Installation
The appliance can be mounted onto the wall or on the ceiling by means of the
wall bracket. When choosing a mounting location, make sure the device will be
able to swivel through 180° once mounted. Allow a 50 cm clearance on both
sides of the wall bracket.
To mount the bracket, mark the two mounting holes and drill the two holes with
an appropriate electric drill. Fix the bracket with the included bulge screws.
Fix the reel to the bracket using the included screws.
Use
General
- Pull the cable until the desired length is reached and hold. Slightly pull the cable until you hear a clicking sound. The locking mechanism will now lock the cable. If you need more cable length, simply pull the cable to the desired length; hold the cable and pull slightly to lock.
- To rewind the cable, pull the cable for about 40 cm until the clicking sounds disappear. Slightly release the cable so the auto-rewind mechanism pulls the cable. Do not force the device when rewinding the cable. Make sure the cable is neatly rewound onto the reel to avoid damage or malfunction.
Do not
let go of the cable when rewinding but feed it through your hand until the
cable has been retracted entirely. If not, the speed of the auto rewind
function may cause the cable to flop around and cause bodily injuries and/or
damage to surrounding objects.
This cable reel is thermally fused: the power supplied to the appliance in use
is cut down when the temperature of the wound cable exceeds 56°C. Reset by
pushing the red button at the side of the housing.
Overheating Protection
In case of overheating of the cable, the cable reel will automatically cut off
from the power supply. To re-connect to the power supply:
- Disconnect the cable reel from the mains.
- Fully unwind the cable and let it cool completely.
- Connect the cable reel to the mains. Press the red button to re-connect to the power supply.

-
The housing, visible parts, mounting supports, and the installation location (e.g. ceiling, suspension, trussing) should not be deformed, modified, or tampered with e.g. do not drill extra holes in mounting supports.
