attention to the allowable water flow direction of the valve during installation. The control or drive device should be located above the valve. It would be better to use the three-way valve for mixed fluids.
  • Before powering the unit on, check the power source required for the drive, otherwise the motor would be damaged.
