DUKART ROOMMAP500 Floor Mounted Appliance User Manual
1. Introduction
Because UV-C radiation may harm humans and animals, the radiation has to be restricted to the inside of the device.
2. Content and purpose
The goal of this examination is to test the device for possible leakage of UV-C radiation.
2.1. Conditions during measurement
- humidity 48%
- ambient temperature 19°C
- closed room, no additional air circulation by air conditioners or ventilation.
- G2 filter attached
- G4 filter removed
- UV-measurement instrument Langshan LS125, serial number 125000929

– UV-probes for the instrument
o UVCLED-X0, serial number 125560291 This probe is sensitive over a range of
approx. 220 to 360nm.

o UVC-X0, Serial number 125550361 This probe is sensitive over a range of approx. 235 to 282nm.

Both probes were used for measurement.
3. Description of the measurements
Measurement area 1: in the upper area of the device flat on the G2
filter. The cover and G4 filter have been removed.
Measurement area 2: in the lower area of the device near the air outlet
360° around the unit.
3.1. Description of the rotary control settings
The ventilator power may be adjusted continuously using a rotary control. Figure 5 below shows for example the rotary control settings used during the measurements from the left to the right: 0, 33, 66 and 100 Percent.
3.2. Measurement area 1
In measurement area 1, both sensors were moved one after the other along a zigzag curve for a duration of min. 30s, see the red line in Figure 6 below. Subsequently, the measurements were stopped and the measured value was read.
Depending on the probe that is attached to the measuring instrument, the display switches between mW and µW with 3 additional decimal digits. This does not change the sensitivity, 0.0µW is the same as 0.000mW.
Measurement area 2
In measurement area 2, both sensors were moved one after the other along a zigzag curve for a duration of min. 30s, see the red line in Figure 9 below. Subsequently, the measurements were stopped and the measured value was read.
After this measurement the stand was removed so that measurements could also be taken in the gap, which is normally blocked, see Figure 9 (measuring path) and 12 (measurement).
4. Results
The ROOMMAP500 does not emit an amount of UV-C radiation that can be measured with the instrument, see figures 7, 8, 10 and 11.In all measured areas the UV-C radiation intensity is 0.0µw/cm² or 0.0000mW/cm². Since all measured values do not exceed 0.0µW/cm² (0.0000mW/cm²), statistical evaluation is not required.
