What type of phone is needed to download the BISSELL App?
- iOS & Android
- iPhone 5s or newer with iOS11.0 or newer
- We do not support Beta versions of any software
- Android phones that can run OS 6.0 (marshmallow) or higher
- We do not support Beta versions of any software
- We currently do not support other connected devices: i.e. Tablets, Laptops etc.
How do I download the BISSELL App?
- Download app from the Apple App Store, or the Google Play Store
What WiFi Connection is needed for the App?
- A 2.4 Ghz frequency connection is needed
- The machine will not communicate with a 5 Ghz frequency connection
How much space will the BISSELL App take on my mobile device?
- You will need enough available storage to download the BISSELL App
- Android will take approximately 150 MB
- IoS will take approximately 300 MB
Will I be able to connect on a public or unsecure network?
- In order to connect you will have to have a secure home network with a password
Will I still be able to connect if I am using a network extender?
- Yes you should still be able to connect
Which authentication and encryption protocols does BISSELL support?
- We support WPA, WPA2, and Open
How do I change the language in the BISSELL Connect app?
- Go to the hamburger menu (upper left corner) and select Account
- Choose App Preference and then the App Display Language you prefer
- Save changes
Can I use my Mobile Hot Spot to pair with my machine if Wi-Fi is unavailable?
- If Wi-Fi is not available in the home a Mobile Hot Spot can be used to pair with the machine, however the machine will not remain connected if the hot spot leaves the range of the machine
- If the hot spot leaves the range of the machine it will not be able to run scheduled cleans, the status of the machine wll not be available, and you will not be able to command the machine
Can I use a my WPS router to pair with my machine?
- The BISSELL Connect App does not support WPS Router pairing at this time
