Assembly Instructions
Thank you for purchasing the Birchwood Manor Kitty Home™ by K&H Manufacturing.
NOTE : While this house may be used outdoors, like any pet home, rain or
snow may get into the door flaps. The purpose of the door flaps are to help
keep warmth in. It is always best to use this or any pet home in or under an
enclosure such as a garage, carport, shed, barn, deck, etc…
Your Birchwood Manor Kitty Home™ comes with a packet of Phillips-head screws. All you need is a Phillips-head screwdriver! Read all instructions carefully
IMPORTANT : If you are going to use the CLEAR DOOR FLAPS, NOW would be a good time to install them as it is much easier to get a proper alignment. Simply remove the tape and stick the door lap above the door. After initial installation, they can be removed.
HOW TO ASSEMBLE:

Place the end panel with door cutout on a lat surface. Make sure LOCKING CHANNELS are facing up. See Figure a.

Insert side panels into the channels of the end panel as shown, making sure all LOCKING CHANNELS align. See Figure b.

Slide bottom platform into LOCKING CHANNELS and be sure it seats fully into each channel. Glossy side should face the interior of the house. See Figure c.

Place 2nd end panel with door cutout onto the unit. Be sure it fully seats into the LOCKING CHANNELS. See Figure d.

Using the provided screws, screw the end panel through the pre-drilled holes onto the side panels. See Figure e.

Carefully turn unit over and repeat this step by screwing on another end panel. See Figure e.

- Place the house right side up onto its l oor and install pad into house. See Figure f.

NOTE : If you purchased the HEATED KITTY HOME, be sure to feed the cord through the provided hole located on the side of the house. See Figure f.

Fully seat roof the panel that has the weather stripping onto house, ensuring weather stripping is at the peak of the house. See Figure g.

Remove protective tape from weather stripping to expose glue. See Figure h.

Install 2nd roof panel, making sure channels are fully seated.

Using hands, press the roof together at its peak to help adhere the weather stripping. See Figure i.

If desired, use remaining screws to secure roof panels through pre-drilled holes. See Figure j.

K &H Limited Two Year Warranty
Our warranty is as follows: K&H Manufacturing warrants to the original
consumer, that this product will be free of defects and workmanship for a
period of two years from the date of purchase. The manufacturer’s liability
hereunder is limited to the replacement of the product. This warranty is void
if the product has been damaged by accident, unreasonable use, neglect,
tampering, or other causes not arising from defects in material or
workmanship.
To exercise your warranty : If, during the warranty period, your product malfunctions, return it to the place of purchase with your original purchase receipt. If this cannot be done, return the product, postage prepaid, to K&H Manufacturing, with dated proof of purchase or original date receipt. A return authorization number, obtained by calling 719-591-6950 must accompany all returns to the manufacturer. Please include a note explaining the problem when returning the product.

Care & Instructions
Thank you for purchasing K&H Manufacturing’s Birchwood Manor Thermo-Kitty
Home™. When used correctly, the kitty home and its included, heated pad should
provide years of hassle-free warmth for your pet. The Birchwood Manor Thermo-
Kitty Home™ and its heated pad are intended for use indoors and outdoors and
is perfect for garages, porches, barns and animal shelters. The heated pad is
designed for use with animals only.
WARNING : This is an electrical product. Read all directions and
precautions carefully before operating. Failure to properly follow all
directions and instructions may lead to electrical shock or ire which could
cause serious bodily injury.
USE INSTRUCTIONS
Read all instructions carefully. This is an electrical product, pay special care to IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS.
- Place heated pad inside the kitty house. Area chosen for the kitty house should be a sheltered area out of direct rain or snow.
- Plug into 110-120 volt AC outlet. Allow one to two hours for the BIRCHWOOD MANOR HEATED PAD to warm. The unit will feel slightly warm to the touch. When an animal lies on it, the pad will reach a maximum temperature of approximately 104 degrees F. The built in thermostat will automatically regulate the temperature.
- After initial warm-up, your BIRCHWOOD MANOR HEATED PAD will feel cooler to the touch. This is the intension for energy eficiency. When your pet lies on the pad, it will warm to a cozy pet-pleasing temperature even in the coldest of weather.
- Testing your BIRCHWOOD MANOR HEATED PAD. Place a blanket, pillow or another insulating object over part of your BIRCHWOOD MANOR HEATED PAD. After a few minutes, place your hand under the insulating object to experience the warmth your pet will enjoy.
- To store your BIRCHWOOD MANOR HEATED PAD, unplug, clean, and store pad when not in use.
- Save these instructions for your use.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
**For household Use Only**
The heated pad is an electrical device and must only be operated inside an enclosure such as a porch, shed, barn, dog house, or cat house.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT immerse cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children.
- ALWAYS unplug from outlet when not in use.
- DO NOT operate any electrical appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any way. RETURN all malfunctioning appliances to the factory for examination.
- DO NOT use appliance for anything other than its intended use.
- DO NOT PUNCTURE PLASTIC HOUSING FOR ANY REASON.
- For use with 110-120 volt AC ONLY.
- DO NOT cover your BIRCHWOOD MANOR HEATED PAD with blankets or materials other than a leece K&H HEATED PAD COVER. Other coverings may not allow heat to radiate properly and could cause pad failure.
- When placing the pad in an enclosed area, be sure pad covers no more than half of the loor space so your pet has the option of sleeping on or off the BIRCHWOOD MANOR HEATED PAD.
- When used outside your home, this unit must be plugged into a properly grounded electrical outlet rated for outdoor use. If you do not have a properly grounded outlet, contact a certiied electrician to have one installed.
- Always make sure the cord exits your pet’s enclosure. Keep cord out of the shelter.
Care Instructions:
You may clean the plastic housing of the BIRCHWOOD MANOR HEATED PAD with a
damp cloth when unplugged. The unit may be plugged in when the plug is
thoroughly dry. Machine wash pad cover on gentle cycle in cold water and line
dry.
